The number of total confirmed cases in the country rose to 62,939, including 19,358 patients who have been cured and discharged or migrated, according to the Ministry.

The total number of active cases in the country, therefore, stands at 41,472. The number of deaths in the country due to the infection reached 2,109 on Sunday.

While Maharashtra, with 20,228 cases is the worst-affected state, it is followed by Gujarat with 7,796 and the national capital, Delhi, with 6,542 cases. Tamil Nadu, is marginally behind Delhi with 6,535 cases.

A meningitis outbreak has killed 931 people in four West African countries since January, with most of the deaths occurring in Nigeria, the UN children's fund said Wednesday.

It is, therefore, argued that the Ld. MM committed a grave error in dismissing the complaint as both the documents constituting the offence were on record.

पिछले साल गेहूं सीजन में मंडी में खरीद शुरू हुई तो तमाम मुश्किलों का सामना करना पड़ा था। कभी किसानों की हड़ताल कभी मजदूरों की हड़ताल हुई थी। यहां तक की लिफ्टिंग की बहुत समस्या आई थी। लेकिन इस बार कोरोना वायरस के उम्मीद जताई जा रही थी कि पिछली बार से भी ज्यादा परेशानी होगी। लेकिन हुआ बिल्कुल उलट।

पिछले साल आठ मई तक खन्ना अनाज मंडी और तीन सब सेंटरों में कुल मिलाकर 10,25,92,0 क्विंटल गेहूं की फसल पहुंची थी। लेकिन इस बार 971780 क्विंटल फसल पहुंच चुकी है। जोकि पिछले साल की खरीद का कुल मिलाकर 93 फीसदी हो चुका है। जिस हिसाब से खरीद चल रही है कि उस हिसाब से इस बार मंडी में गेहूं की आमद होने की संभावना बन गई है।

इस बार खरीद के पहले कुछ दिन पास व टोकन को लेकर आढ़तियों को शिकायतें भी थी। लेकिन एसडीएम के आदेशों के बाद मार्केट कमेटी अधिकारी पूरी मेहनत से खरीद में जुटे थे। मार्केट कमेटी सेक्रेटरी दलविंदर सिंह खुद 14 दिन से मंडी में रहे हैं। पूरा स्टाफ भी मंडी में ही मौजूद रहा और 24 घंटे तक काम हुआ है।
जतिन/राजू.खन्ना|कोरोना वायरस के बढ़ रहे प्रकोप के बीच अनाज मंडी में गेहूं की फसल को लेकर सुखद खबर आई है। इस बार खन्ना अनाज मंडी व इसके सब सेंटरों में खरीद के 24 दिन में ही 93 फीसदी गेहूं की आमद हो चुकी है। जिसमें से 93 फीसदी की ही खरीद हो चुकी है। इसमें 74 फीसदी की लिफ्टिंग भी हो चुकी है। खरीद के पहले कुछ दिन परेशानी जरूर आई थी, लेकिन एसडीएम के नेतृत्व में मार्केट कमेटी चेयरमैन, अफसरों व स्टाफ की मेहनत, आढ़ती एसाे. का सहयोग, खरीद एजेंसियों की सतर्कता से सीजन 24 दिन में ही अंतिम पड़ाव में पहुंच चुका है।

हालांकि, अभी भी 26 फीसदी लिफ्टिंग होना बाकी है। लेकिन मार्केट कमेटी अफसरों का कहना है कि अगले दो या तीन दिन में स्पेशल लगने के बाद लिफ्टिंग भी 90 फीसदी तक पहुंच जाएगी। एक हफ्ते में सीजन खत्म होने के करीब होगा।
