Rick Wezenaar was born in 1968 in Utrecht, The Netherlands. At the early age of 11 he started with photography and has never stopped since.
In 1989 he started making professional photography. One of the things Rick really likes is travelling. Especially Indonesia has caught his photographic eye. Therefore, during a 4 year 'quest', Rick has travelled the countryside, villages and cities of Indonesia, capturing its beauty and culture. A small part of all these photographs taken during those journeys have found their way into this book. Dave Hartland is the manager of Netskills, a national training and staff development service based at Newcastle University and partly funded by the JISC. Netskills provides approximately 400 workshops per year primarily to the Higher and Further education and public library sectors in Internet technologies, Web service management, e-learning and information skills. The training materials developed for these workshops are made available via a licence system to universities and colleges. Netskills also runs accredited Professional Development Certificates in conjunction with the workshop programme. On August 26, 2024, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland decided in Teamsters Local Union No. 355 v. Total Distribution Services, Inc., that the Maryland Economic Stabilization Act (“Maryland WARN Act” or “Act”) does not provide individuals with the right to file suit in their personal capacity to enforce a legal claim under the Act. The Maryland WARN Act still may be enforced by the Maryland Department of Labor.  The Act is based, in part, on its federal counterpart, the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act, with important differences.
