同調査はカナダに拠点を置く出版社を対象とした包括的な調査であり、隔年で実施され、2023年で8回目となります。

主な調査結果として、以下が挙げられています。

・ ほとんどの出版社は、2022年から2023年にかけて収益が僅かに増加した。
・ AIの活用が最も検討されている分野は、マーケティングであった。
・ 調査対象となった出版社のほぼ半数(44%)が、2022年から2023年にかけて電子書籍の収益が増加すると予想した。
・ 2023年にはカナダの出版社の半数以上(58%)がオーディオブックを制作し、2021年の53%から僅かに増加した。
