Episode 555 - Group F Champions

On this week's show I'm joined by the Man from East Lower and Andrew Allen to chat about the 2-2 draw with Standard Liege, the team selection, and progress to the knock-out stage of the Europa League. Are we looking after our young players well enough? How are we going to fare against Man City? And there's some discussion of where Arsenal are right now, and whether or not we need to reassess our place in the food chain at this moment in time. That, some waffle, and some words for a good friend.

Update

Hi, everyone. Just an update here — I’d hoped to resume writing the Futility Closet website in May, but all the libraries are still closed here due to the pandemic, so I’ll have to extend the hiatus. We’re fine here otherwise, and will continue to produce the podcast. I’ll post more updates as events warrant, and the archives are available in the meantime. If you have any questions you can reach me at greg@futilitycloset.com. Take care of yourselves! Greg

Informational Update 1

comic:

Some ppl look at old pictures of themselves and go "oh look, I was so thin!". I feel like "oh, look! I still felt there was ethical employment under capitalism! XD" All told this was a really solid job that I'm really grateful that I had. I learned a lot about industry in this Province, how our energy is made (and wasted), and the scale of impact you can have in industry. Those lessons have never left me. Also, how to write an email that can stand up in court. Thanks, EnergyWise.
