Injuries to the central nervous system (CNS) can cause severe neurological deficits. Axonal regrowth is a fundamental process for the reconstruction of compensatory neuronal networks after injury; however, it is extremely limited in the adult mammalian CNS. In this study, we conducted a loss-of-function genetic screen in cortical neurons, combined with a Web resource-based phenotypic screen, and identified synaptotagmin 4 (Syt4) as a novel regulator of axon elongation. Silencing Syt4 in primary cultured cortical neurons inhibits neurite elongation, with changes in gene expression involved in signaling pathways related to neuronal development. In a spinal cord injury model, inhibition of Syt4 expression in cortical neurons prevented axonal sprouting of the corticospinal tract, as well as neurological recovery after injury. These results provide a novel therapeutic approach to CNS injury by modulating Syt4 function.

I have a sensitive trace on layer 2 and I would like to prevent any routing along or across it on adjacent layers (L1 and L3).

My idea was to use a route keepout shape on L1 and L3, however that also removed the ground pour on those layers and I would like to keep the ground pour.

Can I get around this somehow or should I use something else than route keepout?

A method of operation of a navigation system includes: receiving an origin and a destination; receiving a route keyword for routing between the origin and the destination; identifying a via point matching the route keyword; calculating a keyword group locale based on the via point within a group distance threshold from a keyword group center; and calculating a travel route from the origin to the destination traversing the keyword group locale for displaying on a device.

Some embodiments provide a mapping application that provides routing information to third-party applications on a device. The mapping application receives route data that includes first and second locations. Based on the route data, the mapping application provides a set of routing applications that provide navigation information. The mapping application receives a selection of a routing application in the set of routing applications. The mapping application passes the route data to the selected routing application in order for the routing application to provide navigation information.

Routing methods for an integrated circuit design layout are disclosed. The layout can include design netlists and library cells. A multiple-level global routing can generate topological wire for each net. An area oriented graph-based detail routing on the design can be performed. A post route optimization after the detail routing can be performed to further improve the routing quality. Some methods can be single threaded all or some of the time, and/or multi-threaded some or all of the time.

Techniques are described for implementing one or more logical routers within a single physical routing device. These logical routers, as referred to herein, are logically isolated in the sense that they achieve operational and organizational isolation within the routing device without requiring the use of additional or redundant hardware, e.g., additional hardware-based routing controllers. The routing device may, for example, include a computing platform, and a plurality of software process executing within the computing platform, wherein the software processes operate as logical routers. The routing device may include a forwarding component shared by the logical routers to forward network packets received from a network in accordance with the forwarding tables.

A technique dynamically configures and verifies routing information of broadcast networks using link state protocols in a computer network. According to the novel technique, a router within the broadcast network receives a link state protocol routing information advertisement from an advertising router, e.g., a designated router or other adjacent neighbor. The router learns of a next-hop router (“next-hop”) to reach a particular destination from the advertisement, and determines whether the next-hop is located within the same broadcast network (e.g., subnet) as the designated router. If so, the router further determines whether the next-hop is directly addressable (i.e., reachable), such as, e.g., by checking for link adjacencies to the next-hop or by sending request/reply messages (e.g., echo messages or “ping” messages) to the next-hop. In the event the next-hop for the destination is not directly addressable by the router (e.g., no adjacency or reply), the router installs a route to the destination via the designated router. Otherwise, the router installs a route to the destination via the next-hop.

The disclosure discloses an apparatus and method for rerouting multiple traffics. The apparatus includes a path computation unit and a traffic path incorporation unit, the path computation unit forwards a received uniform route computation notification message including multiple pieces of failed traffic connection information to the traffic path incorporation unit, and also forwards a route inquiry request transmitted from the head node of the fault traffic to the traffic path incorporation unit; the traffic path incorporation unit analyzes and detects the failed traffic connection information according to traffic incorporating and route inquiry statistic algorithm, and uniformly obtains and records the recovery route information from the path computation unit; when receiving the route inquiry request forwarded by the path computation unit, the traffic path incorporation unit is further configured to search the record according to the route inquiry request, and return the found corresponding recovery route information to the head node which requests the recovery through the path computation unit. The disclosure uses a incorporating and uniform route inquiry method, the resource loss of the path computation unit is reduced, and the efficiency of link restoration is improved.

A gaming system used in a wager-based electronic gaming machine is described. The gaming system is configured to provide picture in a picture capabilities on the electronic gaming machine. In one embodiment, the gaming system can include a first gaming device and a second gaming device where the first gaming device controls the second gaming device. The first gaming device can be configured to receive data and/or communicate with an electronic gaming machine controller, a value input device and value output device. The second gaming device can be configured to receive touchscreen data from a touchscreen display and first video data from the first gaming device and second video data from the EGM controller. Under control of the first gaming device, the first video data and second video data can be output in various sizes and locations on the touchscreen display.

A method, system and computer program product are disclosed for routing performance data to compute nodes. According to one aspect of the present disclosure each of a plurality of compute nodes are assigned a topic. Each topic may be associated with a set of calculations. Labeled performance metrics for an application are received. Each performance metric is labeled with a context under which the performance metric was collected. A topic is associated with each of the performance metrics based on the labeled context. Each respective node listens for a topic assigned to it in order to access the performance metrics associated with the assigned topic. Each respective node analyzes the performance metrics associated with the topic assigned to it.

A programmable routing scheme provides improved connectivity both between Universal Digital Blocks (UDBs) and between the UDBs and other micro-controller elements, peripherals and external Inputs and Outputs (I/Os) in the same Integrated Circuit (IC). The routing scheme increases the number of functions, flexibility, and the overall routing efficiency for programmable architectures. The UDBs can be grouped in pairs and share associated horizontal routing channels. Bidirectional horizontal and vertical segmentation elements extend routing both horizontally and vertically between different UDB pairs and to the other peripherals and I/O.

Embodiments described herein provide approaches for improving a standard cell connection for circuit routing. Specifically, provided is an IC device having a plurality of cells, a first metal layer (M1) pin coupled to a contact bar extending from a first cell of the plurality of cells, and a second metal layer (M2) wire coupled to the contact bar, wherein the contact bar extends across at least one power rail. By extending the contact bar into an open area between the plurality of cells to couple the M1 pin and the M2 wire, routing efficiency and chip scaling are improved.

Aspects of the present disclosure include a navigation system and computer-implemented methods for proactively re-routing vehicles to control traffic flow. Consistent with some embodiments, the navigation system seeks to reduce traffic flow along primary navigation routes (e.g., routes with relatively short travel times) by re-routing vehicles to alternative navigation routes (e.g., routes with relatively longer travel times) using incentives. As an example, upon detecting a vehicle traveling along an alternative route instead of a primary route, the navigation system updates a data structure that represents a user account of a vehicle occupant to reflect an increased account balance. Consistent with some embodiments, the amount of value provided to an occupant of a vehicle traveling along an alternative routes may be obtained from user accounts of occupants of other vehicles that are traveling along a primary route.

Aspects of the present disclosure include a navigation system and computer-implemented methods for proactively re-routing vehicles based on an analysis of input component data obtained from the navigation-enabled devices. The navigation system scores the input component data to obtain a measure of frustration (e.g., a feeling of being upset or annoyed) of the user of the navigation-enabled device. The navigation system may provide a detour suggestion for display on the navigation-enabled device to persuade the user of the device to direct their vehicle to depart from its current location or route in an effort to remove the vehicle from traffic, and thereby reduce the frustration level of the user. The detour suggestion may include an alternative route to the original destination, or an alternative destination.

The present disclosure relates to a grouting and welding combined connection joint and an offshore installation method thereof, characterized in that: it comprises a set of grouting systems disposed inside of the annular space formed by an inner shell of the central pore canal of a column with large cross section and an outer wall of a column with small cross section, as well as a group of brackets welded on a top deck of a column with small cross section and an inner shell of the central pore canal of the column with large cross section. The grouting and welding combined connection joint provided by the present disclosure has advantages of being able to adapt to the connection of different dimensions of columns, and having simple offshore installation, highly reliable structural safety and low cost.

Methods and apparatus are provided for finishing a composite floor. The apparatus includes a grouting pan configured to be affixed to the rotating head of a finishing machine. The grouting pan has a planar bottom surface and a curved sidewall. Grouting pans are rotated over a prepped surface such that the curved sidewalls trowel the mortar onto the rough composite surface and the bottom surface which is in contact with the prepped floor forces the mortar into the surface voids such that a grouted surface.

In fact, React Native’s routing landscape has been in constant upheaval for the last year. The library itself has official three ‘navigators’ for handling decision making on which components to show the user, including ‘NavigatorIOS’, ‘Navigator’, and - more recently - ‘NavigatorExperimental’. The open source community likewise has the packages ‘React Native Router Flux’, ‘React Native Router Native’, and ‘React Native Redux Router’, which of which are in various states of completion, or, more commonly, disrepair.

Today Jake is going to share some of his thoughts about his new library.

Q: Hi Jake! The React Native library contains several navigation solutions and the surrounding ecosystem has multiple routing libraries. What made you decide to make your own?

Hey! Thanks for reaching out. I’ve been eagerly watching what’s happening with navigation on React Native for a while. Until very recently, the whole Navigation scene in React Native was a mess. Navigator was being deprecated in favor of NavigationExperimental and NavigationExperimental wasn’t ready for prime time.

My team was just starting a new project so I tried quite a few of the available solutions. Having successfully used React Router on the web, we were looking for a similar solution. Unfortunately, React Router did not support React Native, and other solutions we found were either very unstable, had a hard time keeping up with upstream changes on each release or the quality of code was quite poor.

NavigationExperimental did most of what we wanted but it was a bit too low level so often times we found ourselves writing navigation related code and you can imagine how this gets tedious fast. The low level nature of NavigationExperimental is really by design to allow abstractions to be built up in higher layers. So to finally answer your question, the project came directly out of my frustration trying to make navigation work on React Native as good as React Router did on the web.

Q: What is the strength of your routing system? Is there any type of app that would be a perfect fit with React Router Native? Conversely, is there any type of app that wouldn’t be a good fit with the library?

The use cases for React Router Native is pretty much the same as NavigationExperimental—which is the only supported navigation library by the React Native team. React Router Native is a very thin layer on top of NavigationExperimental that offers React Router’s mental model in a native app. Under the hood, it uses React Router for routing and NavigationExperimental for rendering user components. This is a very powerful combination that makes URLs possible on mobile.

Most apps do not have deep-linking capabilities because implementing it for each screen in your app is a challenging task. Even within apps, users are often forced to take screenshots to share information. And for many, it’s vital that their apps support deep-linking. For example, Yelp goes as far to show a share prompt when users take screenshots of business listings. React Router Native enables developers to implement deep-linking in their apps without putting forth much effort. This can pave the way for a more connected app ecosystem.

That being said, we’re still in the early days of React Native figuring out the right abstractions. Navigation on mobile is a challenging task, and having different flavors is only healthier as the community weighs the pros and cons of each approach rather than second guessing best-practices. So I’m hoping to get the community involved to shape the direction of the project.

Q: Is React Router Native designed to be used with any of the official Navigation components written by the React Native team?

Absolutely. One of the primary goals of the project is that we follow React’s “learn once, write anywhere” principle. So you can use the community maintained components, interpolators and pan responders from React Native, and everything is highly customizable if you need instruct NavigationExperimental to do fancy transition animations, etc.

Q: The React Router team has somewhat famously rewritten their API several times in the last two years, each time introducing several breaking changes. Do you hope to keep your library at parity with React Router, breaking changes and all? Case in point, the V4 release of React Router will introduce an all-new API.

React Router v4 is a complete rewrite. There was a lot of head-scratching on Twitter over the entire new set of breaking changes. Many people thought v4 should at best have been released under a different name. I’m not sure if I agree with that sentiment though, I understand where it is coming from. React Router v4 is a preview release, and in my opinion, it’s really hard to argue against replacing a foreign API with simple React components. I do hope to keep the library at parity with React Router, and to be honest, v4’s new everything-is-a-component approach makes the integration even easier. So over the next few weeks I’ll be working on v4 support.

Q: If you were new to React Native, which routing solution would you use? Why?

This is a hard one to answer. Eric Vicenti has done a great job on NavigationExperimental and most of the issues have been sorted out by the community over the last few months. So if you’re familiar with Redux concepts and comfortable writing your own reducers to manage navigation state, NavigationExperimental is a great choice.

One that I’m surprised you didn’t mention that deserves more attention is ExNavigation—another fairly new addition to the brewery. It also uses NavigationExperimental and is maintained by Adam Miskiewicz, Brent Vatne and other awesome members of the Exponent community. It feels a bit tied to the Exponent platform, but runs perfectly fine on React Native and is open source. So you’ve got that.

Finally, If you’re just getting started with React Native and all you need is to be able to click a button and have it transition to a different scene but you don’t want it to get in your way when you need to reach in and apply complex navigational patterns, I strongly recommend you take React Router Native for a spin.
