rum Trump's Draft Evader Precipice By hucksrealm.blogspot.com Published On :: Mon, 08 Aug 2016 19:22:00 +0000 The United States is hovering at a precarious point in our history. The choice is to either go forward with moral clarity or succumb to our violent past with symptoms of racism, xenophobia, nativism, sexism, misogyny, ageism, anti-Veterans, anti-American values and more. Unfortunately, the party of Lincoln is wracked with dangerous splits with the only common factors being racism, sexism, equivocations and presidential obstruction. Party vision extends only to the present and disregards past lessons to integrate with the future. The most important factors seem to be hindering the President, haranguing Hillary Clinton and uttering senseless statements. Presumptive presidential candidate Donald John Trump spouts a litany of offensive equivocations, governmental and global ignorance, and flirtation with right wing racism and anti-Semitism. His attacks on people of color, Judaism, women and Muslims seem to evolve from the same extremist philosophy; and a misguided plan to generate support from a base believing the same. Trump’s early life shows incorrigibility with parental sentence of military school beginning at age twelve. The next six years were spent with a heavy program of military ethics, duty and honor. He seems to have rebelled against these and has displayed questionable patriotism, respect for the fallen and ignorance of American values. Reaching the age of eighteen meant Selective Service registration and Trump was no exception. Following indicates his draft history: 2-S school exemption 7/28/64 2-S school exemption 12/14/65 1-A induction eligible 11/22/66 2-S school exemption 12/13/66 2-S school exemption 1/16/68 1-A induction eligible 7/9/68 1-Y not eligible 10/15/68 Trump passed his military physical examination on 12/15/66 with no indication of any disqualifying conditions. He received two successive exemptions for college, but faced a Fortunate Son dilemma due to the Vietnam War heating up. Trump was briefly eligible for entry beginning on 11/22/66, but was able to achieve more 2-S deferments until July, 1968. He now faced the realistic expectation of military service since there were no more college exemptions to be had. The Vietnam War was at its apex following the Tet Offensive in late January, 1968, and troop strength was over 500,000. Trump underwent another service physical on 9/17/68 presenting a private physician letter attesting to a diagnosis of bone heel spurs. Young Trump was given an exemption of 1-Y, not eligible for induction except in time of national emergency or declared war. This seems odd since the young man participated in athletics at the military academy and secondly, the US was in dire need of more military manpower to fight the war. Subsequently, many young men were inducted into with minor medical or psychological issues to fill the rolls. Bone heel spurs were not necessarily disqualifying since men were being accepted with flat feet, a more debilitating condition. The only other factor to take into consideration is relatively simple-he was the son of a millionaire thus in today’s parlance, affluenza. Trump later bragged his condition was not painful and temporary thus negating the 1-Y rating given and proving his Fortunate Son status. He also stated his personal Vietnam was partying and bedding beautiful women with a developing fear of venereal disease. Donnie has refused to discuss the draft subject during the campaign rebuffing all questions. One can only ponder the fate of those who took his place in the draft. Full Article
rum A Letter To Donnie Trump By hucksrealm.blogspot.com Published On :: Mon, 24 Jun 2019 02:56:00 +0000 Dear Donnie, Admittedly, I am an independent opposed to your presidency for a very simple reason-you lack character, integrity, empathy, compassion and knowledge to be president of this already great nation. My own background emanates from an Iowa farm which taught me responsibility at an early age. Our lives were dependent on the soil, cream from milk our cows produced and forage to feed them. I, along with others, was instilled with community spirit, respect for elders and others, truthfulness, a hard work ethic and enduring farm life hardships. You, on the other hand, were a Fortunate Son given much of what money could buy except a basic connection to humanity, socialization, and knowledge. Predator capitalism lessons forged by your father were learned at an early age and you rebelled to the point of being cast way to a military academy for being incorrigible by your parents. It's not too difficult to assume the absence of family and love during those years coupled with hostility fomented a desire to deter military tenets of honor, duty, accountability and dedication to nation. Your brashness, self-centeredness, fear of germs, malignant narcissism, pathological equivocation and overall spite towards the poor, people of color, business partners, Veterans, women and many others are easily understood. After all, it is always someone else's fault and not yours. You had no desire to be subjected to the Selective Service military draft receiving five exemptions with the last medically disqualifying you for heel bone spurs. Ironically, you participated in athletics at the military academy for many years and successfully passed your Selective Service physical on December 15, 1966. Four 2-S school deferments, 2 1-A meaning eligibility for induction and finally 1-Y, not eligible for service unless a state of emergency or war is declared. Looking this over brings a simple question of why you weren't drafted after receiving a 1-A ruling on July 7, 1968 and holding it for three months. 1968 was the height of the Vietnam War and draftees and enlistees were being accepted regardless except for the most afflicted. Of course, you immediately showed up for another physical on September 9, 1968, with a paid M.D. letter attesting to your heel bone spurs with a bit of affluenza thrown in undoubtedly. Now the truth came out of a deal your father made with a podiatrist, whom happened to rent from him, for a bone spur letter. If your name had been Smith, Washington or Gonzales, you would been on a flight to basic training, but not Trump. Still, it doesn't answer the question of why you weren't inducted during the three months of 1-A eligibility. You had already decided the military was not for you probably due to your castaway military academy days, absent parents, a lot of cowardice due to Vietnam fear, being a germaphobe, no desire to be around minorities and perhaps a little of Leona Helmsley attitude whereas laws are meant for the little people. The Donald stated repeatedly in interviews in the past these bone spurs were TEMPORARY and NOT PAINFUL. You cloud the issue with misstatements and historical ignorance of your own draft history. You resort to the old "look up my records" reply to any draft queries or ignore altogether. The real reasons, in my opinion, were twofold. First, you were afraid of the real military, being treated like everyone else and possible Vietnam service. This type of fear carries to the present day indicative by your anger over criticisms, immediate shoot from the hip caustic responses, bullying, and proclivity towards tough-guy statements exhorting others to attack those who protest against you or are the wrong ethnicity or religion. All of this while you are safely protected by security while never admitting the exclusion of minorities or violence was wrong. Secondly, Donald, you are simply not a team player. Fortunate Son upbringing and being rejected by your parents in favor of a military academy transformed you into a loner needing constant reinforcement of status, admiration, and self-worth. You never developed adequate social skills relying instead on names on glimmering towers, manufactured adoring fans, accouterments of wealth, constant media appearances, etc., which attest to your singular narcissistic status. This malignant narcissism precludes any team concept and subsequently being deemed a leader. Your inner fear culminates in disparaging the handicapped, denying health insurance to your own niece, abject coldness, lack of empathy and much more. The campaign trail has shown you to utter caustic speech, insecurity, self-absorption, bullying, racism, misogyny, sexism, etc., which are not signs of a leader, but a plea for help. Your incessant desire to be deemed a "tough guy" is not accorded a great deal of credibility since you're not. Donnie, you surround yourself with convicted felons, extremists and other miscreants which denies rather than create a tough aura. Rather, it gives an image of someone who doesn't respect authority or the laws behind it-perhaps another adolescent creation. Your childlike protest of "I didn't know" or the "evil media" after staff or delegate less than saintly status is revealed only heightens this disregard and contradicts your self-proclaimed "smart guy" declaration. Here are a few just to remind you: a. Joseph Weichselbaum, personal helicopter pilot. Twice convicted felon for drug distribution, tax evasion, grand theft auto and embezzlement. You wrote a letter to the court in November, 1987, prior to drug trafficking and tax evasion sentencing vouching for him being "conscientious, forthright and diligent...a credit to the community." b. John Staluppi-friend and Colombo crime family member. You worked closely with him to create the Donald Trump Signature Series Cadillac debuted in 1988. c. Katrina Pierson, national spokesperson-convicted of shoplifting in 1997 and accepted state unemployment insurance benefits, $11,000 (11 months worth) in 2012 while working on the Ted Cruz campaign. Texas law requires a recipient to be looking for full time paid employment, but Pierson apparently discarded that. She was working for Cruz, traveling the nation shilling the "evil" UN Agenda 21 theory and simultaneously planning a political career running against Rep. Pete Sessions. Obvious questions are was she paid by the Cruz campaign for this and where did the traveling money come from? Oh, she lost the election by 70%. She is notorious for time traveling, that is, blaming Obama for the 2004 death of Capt. Khan, son of a Gold Star Family who you, Donnie, disparaged for being Muslim. You didn't rebuke her for making this statement, Katrina is still employed somewhat and you are being blamed. d. Mike and Irene Millin, joined with Trump for the Trump Institute which Trump University was umbrella organization and other "educational oferings." Milins had a troubled past with their National Grants Conference which was investigated by thirty-two state attorney-general for fraud, scamming and deceptive business practices. The television program Life Styles of the Rich and Famous sued both for failure to fulfill contractual requirements. Their National Grants Conference finally went bankrupt in 2006 owing $2.1 million to creditors following intense attorney-generals' pressure. This didn't bother Trump vetting as he deemed them an asset to his Institute and according to a 2006 report, the National Grants Conference and Trump Institute shared at least three of the same owners and a joint Boca Raton, Florida, address. e. Trump and the Millins together focused on Trump University, but the endeavor was receiving criticism for not being an accredited university or college. Trump directed a name change to Trump Entrepreneur Initiative following these claims, but actions were too little, too late. The Initiative closed down in 2006, but faced continuing legal scrutiny by the New York Attorney General who began an intensive investigation in 2011 for false claims and illegal business practices. This eventually led into a major 2013 class action lawsuit settled later for $25 million. However, a small group of litigants didn't accept the meager settlement and are pursuing further court action. f. Felix Sater-convicted felon with alleged organized crime connection worked closely with Trump on several deals. He had been convicted of money laundering in 1990s; later went to prison for plunging wine glass stem into a commodity broker's face; and avoided prison a second time for massive $40 million stock fraud and swindle, but was charged as an unindicted co-conspirator in 2000. and later found guilty of stock fraud in 2009. Trump partnered with the Sater Bayrock Group, a small development firm, with headquarters in Trump Tower in 2005. He worked with Donald/Ivanka on the legally troubled Soho project; Trump International Hotel and Tower, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, which failed with $100,000 in customer deposits lost; the canceled Trump Las Olas, Florida, project; and unsuccessful ventures in Colorado and Arizona. Sater now is a person of considerable interest to the Mueller investigation. g. Your Cabinet-new scandals seem to pop up daily. Misuse of government funds, travel, policy revisions detrimental to the public, etc., all seem to indicate your lack of concern, inability to supervise or a reflection of yourself. There are many more examples one could cite, but the most tragic is your inhumane action towards Puerto Rico and separating children from families along the border. You refused to renew the Jones Act waiver to allow all ships to offload needed supplies to the island. The Jones Act prohibits foreign ships from docking unless waived and you simply created a more disastrous situation sing to renew the waiver. Your excuse of aid damaging your budget was abominable and indicative of a challenged mind. Again, you lack human compassion, empathy and heartlessness only exacerbated an already tragic situation resulting in 4666 deaths to date. Obviously, there is a racist tint here exhibited in your campaign and presidency, but now even against US citizens in Puerto Rico. I won't dwell on the child separation issue except to mention your own failure as a parent is at center-your children and son-in-law under criminal investigation. All reflecting your belief to be above the law and skirt, if not break, when necessary. The outrage wave must have stunned you and condemnations for seeking funds for your border wall to free children was sickening. It was Trump policy created months ago, not law, though you attempted to blame Democrats for the action. Again, vacating any notion of taking responsibility for your actions. Painting children as MS-13 members was reminiscent of earlier racist comments made during the campaign. Well, Donnie, you are in a fix!! My recommendation is to resign and take Pence with you since he is religiously obsessed. Both of you need psychiatric treatment and a long trip to Moscow for future residence! Full Article

rum Google Groups for the Behold Forum??? By www.lkessler.com Published On :: Google Groups might be a viable alternative to using a Forum software on my site for Behold Genealogy user discussions. There are several good reasons I see: Gives you all the features of Google Groups. If you already use Google Groups for other newsgroups, it makes it very convenient for you. Allows you to get messages via e-mail and post via e-mail. Has an RSS feed if you want it. Will be indexed and searchable by Google, so others can find out about Behold. Very little maintenance required by me. I got the idea from Firebug, a Firefox addin that uses it quite successfully. See at: http://groups.google.com/group/firebug So I'd like your opinion. Do you think I should use this for Behold's User Forum, or should I stick to my own installed Forum software on my Behold website? rum Six Forums By www.lkessler.com Published On :: Forum. Forum. Forum. Forum. Forum. Forum. The current forum software I use on my site is Broadboard, a VBScript ASP forum that has worked quite well. But it's author stopped maintaining it several years ago, and it uses Microsoft Access as a database, which may limit it in the future. Also, it does not use CSS so would be difficult to adapt to the new site design. Then I thought about Simple Machines Forum, a full-featured free PHP-based forum. Lots of people like it and it has everything but the kitchen sink, but it felt bloaty to me. I took a stab at Google Groups which didn't look bad. But it wasn't under my control and wouldn't link into WordPress, and then I found out about... Vanilla - a plain vanilla standard-based standards-compliant Forum with plug-in capability. I started trying to integrate it with WordPress, but then it became obvious to try bbPress, the forum used at WordPress and developed with the same core code that WordPress uses. But bbPress appeared to be a bit too primitive. Then I found... Simple Forum - an actual WordPress plugin. Just drop it in and it's there. Full featured and 100% compatible and pre-integrated with WordPress. I don't remember the last time I've been so impressed by a software package. The author's site and his support and development of this package is a model for me to follow with Behold. So hopefully this weekend, I'll have the new Blog and new Forum all finished (and I will be transferring all my old blog entries and the forum posts over). Then I'll make sure that my background scripts and integration with my Buy Now page works. If those have few problems, I may be able to get the new redesigned site up by end of next week. Then I'll finally be able to get back to Behold development. This new site has taken me 2 months since I announced it. I thought it would only take a few weeks, but that's the way it goes sometimes. I've learned a lot about CSS and new web technologies and PHP scripting and MySQL databases, which will benefit me as I move Behold along. Full Article
rum Back to Forum Five By www.lkessler.com Published On :: Yes, I had planned on going to Simple Forum. I'm still very impressed by it. But, I wanted to customize it to my site and change not only the appearance (which can easily be done through CSS), but also the content of what is included and where. Unfortunately, although the PHP code is all available, it is very tightly written and is not easy to change. I'd have to be very much an expert at PHP to do it properly. And such custom modifications would make it very difficult to upgrade to future versions. I wouldn't want to get stuck at the current version. So we hereby redeclare the winner to be bbPress. Works just like WordPress. It can also be easily extended by plugins, but more importantly almost all of it is easily customizable. I should be able to add some really useful features, such as showing you the topics you started and all the topics you participated in. I commented last entry that bbPress was "primitive". Well, yes it is. But it is just starting to take off, and people are really getting excited about it and starting to turn it around. And as far as handling large forums goes, just check out the Wordpress Support Forum which has well over 600,000 posts already. It uses bbPress. The one intangible I really like about it is that I can have it in its own directory called "forum", rather than under the blog directory as "blog/forum" or as a strange url such as "blog/?page_id=6" as Simple Forum requires since it is a plugin under WordPress. People on Unix boxes can use pretty permalinks and can change that, but on my Windows host, I can't. I decided to completely reinstall WordPress and bbPress and start fresh. After all those databases I tried, I really gunged everything up and needed to clean it out and be sure it's all working. That only took a day and now I'm merrily customizing and integrating it into my new site design. Still not done, but its getting there. Full Article
