Making a venture into the personal digital healthcare domain, Facebook has revealed a "Preventive Health" tool that connects people to health support and sends checkup reminders.

Giving more power to its 1.2 billion daily users, Facebookwill now allow them to automatically launch its crisis response tool "Safety Check" in case of an earthquake, terror attack, tsunami and so on.

On the heels of Data Privacy Day, Facebook introduced the “Off-Facebook Activity” tool, which shows you all of the businesses and apps that give information about you to Facebook.  This information seems to be collected and shared with Facebook by those 3rd parties whether or not you were using Facebook in any way to log into, visit or use those sites/apps.  They simply have a business relationship of some kind, which results in the collection and sharing of information about you. Kudos to Facebook for providing this information and giving us tools to further manage our privacy.  It's good to know we can now take back some control. Here's how...
