NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Hunter Industrial Fans, the industrial division of Hunter Fan Company, has launched a new website designed to enhance the online consumer experience. Hunter’s revamped website includes new features designed to make all product information readily available to both consumers and distributors.  

Hunter Industrial, a division of the Hunter Fan Company, has donated and installed two HVLS fans to DCI Logistics.

In collaboration with Tropic Supply, Cooper&Hunter has gifted Daytona State College with six complete HVAC systems, considering the donation as a useful investment in the next generation. The on-campus working stations, which include units from Cooper&Hunter’s modern “Sophia Mini-Split Single Zone Series,” will give students hands-on learning opportunities with technology that is becoming increasingly popular in the U.S.

In this episode we talk to Galen Hunt about the Singularity research OS. Galen is the head of Microsoft's OS Research Group and, together with a team of about 30 other researches, has built Singularity. We started our discussion by covering the basics of Singularity: why it was designed, what the goals of the project are as well as some of the architectural foundations of Singularity: software isolated processes, contract-based channels and manifest-based programs. In this context we also looked at the role of the Spec# and Sing# programming languages and the role of static analysis tools to statically verify important properties of a singularity application. We then looked a little bit more closely at the role of the kernel and how it is different from kernels in traditional OSes. In a second part of the discussion we looked at some of the experiments the group did based on the OS. These include compile-time reflection, using hardware protection domains, heterogenerous multiprocessing as well as the typed assembly language We closed the conversation with a look at some of the performance characteristics of Singularity, compatibility with traditional operating systems and a brief look at how the findings from Singularity influence product development at Microsoft.

If you've ever read the blog of Deerhunter, you probably realize that wild mood swings and prolificness are just par for the course. Brandon Cox has written epic rants and then apologize (or not), laying out feelings and thoughts in words that sometimes just seem like a grab for attention. With new Delaware hunting licenses going on sale this week, DNREC announced the 2024/25 Delaware Hunting and Trapping Guide is now available in hard copy from license agents throughout the state, at DNREC's recreational licensing office in the Richardson & Robbins Building at 89 Kings Highway in Dover and in a readily referenced online edition.

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control announced today that special hunting permits for Delaware State Parks can now be conveniently purchased wherever hunting licenses are sold in the state. The special permits are available online at Digital DNREC, at DNREC’s main campus in the Richardson and Robbins Building in Dover, and at more than 40 licensing agents statewide. The special permits, which cost $10 for residents and non-residents can now be purchased when buying a Delaware hunting license. These park permits will no longer be available for sale at Delaware State Parks offices.
