Compositions for application and methods of application of a composition to modify hair. In one embodiment, a composition includes a compound (molecule) represented by: wherein A and B are individually selected from a hydrogen, a hydroxyl group and a halogen, with the proviso that when one of A and B is a hydroxyl group, the other of A and B is a hydrogen and when one of A and B is a halogen, the other of A and B is a halogen or a hydrogen;wherein Z is, for example, an aryl moiety; andwherein X1 and X2 are, for example, individually selected from a hydrogen and an alkyl moiety,wherein R1 and R2 are individually selected from an oxo, a hydroxyl or an ester group;wherein y is 0 or 1, x is 0 or 1 and x and y are not both 1, or a salt.

A hair clip having a rectangular base frame, with a plurality of prongs forming a unitary structure with the base frame, is disclosed. A weft clip frame is fixedly attached to, or forms a unitary structure with, the base frame. The weft clips which are attached thereto form a U-shape with a portion of said U-shape on either side of the rectangular base frame and extend over an uppermost extremity of the rectangular base, while the lower end of the rectangular base has openings of prongs for attaching hair thereto. The weft clips, in embodiments, hold the weft of a hair extension between the weft clip and rectangular base, such as in a portal of the weft clip opening only towards the top of the rectangular base.

Improved hair straightening topical compositions comprising transglutaminase, sodium metabisulfite, and a system for stabilizing the pH of the composition, and for inhibiting the generation of sulfur dioxide. Optionally, one or more additional hair straightening agents, that are capable of affecting secondary, tertiary and quaternary protein structures of human hair may be included. Optionally, polylysine may be included which, in combination with TGase, acts to form a surface barrier film and moisture shield around human hair. The invention includes methods of using such topical compositions.

A hair holder system featuring an outer component having a slot disposed therein and an insertion component that can slideably insert snugly into the slot of the outer component. When the insertion component is within the slot, the slot surface and the outer surface of the insertion component can clamp and hold hair therein between, thereby creating a bun or puff effect for hair inserted therethrough. The bun or puff effect is shaped according to the shape of the insertion component.

A hairpiece or wig is formed of a substrate having at least two layers or sets of fibers. The hairpiece has a wig cap section which forming the core of the hairpiece to be placed on the head of an individual. A hair styling device is described, having a body defining a chamber adapted to accommodate a length of hair, with the length of hair being styled while it is located within the chamber. The chamber has a primary opening through which the length of hair may pass into the chamber. A rotatable element is provided which is adapted to engage the length of hair adjacent to the primary opening. An elongate member is located within the chamber, the length of hair being wound around the elongate member by the rotatable element. The device has a pressing part adapted to press a portion of the length of hair towards the primary opening.

A hair cutting guide and method for aiding in creating/trimming a human hair into a Mohawk type hairstyle. The Mohawk guide consists of two side pieces, two adjustable spacers/connectors, and two clips. The bottom edges of the two side pieces are contoured to follow the shape of the human head from the start of the hairline to the nape of the neck.

A shaver includes a shaving unit having e.g., three shaving elements. Each shaving element accommodates a cutter member for cutting off hairs. Each shaving element further accommodates a gear wheel which is part of a transmission for coupling a drive shaft for driving the cutter member to an output shaft of a motor of the shaver. A top side of a space where the gear wheel is located is covered by a partition, where only the drive shaft extends through this partition. Each shaving element can be individually opened by removing a top portion of the shaving element, including the cutter member, from a base portion of the shaving element where the gear wheel, the drive shaft and the partition are located. An opening system may be provided to open all the shaving elements in one action by reversal of the direction of rotation of the output shaft, for example.

A tooth for a blade of a hair cutting apparatus includes a root secured to a base of the blade, a tip opposite the root, and a longitudinal axis of the tooth defined between the root and the tip. A lower, planar cutting surface is provided on the tooth, as is an upper surface opposite the lower surface, and sidewalls separating the upper surface from the lower surface. The present invention relates to a tool (1) for separating a hair bundle (11) comprising a number of hair strands appropriate for receiving a hair treatment composition (15) for creating a hair bundle effect.
