How to install and run the New Outlook and Classic Outlook side by side

Now that the New Outlook is available in the various Office Channels and also is replacing Windows Mail and Calendar soon, I really want to try it out but don’t want to use it as my daily driver just yet.

Is there any way that I can install and run the New Outlook and the current Outlook at the same time?

Saving emails as eml or msg-file in the New Outlook or OWA

I regularly save individual emails as msg-file from Outlook into a folder on my computer to more conveniently group it with other related documents.

Now that I’ve switched to the New Outlook, I seem not be able to do that anymore. There is no File command anymore either. This is where the option used to be in Classic Outlook.

Can I no longer save individual emails as msg-files anymore in the New Outlook?

Emails to Microsoft 365 Groups in Outlook syncs only 1 year

We’re using Microsoft 365 Groups instead of Distribution Lists so that a history of these emails are kept in Groups in Outlook as well.

However, I noticed that Groups in Outlook only shows only up to 1 year of emails. When I look at the Microsoft 365 Group in Outlook on the Web, all the emails are shown.

I’ve set Outlook to sync all my emails but it still only shows up to 1 year for Groups. Performing a search doesn’t return any items which are available online either.

How can I make Outlook to sync all emails from the Microsoft 365 Groups?

Find and open the installation folder of New Outlook (olk.exe)

I just installed New Outlook on my computer and wondered where exactly it got installed.

How can I determine where New Outlook is installed and open the installation folder?

Need Password but no login screen shown in Outlook

One of my accounts in Outlook went from “Trying to connect” to “Need Password” in the Status Bar.

However, pressing on the “Need Password” icon doesn’t bring up the dialog to enter my username and password. The dialog isn’t hidden behind Outlook either, although sometimes it looks like it opens and closes really fast again.

No dialog comes up either when clicking on the "Type Exchange Password & Connect" button nor when the Notification comes up that Outlook needs your password.

How do I get myself in a Connected state again?

View HTML source code of an email in New Outlook

In Classic Outlook, you were able to view the HTML source of an email. As a designer of templates and newsletters, this is particularly helpful to see how the HTML of an email got through when things don’t line up as expected.

Within New Outlook, I don’t see this feature anymore.

Is the “View Source” command coming to New Outlook as well or will it be removed?

Is there another way to see the HTML tags of an email in New Outlook?

Stop Doom-Scrolling and Look at These Photos from Seattle’s Largest Cat Convention

Mute Steve Kornacki, unclench your jaw, and scroll through these sweet scenes from Sea-Meow. by Megan Seling

Photos by Madison Kirkman

Sea-Meow, which bills itself as Washington’s largest cat convention, invaded Seattle Center’s Exhibition Hall over the weekend and brought with it appearances from the Two Crazy Cat Ladies, Moshow the Cat Rapper, and Christopher Watson aka the Catluminati, as well as a cat costume contest, a cat-calling contest, cat bingo, and dozens of vendors slinging everything from cat beds to catnip to cat coffee. (That is, cat-themed coffee that benefits cat rescues and not, like, coffee for cats.)

But most importantly, there were cats. So many cats. Old cats, young cats, kitten cats. Cats available for adoption, cats available for snuggles, and cats being pushed, carried, and cradled in backpacks and strollers and those bags with little clear bubble cutouts that make them look like grumpy-faced astronauts.

Election results won’t be in for several hours, and even then, it may take days to know who won. So close Twitter (what are you still doing on that hell site anyway???), mute Steve Kornacki, unclench your jaw, and scroll through these sweet scenes from Sea-Meow.

Looking for a kinetic coin bank

My husband has a birthday coming up. I know he would like something like this coin bank, but it's sold out and I'm having trouble finding an adequate, grown-up substitute. As a kid my husband really liked marble roller coasters and other kinetic toys, but never got them because they were too expensive. He expressed that he really liked the coin bank in the link above. There are some toy options, like this one, that aren't quite right, mostly because they are cheaply made and our 5-year-old daughter will claim anything sufficiently toy-like for herself.

I'm considering making something myself, so links to DIYs would also be helpful. Thank you for your help!

What's tiny, brown, lives underwater, and looks like a mushroom?

I went scuba diving at Clear Lake, Oregon today. I saw a ton of tiny, medium-brown unidentified biological-looking... *things* attached to some of the rocks. What were they? Their silhouette was roughly the shape of a fungus growing on a tree -- think a minaturized oyster mushroom or turkey tail mushroom, but with (as far as I could tell) not particularly pronounced gills. They were attached to volcanic rock.

What were they? Eggs sacs of some kind? Actual underwater mushrooms? Some other life form? In case it's relevant, other stuff I saw in the lake included verdant fields of algae growing off the silty bottom (where the volcanic rock isn't exposed), schools of trout (the lake is stocked), plenty of caddisfly larvae in their cases, and cold-water springs feeding the lake from deep potholes. Water temperature was 41 F. We went as deep as 85', but I only remember seeing the brown unidentified objects in shallower areas -- say maybe between 15' to 30'.

A Look At Pandemic's Impact On Recovery For Alcoholism And Drug Addiction

AILSA CHANG, HOST: Two female firsts in the Supreme Court are retiring. We're talking about the marshal of the court and the reporter of decisions. In 2001, Marshal Pamela Talkin became the first woman to oversee security. Christine Luchok Fallon has been at the court for 31 years, the last nine as the reporter of decisions. NPR legal affairs correspondent Nina Totenberg reports. NINA TOTENBERG, BYLINE: Pam Talkin had been at the Supreme Court in the top security job for less than two months when 9/11 hit. Her first task that morning was to evacuate the building. But Chief Justice Rehnquist was in a conference room conducting his annual meeting with the chief judges from around the country. Talkin sent in a note to no avail. Finally, she walked into the room to get everyone out of there. A month later, the anthrax attack cross-contaminated all the mail in the Capitol complex. And this time, the court had to do something it had never done since the Supreme Court building opened in 1935.

What To Look For In President Trump's Tax Returns — If We Ever See Them

President Trump has won at least a temporary reprieve from a judge's order to release his tax records as part of a criminal investigation into his business dealings. Those records could be released to investigators as litigation continues. Tax experts say the documents could reveal a lot — or not much at all — about Trump's financial history. "Numbers tell stories," said Kelly Richmond Pope, who teaches forensic accounting at DePaul University. "So following those numbers can help piece together a story." The returns could prompt further investigation by prosecutors in New York, who are digging into Trump's business dealings around hush money that his organization allegedly paid to two women who say they had extramarital affairs with him. And whatever the returns contain, they're a matter of public interest, given that Trump has bucked precedent by not releasing them. Here are a few things that tax experts say they'll be watching for as litigation over Trump's tax records continues:

Look at Us Now

God has permitted a flood of light to be poured upon the world in discoveries in science. But even the greatest minds, if not guided by the Word of God, become bewildered in their attempts to investigate the relations of science and revelation, (HF, 322). Knowledge has increased exponentially more in the last 100 years than in all of the history of man combined ! Could this be a sign ? Look at where we are and what we are doing... In all regards, may we let our Father and Lord lead the way as this world's time expires. Tune in and study with us about Armageddon and its timeline. We'll also discuss the Second Coming, the first and second deaths described in the Bible, and very importantly, why the Sabbath is still to be observed today. 1.- Are the Armageddons referenced in Revelation chapters 16 and 20 the same event or different ? 2.- How can we know that Sabbath is Saturday ? 3.- Is Enoch really still alive ? 4.- Is using the name "Jesus" wrong since His name in Hebrew was different ? 5.- Why do I go to church on Sunday if Sunday is Resurrection Day ? 6.- How will every eye see Jesus' return if I'm blind ? 7.- Will you please explain why God permitted Jacob to build pillars when Scripture states that it is forbidden ? 8.- Were Adam and Eve created before Sabbath ? and when exactly was their wedding ? 9.- What does Deuteronomy 14 verse 26 mean ? 10.- Are the seven trumpets past, current or future events ? 11.- What would it mean if the River Euphrates dried up before the seven last plagues begin ? 12.- Will you please explain the “sin unto death” mentioned in 1 John 5 verse 16 ? 13.- Would dairy and eggs be considered vegetarian ? 14.- Can we actually rebuke demons through reading Scripture and prayer ? 15.- Why don't Seventh-day Adventists believe in speaking in tongues and dancing ? 16.- In regards to the second death, the Bible says God will send down fire. Is the fire literal, and are angels susceptible to it ? 17.- Is it okay to lend to people your tithe, if you do not have any cash to lend them ? 18.- Is it alright to read the Book of Enoch ? 19.- What does the Bible mean when it says, "and as many as have been appointed to eternal life believed"? Does that mean that God chooses who is saved and who is lost ?

A Look At Betsy DeVos' Role During The Coronavirus Pandemic

He's even threatened to cut funding for schools that don't reopen. And supporting this push is Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos. Here she is speaking last week at a meeting of the Coronavirus Task Force. (SOUNDBITE OF ARCHIVED RECORDING) BETSY DEVOS: Ultimately, it's not a matter of if schools should reopen. It's simply a matter of how. They must fully open, and they must be fully operational. Long Range Outlook

Hey Folks,

I thought I would make use of the Flip Camera again today to give you a taste of what's coming up over the next 7-10 days.

POINTS
-Weak system passing through today and tomorrow will drop some flurries in Labrador... and a solid shower/flurry mix in Newfoundland on Thursday.
-Things will clear a little bit on Friday... but I think the Cloud cover will likely dominate this weekend across most of Province.
-Early to mid next week a system will be moving in from the South.
-It appears Western Labrador could see some Snowfall from this with perhaps a mix through Eastern Labrador.
-Newfoundland looks destined to see Rain from this one.

ANOTHER AWESOME SHOT
I'll leave you with another snap from Nasa's Modis Satellite.

-This was taken yesterday. You can clearly see the Cold front moving Southeastward across the Labrador Sea and just licking Northern Newfoundland.
-A great shot of Coastal Labrador. You can clearly see the ice breaking up in Groswater Bay and the ice breaking away from the Southeast Coast.
-As I mentioned in the pictures on Monday, the Snow melt along the Humber River and even in through Stephenville can also be seen.
-SUPER HIGH RES. VERSION: If you want to see a really zoomed in shot... click here.
