• It will be a “tough day” for the recipients.
• While there is something to be said for a time certain (“by 9pm ET”), it is also a potential axe hanging oh-so precariously over one’s head, with the rope fraying strand-by-strand.
• Any organization that calls HR “the People team” wants to make it seem as though one would never receive an emailed message of this nature.
• What is “helping. . .with the utmost respect”? It may sound good. Does this mean there will be no judgment as “We” help pack the corrugated cardboard boxes?

What a name.

Cally Davis and Catrin Rees called él Records home and its proprietor, UK indie-pop patron saint Mike Alway, their lodestar. I can never get enough of old musical and comedy variety shows these days. I remember them being rather cheesy from what I can remember of their original airings, but they are yet another thing that gets better with age. There were many of these throughout the 1960s and 70s, anchored by star hosts with a never-ending parade of different guest stars every week to do their own musical numbers and join in the comedy sketches. Sonny and Cher were two of the biggest stars in this genre- in 1971 they were set to take up residency for a live show in Las Vegas when they had to cancel because CBS offered them a weekly TV show, five episodes of which are featured here.

Well, I'm bringing the blog back to announce that we are expecting baby seven in October! I think most everyone who reads this blog already knows this, however, since this is mainly a scrapbook for our children, it seemed fitting to write this post. We are thrilled and so thankful for our new little baby. All of the children are so excited and ask daily when we will find out if this baby is a boy or a girl. :) Hopefully, we will find out ON MONDAY! :) I'm having an early ultrasound done and if the baby cooperates, we will know then!

I've mentioned before that the baby's heart rate at 14 weeks has correctly determined the gender of every one of our children. The girls' heart rates were both in the 170s and the boys' were all in the 150s. Well, I had my 14 week appointment today and the heart rate was 138! I'm going to assume that means BOY.
Another interesting predictor for us has been the year in which the baby is born. The girls were both born in even years and the boys were born in odd years. This is an even year so that suggests a GIRL. So, we're back to square one with the predictions. Maybe we will know on Monday. I'll come back with the results then.

a BOY!!!! We were all able to go to the ultrasound today, which is a first. Normally just Rick and I go but this time everyone tagged along. The room was huge and it had a few toys in in for the children to play with. Jack and Sims played with those toys the entire time. Miles sat with Rick and looked confused, and Kate, Claire, and Henry seemed pretty interested to see what was going on. The tech asked for last minute guesses and all of the kids guessed GIRL. We could tell right away that he was in fact, a HE and everyone was happy - even Kate and Claire. :)
We are thrilled to know and thankful to be having another little boy. That will make 5 boys, 6 and under! How fun will that be?? We will have our own boys' basketball team. It's a good thing I have Kate and Claire - they will help soften up our home. :)
We are praying the Lord will continue to knit him together and that we will be able to meet him in time.

I am nearly 37 weeks now and baby Charlotte is still breech. She has been for as long as I can tell. I feel kicks in totally different places than I normally do and I'm not experiencing some of the late term pains that the others have given me. I think she just likes being up close to my heart. :) I will be admitted to Labor and Delivery early Wednesday morning and my doctors will attempt to manually turn her. Claire was also breech and I had the same procedure preformed with her. Since Charlotte and Claire have the same initials, I'm just assuming she's trying to be like her big sister.

I just returned home from seeing the doctor and sweet baby girl has flipped again. I guess she just likes being breech. So, we have decided it's best to have a csection. There were many factors I discussed with my doctor before making this decision. He delivered every single one of our kids and I'm so glad it appears that he will also be taking care of Miss Charlotte. We have our date and, Lord willing, she will be here end of next week. Hopefully, the next post will have a picture of our new little one!

U A selekciju Bosne i Hercegovine ponovno je pozvan Nail Omerović koji je nedavno debitirao protiv Mađarske u Ligi nacija. Sada je ostao u konkurenciji za predstojeće dvoboje u istome natjecanju, protiv Njemačke (16. studenoga) u Freiburgu i Nizozemske tri dana kasnije u Zenici. Sergej Barbarez ga također vidi na poziciji desnog bočnog, na kojoj najčešće igra i u redovima Bijelo-plavih. Arnel Jakupović ostao je i nadalje na širem popisu reprezentativaca Austrije za utakmice protiv Kazahstana i Slovenije. „Na oku“ je, dakle, izborniku Ralfu Rangnicku koji prati njegove igre za NK Osijek, što mu je zasigurno motiv više da se kod nas pokaže u najboljem izdanju.

Ovaj puta imamo trojicu igrača koji su dobili pozive za U-21 selekciju Hrvatske. To su Nikola Čavlina, Marko Soldo i Ivan Cvijanović, za koje možemo reći da su standardni u ovoj selekciji, dok su na pretpozivu ostali Domagoj Bukvić i Šimun Mikolčić. Izabranike Ivice Olića očekuju dva izlučna susreta play-offa na kraju kvalifikacija za Europsko prvenstvo i to protiv Gruzije. Prvo će se igrati 15. studenoga u Tbilisiju, a 19.11. uzvrat je na riječkoj Rujevici. Niko Farkaš i Filip Živković iznova su uvršteni u reprezentaciju U-19 koja svoje kvalifikacije za plasman na kontinentalnu smotru nastavlja turnirom u Karlovcu. Od 13. do 19. studenoga Hrvatska će redom igrati protiv Armenije, Bjelorusije i Srbije. Imamo i dvojicu U-18 reprezentativaca. To su Fran Peček i Ivan Barić, također naši juniori koji putuju u Rijeku na prijateljski turnir gdje će naša nacionalna vrsta za protivnike imati vršnjake iz Portugala, Republike Irske i Japana. I za kraj, Matej Grahovac i Dražen Jaman uvršteni su u selekciju U-17 za dvije kontrolne utakmice s Ukrajinom, također u Rijeci.

Konkurencija je bila vrlo jaka, a u sastavu hrvatske reprezentacije našao se i član AK Slavonija-Žito Lovro Nedeljković. U utrci seniora na 10.000 metara naš je dugoprugaš zauzeo vrlo dobro, osmo mjesto s rezultatom 31:59,33.

Zlato je osvojio Albanac David Nikolli s vremenom 30:24,61, srebro je zaslužio Turčin Ayetullah Aslanhan (30:32,31), dok je bronca pripala Ukrajincu Ihoru Porozovu (30:44,86).

Nedeljković je, inače, ostvario najbolji plasman od hrvatskih reprezentativaca koji su nastupili u ovoj konkurenciji.

Postano: 13.11.2024. 13:51 (GMT 1) Od 1. studenog vozači moraju imati upaljena dnevna ili kratka svjetla, a od 15. studenog moraju imati i zimske gume.

U petak, 15. studenog stupa na snagu zimski režim na cestama, što znači da limeni ljubimci moraju imati i zimsku opremu.

Uređeno je to novom Odlukom o obveznoj zimskoj opremi. U zimske dionice javnih cesta ulazi 839,2 km autocesta i 1.863,3 km državnih i županijskih cesta te 68,1 km državnih cesta za tranzitni promet iz trajektnih luka Vukovar, Osijek, odnosno luke i rafinerije Sisak.

Vozači su u zimskim uvjetima prije uključivanja u promet dužni očistiti snijeg i led s vozila. Ako vas u prometu 'uhvate' bez zimske opreme kaznit će vas sa 132,72 eura.
