Controlling the crystal structure of precisely spaced polyethylene-like polyphosphoesters
DOI: 10.1039/D0PY00272K, Paper
Understanding polymer crystallization is important for polyethylene-like materials. A small fraction of monomers with functional groups within the polyethylene chain can act as crystallization “defects”. Such defects can be used...

Law enforcement on social media: Instant info or controlling the message?
Sure, we all get information from Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
But a growing trend of law enforcement using social media to communicate with the public has led to growing concerns that they are not responding to questions from journalists or not being fully transparent with the public.

Chemically synthesized circular RNAs with phosphoramidate linkages enable rolling circle translation
DOI: 10.1039/D0CC02140G, Communication
Circular RNA without a stop codon enables rolling circle translation. we carried out one-pot chemical synthesis of circular RNA from RNA fragments. The synthesized circular RNAs acted as translation templates, despite the presence of unnatural phosphoramidate linkages.

Controlling the liberation rate of the in situ release of a chemical fuel for the operationally autonomous motions of molecular machines
DOI: 10.1039/D0OB00669F, Paper
Aminolysis of the anhydride of 2-cyano-2-phenylpropanoic acid can be employed to conveniently regulate the liberation rate of the related acid which, in turn, can be used as a fuel for acid–base operated molecular machines.
