I remember a sermon against cowboy boots because wearing them would make the person proud. There was a time when two trips to the altar was the norm with little focus on a relationship with Christ or a life to be disciplined. There was more of a focus on legalistic rules to follow, most of them in the negative. -- Today we hear life sermons. They emphasize how to live first, but there is not much emphasis on the divine work of grace to empower and enable one to live a holy life. Could it be that the time is right for us to bring the two approaches together? We need the message of living a holy life, but we need to receive the divine experience and be filled with the Holy Spirit who gives us the grace to live out God's plan for holy living. -- We can't live a holy life alone in our own power. Yes, we can discipline ourselves, but it is always with an inner struggle. God put in place a plan for us to to be set free from the bent toward sin. We need the kind of doctrinal preaching that will lead people to receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit so they can have a holy relationship with a holy God. Let's use the Biblical terms like Sanctification [8th Kingdom - The Eternal Kingdom of Jeus Christ] so people will understand them when they read about them in the Word. There has never been a greater need for the church to preach the wonderful message of [8th Kingdom] holiness. Let's proclaim it! ~ Dr. Louie E. FeedForAll Mac Now in Beta
A 'Beta' release of our FeedForAll Mac software product has been released. This means that the product is stable, but does not yet contain all the features planned for the final release. Nor does it contain all the documentation. It's purpose is to get feedback from users about the way the product works (general look and feel), and to get feedback concerning the features that are included (or should be included) in a final release. When the feature-set is finalized and at least preliminary documentation is available, then the product will be released in a second 'Beta' version.

There is minimal documentation so feel free to ask questions! We welcome criticism, and feedback! The aesthetics are still in progress so the look will improve! We recently attended the Syndicate Conference in New York City.

Major industry announcements at the Syndicate Conference included:
- Newsgator's acquisition of FeedDemon
- Google's beta launch of AdSense for RSS feeds
- Topix.net announced they will carry streaming video content from Reuters
- Bloglines announced they will offer weather forecasts
- Pheedo will license RSS ad-serving technology to Transcosmo
- New York Times announced they would be charging for online access to op-ed and columnists.

IDG deemed the Syndicate Conference a success and has planned a west coast event for December 12-14, 2005 at the Argent Hotel in San Francisco, CA.

RSS Security
As RSS gains momentum, security fears loom large. As publishers are quickly finding innovative uses for RSS feeds, hackers are taking notice. The power and extendibility of RSS in its simplest form is also its achilles heel. The expansion capabilities of the RSS specification, specifically the "enclosure" field which has launched the podcasting phenomenon, is where the vulnerabilities lie. The enclosure field in itself is not the problem, in fact the majority of RSS feeds do not even use the enclosure tag. The enclosure tag is essentially used to link to file types, things like images, word documents, mp3 files, power point presentations, executables and can be thought of in similar terms to email attachments.

We are pleased to announce the release of FeedForAll Mac v1.6. The following are some of the new features in the FeedForAll Mac release:

* Extensions (XML Namespaces) have been completely redone and iTunes is now fully supported;
* Easily include Extensions (XML Namespaces) when creating Feeds and Podcasts. FeedForAll Mac makes adding metadata elements for iTunes (itunes), Microsoft® Simple List Extensions, Dublin Core, Syndication, and Content by simply selecting the appropriate Namespace.

FutureRSS
FutureRSS is a PHP script converts an RSS feed to HTML and displays only the current RSS feed's items. The new functionality allows webmasters to pre-plan an RSS feed's items and prepare them in advance.

The FutureRSS script only displays items thats dates have passed. Allowing web publishers to prepublish content weeks or even month's in advance, knowing that the content will automatically be displayed at the appropriate time. Publishers can control the publication date, syndicating contents well in advance. The new FutureRSS script will be made available free of charge to all registered users of FeedForAll and FeedForAll Mac.

SQL2RSS
SQL2RSS has joined the RSS Scripts Directory. THe new PHP script will allow you to create RSS feeds from MySQL databases. When using SQL2RSS the publisher has complete control over the content in the resulting RSS feed. Administrators and publishers control the database query which allows them the flexibility to determine what data is inserted into the RSS feeds from the database.

New Logo Templates
A group of rss2html logo templates have been added to the RSS2HTML template directory. The new logo templates take presentation of RSS feeds in an HTML web page a step further, by adding a graphical image to the layout. New templates are added to the template directory on a regular basis so be sure to check out the newest templates.
