Hysteretic magnetism–dielectricity switching in 2D Hofmann type spin-crossover compounds
DOI: 10.1039/D3QI02660D, Research Article
Two 2D Hofmann type compounds {Fe(3,4-bpt)2[M(CN)4]} were synthesized. They showed reversible switching in magnetism, dielectricity, and thermochromism actuated by the spin transition of Fe(II).

Achieving high-sensitivity dual-mode optical thermometry via phonon-assisted cross-relaxation in a double-perovskite structured up-conversion phosphor
DOI: 10.1039/D4QI00395K, Research Article
By adjusting the phonon energy of the host crystal (Ca2+/Sr2+/Ba2+) LaLiTeO6:Yb3+, Tm3+ phosphor, combined with the cross-relaxation phenomenon, a high-sensitivity thermometer for dual-mode temperature measurement was constructed.

sp2–sp cross-carbanion coupling at a rare-earth center leading to the formation of carbon–carbon double bonds
DOI: 10.1039/D4QI00178H, Research Article
The reaction of rare-earth azametallacyclopentadienes with terminal alkynes provides rare-earth metallacycles with cumulated double bonds in three steps: alkynyl C–H bond activation, sp2–sp cross-carbanion coupling and subsequent isomerization.
