Award-winning composer Peter McConnell is no stranger to the world of Plants vs. Zombies . Battle for Neighborville is his third soundtrack for the series. He's also no stranger to the banjo! Peter gave the whole soundtrack a real roots feel, also using a slide guitar. "The world has lost one of the greats of magic, but I have lost my best friend," Siegfried Fischbacher said of his partner in a statement. "Roy was a fighter his whole life including during these final days. I give my heartfelt appreciation to the team of doctors, nurses and staff at Mountain View Hospital who worked heroically against this insidious virus that ultimately took Roy's life." Actor Peter Fonda, best-known for his iconic role as a free-spirited motorcycle rider in the 1969 counterculture classic Easy Rider , died Friday at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 79. The Wexner Center for the Arts is making a call for submissions for it's Ohio Shorts 2020 film event. Submit your work to our 24th annual competition showcasing Ohio-produced short films—from documentary, animation, or dramatic narrative, to anything in-between! Entires will be accepted electronically through March 2nd, and prizes will be awarded at a screening and reception on April 18th. To apply, artists who work with film and/or video are invited to submit work to either the adult division (19 and older) or the youth division (18 and younger). Submission guidelines can be found at the event website. Each person or team whose video is selected for the showcase will be awarded a $50 screening fee and a complimentary ticket for the evening. From helping to popularize acts like Run-DMC and the Beastie Boys to defending free speech alongside Luther Campbell to boycotting the Grammys with Public Enemy and the Fresh Prince, there’s very little Bill hasn’t done.
