Inexpensive fourth world primitive water cleanser with key parts transportable in suitcase size packaging

This is a scalable water cleansing system intended for very low technology primitive communities buildable for between $600 and $1,000 of parts. A gravity feed system is contemplated with one or more of an initial filtering stage(s), a settling stage, a UV treatment stage, and an ozonator stage. A stand-alone power system with solar power needing no infrastructure is contemplated to enhance purification. The system can improve the worst of water quality, including for small groups; and under some conditions to end up with clean water of a quality found in developed countries with mature water systems. For water to the site in communities with low precipitation, the water brought in would be emptied into the initial stage of the water cleansing system, and the person who brought the water would draw from the last stage most or all of the amount of water carried in.

Turkey fryer with complete splatter protection

A fryer for deep frying a turkey has an outer cooking pot for containing hot oil. A splatter sleeve is telescopically slidable into the pot, the sleeve having a surrounding side wall, an open top surrounded by a top sleeve rim and an open bottom surrounded by a bottom sleeve rim. A lid is sealingly seatable upon the top sleeve rim and has a lid hole. A lid latch latches the lid to the top sleeve rim. A turkey support has a turkey support base, extends upwardly from the base to a handle top end and is insertable through the hole in the lid. When these components and a turkey are assembled, suspended from the handle and lowered into hot cooking oil, the sleeve is sufficiently long that it enters the oil before the turkey thereby assuring a complete splatter barrier.

Storage and drying device for helmets and accessories (visor, gloves, shoulder pads, neck brace, knee pads, keys, etc.)

The invention provides a new method for the safe storage and drying of a helmet and related accessories (spare helmet face shield, sunglasses, goggles, primary gloves, secondary gloves, chin curtain, breath deflector/guard, helmet screws, neck brace, knee pads, elbow pads, chest protector, keys, and remote control gate/garage openers) employed in activities in which a helmet is utilized. The device is suspended utilizing various length interchangeable hanging straps possessing varied attachment methods to accommodate various hanging locations. The side connected hanging straps attach at an angle to the front opening so that the front opening is directed at an upward facing angle off of the vertical plane and a center angle adjustment and interlocking strap is utilized to set a preferred angle and interlink multiple devices hung vertically one under another. The angled orientation enables the device to be bumped or swung without concern that the helmet or other items stored therein will fall out. The shape and flexible nature of the device allows the sides to close in toward the helmet under the weight of a resting helmet. The device employs multiple attachment points and pockets to accommodate the related accessories and their related locations are such that they provide for the easy access to storage and removal based on frequency of use and order in which stored and removed.

Method for profiling a flat reversible key, and flat reversible key, based on a flat reversible key profile, which is produced according to the method

A method for profiling broad sides of a flat reversible key. A key blank is clamped to expose the first broad side of the key blank and complementary grooves and ribs are milled using a milling cutter with cutter teeth by advance in the longitudinal direction of the key relative to the longitudinal section profile of the cutter teeth. The key blank is then clamped in a position turned by 180° about the longitudinal center axis of the key so that the second broad side of the blank is exposed, and complementary grooves and ribs are milled into the broad side with milling cutter, by advance in the longitudinal direction of the key. The cutter shaft axes is inclined at an angle of inclination (φ) relative to the longitudinal center plane of the key, at least one cutter tooth rib of the cutter teeth producing an undercut guide wall.

key

Method for profiling a flat key, and flat key produced according to the method

A method for profiling the broad sides of a flat key, a key blank being clamped in a clamping device so that the broad side of the key blank is exposed. Guide grooves and variation grooves which are complementary to the longitudinal sectional profile of the cutter teeth are milled into the broad side by advance in the longitudinal direction of the key, in one work operation, using a milling cutter that has cutter teeth on its peripheral surface and rotates about a cutter shaft. Type With Ease and Speed With the Tap Strap 2, a Single Handed All-in-One Wearable Keyboard, Mouse and Air Gesture Controller

In this podcast, The Evil Chocolate Cookie gives us a demonstration of the Tap Strap 2, a single handed all-in-one wearable keyboard, mouse & air gesture controller.

Tap is a wearable keyboard and mouse that enables you to type, mouse and control any Bluetooth enabled device, using any surface and in any position. Tap has accelerometers built into each finger ring, which register which fingers you are tapping and sending the associated letter, number, symbol, or macro to a paired Bluetooth device.

Tap is the only ergonomic solution that allows you to type in any position that is comfortable to your specific body without being bound to a desk. Tap’s design takes stress off your median nerve, allowing for hours of typing without strain. Tap also allows you to write without hunching forward, which causes posture problems as well as neck, shoulder and back pain.

Learning to Tap takes about 2 Hours – which is approximately 10 times faster than it takes to learn to QWERTY touch-typing. You learn to Tap using finger combinations, not key locations, making it usable in a variety of situations where you could not use a QWERTY. The fastest way to learn is by playing our free TapGenius Learning Game, which takes you through the Tap Alphabet using a series of fast, engaging challenges.

84: 88-Keys

This week, we have an epic sit-down with producer 88-Keys. 88 got his start as a teenager, choosing samples for groups like A Tribe Called Quest while working for a record dealer.
