Should go without saying it's not an ideal monitor for gaming, but honestly it would be plenty enjoyable for many titles imo (just not competitive shooters etc). The screen was well packed and works perfectly, has a great picture and there were no scratches or dead pixels on my unit. Specs: Size & Resolution: 34-inch, UltraWide, 3440 x 1440 (WQHD) Aspect Ratio: 21:9 Panel Type: IPS Colour Coverage: 99% sRGB Brightness: 300 cd/m² Ports: USB-C (with power delivery up to 90W), HDMI, DisplayPort, USB 3.0, audio out Refresh Rate: 60Hz Features: Built-in KVM switch, Picture-by-Picture, Picture-in-Picture Weight: 8.2kg without stand Pros: good bit newer than popular U3415W from recent deals decent brightness at 300 cd/m² USB-C with solid power delivery at 90W USB hub and KVM switch excellent overall value Cons: 60Hz peasantry useless "fast" overdrive mode (visible overshoot like if mouse trails were enabled, just don't) Before anyone has a sook about the "free shipping over $199" like on that last thread, it's a pretty heavy unit at 8.2kg (not incl. packaging) and the exclusion is clearly stated on BPC's shipping policy page. mo Extended D23 Brazil Trailer for MCU's 'Thunderbolts*' Big 2025 Movie By www.firstshowing.net Published On :: Sat, 09 Nov 2024 21:57:49 +0000 "So what? Do we all just punch and shoot?" Lock & load. Marvel has debuted a new almost 4-minute long promo trailer from D23 Brazil for their next big MCU movie Thunderbolts*. This will kick off the summer 2025 movie season opening on May 2nd, 2025 next year. A ragtag group of antiheroes is sent on covert missions for the American government. This still just looks like Marvel's MCU version of The Suicide Squad, bringing together a group of offbeat superheroes / supervillains to join up as the "Thunderbolts" and do the fed's dirty work. The fun ensemble cast includes David Harbour as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr / Ghost, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Sebastian Stan as Bucky, Lewis Pullman as Bob aka "Sentry", Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and Florence Pugh as Black Widow Yelena Belova, plus Geraldine Viswanathan as Mel, and finally Julia Louis-Dreyfus as the handler Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. This is a much better trailer than the first teaser, spending time introducing every single one of these misfits. Bob still looks like the most interesting. And Red Guardian looks like the funniest one. Enjoy. Here's the D23 Brazil promo trailer for Jake Schreier's movie […] Full Article Hype Marvel To Watch Trailer
mo New 'Behind the Veil' Promo Video for 'Dune: Prophecy' Sci-Fi Series By www.firstshowing.net Published On :: Mon, 11 Nov 2024 14:00:15 +0000 "Everything to love, and nothing to hate." This is also exactly what I'm hoping for with this show. HBO has unveiled a promo featurette for the new sci-fi series Dune: Prophecy, which will begin streaming on Max later this week. Looks like it'll be worth the wait. Set 10,000 years before the birth of Paul Atreides, before the universe knew them as the Bene Gesserit... This is directly connected to Denis Villeneuve's two (so far) brilliant Dune movies but takes place in the distant past. Based on the book "Sisterhood of Dune" by Kevin J. Anderson and Brian Herbert (Frank's son). This exciting behind-the-scenes look at the epic interplanetary series includes tons of making of shots + interview bits edited into clips of footage from the big sci-fi series. Dune: Prophecy stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Mark Strong, Jade Anouka, Chris Mason, Jodhi May, Josh Heuston, Tabu, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Aoife Hinds, & Shalom Brune-Franklin. We've seen a handful of stellar trailers for this series already, with this promo being a final reminder to add this to your watchlist in time for its imminent debut. I'm impressed by the scope and scale of this HBO show - it's connected […] Full Article Featurette Hype Sci-Fi To Watch Trailer
mo Official Trailer for 'Detective Dotson: The Movie' Video Game Comedy By www.firstshowing.net Published On :: Mon, 11 Nov 2024 16:11:05 +0000 "Ready? This is it." "Kaboom!" Time for something a bit different. This is a video game movie but it's not like most other video game movies. Though at first glance it does remind me of that upcoming Minecraft Movie coming in 2025. Masala Games has revealed a fun teaser trailer for Detective Dotson: The Movie, an animated movie that's a companion piece to the game made in Unreal Engine 5. Dotson is an aspiring Bollywood star turned reluctant detective. Dotson and his friends will seek to unravel a plot that threatens the entire nation of India. The game is currently available to play on Steam and it's likely the movie will also be released on Steam as well (or just online via YouTube - stay tuned for final release details). Masala's CEO Shalin Shodhan explains: "The events in the movie happen right before the start of the game. So... kind of the perfect origin story of Dotson." There's only a few glimpses of footage in this and while it is a movie, it still looks like a glorified, extended video game cut scene turned into a "movie" to watch. Have a look below. We may not get another one... Let's finish it." Ready? Marvel has dropped the new official trailer for the latest season of What If...?, their fun anthology series taking crazy all-out "what if" imaginative looks at different characters and ideas in the MCU. This might be the final season because Marvel's own intro from YouTube states: "Witness the season that ends it all." The Watcher even comes out and says this, too. The first season launched in 2021 to mixed reviews, and this second season debuted in late 2023 one year ago. The opening once again is: Welcome back to the multiverse. So much to see in these 8 episodes! The voice cast set for Season 3 includes Jeffrey Wright as The Watcher, once again, along with Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Laurence Fishburne as Goliath, Oscar Isaac as Moon Knight, Simu Liu as Xu Shang-Chi, Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Cap, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter. Full Article AD MIS COMENTARIOS AU MORRIS WEST ED JAVIER VERGARA GE NOVELA PE TRILOGÍA VATICANA
mo SPY VIBE RADIO: RICHARD DIAMOND By spyvibe.blogspot.com Published On :: Sun, 21 Apr 2024 17:24:00 +0000 My new episode of Cocktail Nation radio is up! Apologies for the late announcement. Earlier this month my segment featured an intro to the 1950s detective series, Richard Diamond, Private Detective, which starred David Jansen (and Mary Tyler Moore as his leggy answering service operator). The character was created by Blake Edwards (Peter Gunn, Mr. Lucky, Pink Panther) and first saw life as a radio series for Dick Powell. The television adaptation began in 1957, and like the cultural shift happening at the time, the style of the show moved from the noir influence toward the more swanky, Hefner-inspired glamour of the later decade. Fans will remember that Peter Gunn would help move the needle even further toward the more trim Ivy League look that set the stage for Sixties crimefighters, and this series was another important link in the chain. Music for the Richard Diamond during its style-shift for seasons 3-4 was by stalwart composer and musician Pete Rugolo (I spoke too quickly in my radio segment; should be pronounced Ru-golo). Pete's other credits included The Fugitive, Thriller, The Thin Man, and numerous projects with Nat King Cole, June Christy, Stan Kenton, and the Four Freshmen. mo MOONRAKER OVERVIEW By spyvibe.blogspot.com Published On :: Sun, 06 Oct 2024 19:13:00 +0000 New Video: The Damn Fool Idealistic Crusader channel on Youtube has posted a wonderful overview of the James Bond story, Moonraker, covering everything from Fleming's original story and the comic and film adaptations to the many published editions and graphic designs we've seen over the years. It's super in-depth and fun! Watch here on Youtube. Moonraker is one of the Fleming novels I go back to most and I even own a few original comic strips by John McLusky from the famous car chase scene in the story. And despite its silly humor, I even find myself rewatching the Roger Moore film every few years (I think I was the perfect age for it when it came out!). Another version I've enjoyed a lot is the audiobook edition by actor Bill Nighy, which was released in a great box set of Fleming audiobooks read by prominent actors. The set was out of print for a long time, but it looks like you can get individual CDs or audio files on Amazon (Moonraker here). Below: Richie Fahey's pulp-styled cover design from 2002.
