A hydraulic drive system includes an oil supply device, an oil return device and a hydraulic cylinder circuit component. The circuit component includes a hydraulic cylinder, a first and a second two-position two-way electromagnetic directional valves. A first port of the first valve connects with the first chamber and a first port of the second valve connects with the second chamber. When the oil supply device connects to a second port of the first valve and a second port of the second valve connects to the oil return device, the piston rod is extended outwards. When the oil supply device connects to the second port of the second valve and the second port of the first valve connects to the oil return device, the piston rod is retracted.

An electro-hydraulic actuation system includes a regeneration valve in fluid communication with a first fluid chamber and a second fluid chamber of a hydraulic actuator, and a dump valve is in fluid communication with the second fluid chamber and a fluid reservoir. A pump provides a flow of fluid to the first and second fluid chambers, a displacement of the pump controlling a velocity of the actuator during motion in the retraction and extension directions. An electric motor drives the pump, and a controller controls a state of the regeneration valve and the dump valve. At least one feedback device senses a system condition and provides a respective feedback signal indicative of the sensed system condition to the controller, the controller responsive to the feedback signal to determine an occurrence of an over-center load condition and control a state of the regeneration valve and the dump valve in response to the occurrence to maintain the velocity of the actuator.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TRACKING GLOVE FAILURE

A system and method for identifying areas of a processing plant in which a glove is damaged. The system includes utilizing color-coded sets of gloves in different areas or processing steps within the plant. All the gloves used in a particular plant are provided with a unique identifier. If a piece of a glove is located in the product within the plant, the color of that piece indicates the area or process of the plant in which the glove was used. If a piece of a damaged glove is located in the product at a remote destination, the unique identifier in that piece is matched with a registry to determine the plant in which the glove was used. The color of the piece then helps the plant to identify where the damaged glove was used. The system and method are particularly helpful in the food processing industry, especially meat processing.

Perspective: COVID-19 Exposes Flawed Food Security System

“I never thought I would have to ask for food.” The young mother said as a box was placed in her car. In the last three weeks over 500,000 Illinois residents have filed for unemployment. We have never seen such a sudden, dramatic increase in the need for food in our region. There are now growing lines at area food pantries. Numbers of those seeking help has tripled. For 70% of them this is their first visit to a food pantry. This is occurring when food banks are receiving fewer donations from their sources. The food banks are dependent upon the donations from large food chains. Usually food whose shelf life has nearly expired, or produce that is about to go bad. Because nervous buyers have cleared out so many store shelves there is less leftover to donate. When you live at the bottom of the food chain and depend on leftovers, it is extra frightening when there is little left behind. We need to use this crisis to question our present food system built on dependence. We need to ask how

According to an official statement, the government released a web link - www.qtoken.in - where people will be designated specific time for purchasing liquor after they fill personal details. The e-tokens will be sent on the mobile phones of the registered persons, it said.

The scandal around USA Gymnastics and former Olympic team doctor Larry Nassar is shining a spotlight on the sexual abuse of young athletes. This week, Reveal revisits the story of a woman who decides to confront the coach she says abused her decades earlier.

Reporter Tennessee Watson was abused by her gymnastics coach when she was a kid in the 1980s. Over 25 years later, when she learned he still was coaching children, she called the police. Warning System Down: California’s Deadliest Fires

In all, more than 170 blazes ripped across an area the size of Maryland and Delaware combined.
