Estrategia de excavación en Trinchera Galería (TG)

Antes de proceder a la excavación de Galería, en la Trinchera del Ferrocarril, en Atapuerca, se estableció una interesante discusión entre arqueólogos y geólogos a raíz de la entrada de sedimentos del exterior que penetran por gravedad desde otros dos yacimientos, la Covacha de los Zarpazos y Tres Simas. Curiosamente, en la parte media de Galería los sedimentos se encontraban totalmente horizontales y no presentaban la morfología de colada de la Covacha de los Zarpazos. Después de la discusión se estableció la metodología de excavación.
