The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects the benchmark Henry Hub spot price to average about $2.25 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) in 2024, a 10% decrease from 2023 and a 65% decrease from 2022. In its March Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO), EIA forecasts that U.S. natural gas inventories will be more than 30% higher than average at the end of the winter season following relatively low winter demand.

Natural gas produced from the three largest tight oil-producing plays in the United States has increased in the last decade. Natural gas comprised 40% of total production from the Bakken, the Eagle Ford, and the Permian compared with 29% in 2014.

1. The petitioner has sought temporary bail for the purpose of attending marriage ceremony of his younger brother which is stated to be scheduled on 9th and 10th November, 2024.

3. The petitioner has been arrested in a case arising out of the Crime No. 15/2024 for the commission of offences under Sections 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act. As per case of the prosecution, commercial quantity of contraband drugs was recovered from the possession of the petitioner on 27.08.2024 when he along with co-accused was travelling in a bus. The investigation is stated to be still in progress.

1.     This First Appeal under Section 19 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 (in short, 'the Act') challenges the order dated 16.02.2018 in complaint no. CC/26 of 2012 of the Rajasthan State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Jaipur (in short, 'the State Commission') allowing the complaint and directing the opposite parties no.1 to 4 jointly and severally to pay Rs.50 lakh to the complainant as compensation for medical negligence for the death of his son with simple interest @ 9% per annum from the date of the complaint (23.04.2012) till the date of payment within 2 months of the order.

3. In support of the petition, complainant has contended that the refusal by the trial court to take cognizance against the accused Nos.8 to 11 is opposed to law, facts and probabilities of the case. The trial court has failed to appreciate that accused Nos.8 to 11 have failed to act in accordance with law. They have altered the boundaries of the property of the complainant in a manner advantageous to accused Nos.1 to 7, without issuing notice to the complainant. There are specific allegations in para 8 of the complaint regarding illegal acts of accused Nos.8 to 11 which is sufficient to take cognizance against them. Not only accused Nos.8 to 11 guilty of not providing opportunity to the complainant by issuing notice, but also in altering boundaries of the property of the complainant contrary to the documents.
