Paris Games Week 2020 Cancelled Due to Coronavirus Pandemic

Paris Games Week 2020 organizer SELL announced it has cancelled this years event due to concerns over the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The event was set to run from October 23 to 27.

Read the message from SELL below:

Dear players,

It is with great emotion that we have made the difficult decision to cancel Paris Games Week, initially scheduled from 23rd to 27th October and which would have marked our 10th anniversary.

The current context and the necessary anticipation of both the technical and logistical complexities of an event such as Paris Games Week have led us to cancel this edition.

This year should have been special, with a line-up full of new releases, and an anniversary edition which we were thrilled to celebrate with you.

We are going to work with all the industry players to enable us all to live our passion. We are already preparing next year’s edition and are looking forward to seeing you again.

Our Very Best Regards,

The Paris Games Week Team

Teenager Ran Away to Be With Boy She Met on Dating Site. A Week Later She Was Dead.

Moorcraft Police Department/Meade County Sheriff’s Office

A South Dakota teenager has admitted to slaying a 16-year-old girl who “ran away” from home to live with him after they met on an online dating website, authorities said.

Michael Campbell, 17, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter on Thursday for the death of Shayna Ritthaler, a 16-year-old from Moorcroft, Wyoming, who was reported missing from a local coffee shop on Oct. 3. Less than a week later, her body was found in the basement bedroom of Campbell’s home.

“We got into an argument and then I shot her,” Campbell said during a change-of-plea hearing on Thursday, before referring to the teenager as his girlfriend, according to the Associated Press. “I shot her in the head.”

Peekaboo!: Home Air Vent Dragons With Light-Up Eyes

These are the vent dragons made and sold by artist David Lee Pancake. The dragons are available in a variety of dragony colors, cost $200 apiece, and are made to be hung on the wall, NOT cover an actual air vent. "But--" Hey, if you want to be hot all summer because the A/C isn't blowing in the living room, that's up to you.

Vent Dragons comes with a little remote control to light up the eyes of the two little monsters and surprise your guests and friends. The lights are powered by 3 AA batteries and should burn for 150 hours before you need to replace them. To replace the batteries unscrew the grate and lift off, the batteries are in a small pack inside. The lighted eyes have 8 different settings from fast blinking to continually glowing and there is a timer to turn them off in 6 hours. Enjoy! Size: 12x7 inches. Do NOT install in an actual heating/AC vent.
Gosh, just think how much you could save on home heating and cooling costs if you had ACTUAL fire and ice breathing dragons living in your air vents. I mean granted they'd have to be trained, but I have seen all those movies. Keep going for a few more shots of some of the different colors.

Morning Routines – the making of long-distance runner Scott Jurek – video

What ingredients are required to make an ultramarathon runner? In Boulder, Colorado, Scott Jurek has concocted quite the recipe that has kept him going the distance for the past two decades. He runs anywhere between 50 miles to over 150 miles, and in his lifetime has won over 20 ultramarathons, smashing records along the way. His passion for running kickstarted his morning regimen in 1997, when he cut out meat completely. In 1999, he transitioned to a plant-based diet, which has since fueled his long-distance running career. On an average day, Scott runs about 10 miles, and this is typically before the sun rises over the beautiful Boulder Flatirons.

What we do when we wake up in the morning sets the tone for our days and ultimately shapes our lives. In this new series, we take a look at how the hyper-successful among us have leveraged rituals to create the trajectories they want.
