I'm a 40F who upon hearing the election results this week, felt a surge a gratitude about being a spinster. I figure there has to be articles, books, or some type of literature made by fellow spinsters throughout history about their experiences.

I'm a 40F who upon hearing the election results this week, felt a surge a gratitude about having no kids or a male partner. I of course have been on this path for years, mostly due to my total disinterest in dating and or sex. (I didn't realize I was a OG member of the 4B Movement.)
The choice to forego the things that many women consider their purpose in life does make you feel like the weird one.
I figure there has to be articles, books, or some type of literature made by fellow spinsters throughout history about their experiences. It find it a 95 percent positive experience, but I'd also be curious if these ladies have also written about the drawbacks (money troubles, not being anyone's person) as well.
I'd be curious how the stigma played out then as it does now, I figure it was worse then due to not being able to get good jobs, but I know in some places, these women served as elderly caretakers. I look forward to learning more.

In Atlanta today, President Trump will announce big changes to the regulations that govern one of the nation's most significant environmental laws. The aim is to speed up approval for major projects like pipelines and highways, but critics say it could sideline the concerns of poor and minority communities impacted by those projects, and discount their impact on climate change. The 50-year-old National Environmental Policy Act, or NEPA, was signed into law by President Richard Nixon. It requires federal agencies to consider the environmental effects of proposed projects before they are approved. It also gives the public and interest groups the ability to comment on those evaluations. The administration's new regulations are expected to reduce the types and number of projects that will be subject to review under the NEPA. Kabelaar Ziggo verhoogt per oktober opnieuw de snelheid van al haar abonnementen. Opvallend is dat het Basic instapabonnement een snelheid krijgt van 100 Mb, een snelheid die voor veel huishoudens al ruim voldoende is. Ook de Internet Start en Start XXL abonnementen worden in snelheid verdubbeld.

In navolging van Ziggo maakt ook provider Online nu de tarieven bekend per 1 juli 2024. Prijsvergelijker Breedbandwinkel meldt dat alle abonnementen simpelweg 4,50 euro per maand duurder worden. Dit geldt voor zowel de DSL abonnementen als de Online glasvezelabonnementen over het netwerk van KPN en DELTA Fiber.

In navolging van onder andere Ziggo en Online maakt vandaag ook KPN de prijsverhogingen bekend die per 1 juli 2024 gaan gelden. Prijsvergelijker Breedbandwinkel meldt dat de prijsverhoging neerkomt op maximaal 2,00 euro per maand voor internet, afhankelijk van het abonnement. Er wordt gerekend met een inflatiecorrectie van 3,8%.

Ziggo past per 1 juli 2024 een inflatiecorrectie toe op de tarieven voor internet, tv en vast bellen. Internet en tv vergelijker Breedbandwinkel meldt dat internet 1,00 euro duurder wordt per maand. Voor tv en vast bellen geldt elk een prijsverhoging van 0,50 euro per maand. De prijsverhoging geldt voor alle ruim 3 miljoen Ziggo klanten.
