There Is Only One You with Clemency Burton-Hill

There are 7106 languages on earth and yet there are a few universal languages that transcends the language barrier. In this episode we explore one of the first universal languages of human history: music. My guest today is Clemency Burton-Hill. From underground DJ to the Creative Director at New York Public Radio, she is an author, a musician, and host of multiple podcasts including The Open Ears Project, Classical Fix, and Moments that Made Me. Her latest book, Year of Wonder helps readers explore and experience a new classical musical piece every day. In this episode: Classical music has a bad rap for being stuffy, boring, and largely inaccessible. Clemency expands on what’s available, and how it’s really the soundtrack of our lives. The universality of music and how we use music to explore, express, and share. Of course, Clemency drops so many names of musical artists to explore who are crushing it today. Enjoy! CSS Only, Content Overflow Shadows

See the Code - See it Full Page - See Details

Horizontal and Vertical scrolling with faded out content. **Please note:** I have not cross browser tested this, however this method leverages `background-attachment: local`, currently usable in everything except Android Browser & Opera Mini according to <a href="https://caniuse.com/#feat=background-attachment" target="_blank">caniuse.com</a>, meaning there is great support across devices and many Android devices use Google Chrome for Android rather than the OS browser. **Additional note:** There is a bug when previewing this pen on mobile, due to loading the example within an `iframe`. The shadow rgba values are read as a non transparent, this does not happen when previewing locally not in an iframe :-)

This Pen uses: HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, and

The Art of Attention Episode #5: Cheryl Leutjen Loves Our Only Earth Right Now

Cheryl Leutjen cares deeply about the future of our planet. But like the rest of us, she often feels overwhelmed by the scope of our environmental challenges and a sense of powerless in the face of so much uncertainty. In her book, Love Earth Now: The Power of Doing One Thing Every Day , she uses humor and candor to inspire others to steer toward personal engagement and sustainable hope. In this conversation, Cheryl shares some of the ways she’s found to approach the challenges of "eco-madness" more mindfully — not to prescribe how others should respond, but to invite each of us to find immediately doable ways to contribute to the sustainable wellbeing of the earth for future generations. State Of The Artist: 'The Whole World Is Suddenly Tasting Loneliness'

Ean Miles Kessler is a Chicago playwright. He's originally from Hamden, Connecticut, but has also lived and worked in New York City and Miami. In 2018, he "made the leap" and moved to the Edgewater neighborhood in Chicago. "It's a great neighborhood in a great city," he said. Usually for State Of The Artist, I follow artists to the places that inspire them. I interview and photograph them in the locations that are meaningful to them. Because of the quarantine, instead of interviewing Ean in Edgewater or the theaters where he works in Chicago, I had to interview him over the phone. Not only that, in order to get the best possible audio, I had to ask him to sit for 40 minutes under a hot blanket to absorb echoes and other ambient room sounds on a day the temperatures soared into the 70s. Several minutes into the interview, Ean said, "Can I just hop out from under this blanket for a second?" He laughed and said, "Because I'm going to have a small heatstroke." It was such a funny moment,

You will be working on our core Zombies, Run! product, along with our fast-growing "New Adventures" segment that is expanding into new storytelling genres. You ideally have multiple years of experience in the media industry, whether that's as an Editorial Assistant in publishing, or in production in the film/TV/audio/games sectors.

Our flagship app, Zombies, Run!, has been downloaded over five million times and has over 200,000 active users.
