When you run the GNU Gatekeeper, you can block spam calls from the well known bots ("MERA RU", "SimpleOPAL" etc.) eg. using a small LUA script in your config.

Fail2ban to the rescue!

With this filter definition in /etc/fail2ban/filter.d/gnugk.conf you can check fro rejected calls:

This is designed to improve the quality of Search by showing less content that feels like it was made to attract clicks, and more content that people find useful. We also shared that we have new spam policies to better handle the practices that can negatively impact Google's search results. In this post, we'll go into more detail for creators about both the update and the spam policies.

E-mail spam is no more garbage but risk since it recently includes virus attachments and spyware agents which make the recipients' system ruined, therefore, there is an emerging need for spam detection. Many spam detection techniques based on machine learning techniques have been proposed. As the amount of spam has been increased tremendously using bulk mailing tools, spam detection techniques should counteract with it. To cope with this, parameters optimization and feature selection have been used to reduce processing overheads while guaranteeing high detection rates. However, previous approaches have not taken into account feature variable importance and optimal number of features. Moreover, to the best of our knowledge, there is no approach which uses both parameters optimization and feature selection together for spam detection. In this paper, we propose a spam detection model enabling both parameters optimization and optimal feature selection; we optimize two parameters of detection models using Random Forests (RF) so as to maximize the detection rates. We provide the variable importance of each feature so that it is easy to eliminate the irrelevant features. Furthermore, we decide an optimal number of selected features using two methods; (i) only one parameters optimization during overall feature selection and (ii) parameters optimization in every feature elimination phase. Finally, we evaluate our spam detection model with cost-sensitive measures to avoid misclassification of legitimate messages, since the cost of classifying a legitimate message as a spam far outweighs the cost of classifying a spam as a legitimate message. We perform experiments on Spambase dataset and show the feasibility of our approaches.

Block Sender is a feature in the Mail app that allows you to prevent emails from specific senders from reaching your inbox. Once you block a sender, their emails will either be automatically deleted or sent to your Trash folder, depending on your settings.

There are many reasons why you might want to block senders such as:

Spam: This is the most common reason. Block those unwanted marketing emails and get your inbox back under control.
Unsubscribe Nightmare: Tried unsubscribing but the emails keep coming? Blocking is a more forceful solution.
Unwanted Contacts: Maybe you have an ex or someone you no longer want to hear from. Blocking cuts off email communication.

How to Block Senders in Mail (iOS):

Find the Mail app and locate an email from the sender you want to block.
Swipe down to the More option and double tap to bring up a menu.
Locate the Block Sender option and double tap it.

Bonus Tip!

You can also manage your blocked senders list in the Settings app:

Go to Settings > Mail.
Double tap on "Blocked".
Here you can see a list of all your blocked senders and even unblock them if you need to.

You don't get as nearly as much as you used to, but there's still a few that kind of slides in and you find those in within your spam folder and et cetera.

Sometimes they don't even make it to the spam folder.

Comes right into your inbox.

I'm going to show you how to block a sender.

Now, obviously there are many different scenarios why you would want a blocks of sender.

Perhaps it is a spam or an unwanted mail or perhaps it is unwanted mail, but from somebody that you know that just persistently send you an email and there's you just want those particular emails go directly to the trash can.
