Today there is much confusion about preaching holiness. In many churches where I preach holiness, people will come and say, "Wow, that was a great sermon. We have not had a holiness sermon preached here for a long time." Then when I talk to the pastor, he or she will say, "I preach holiness every Sunday." One pastor said, "I can't believe it, I preach holiness every Sunday, they just don't recognize it." -- Well, what could be the problem? Could it be that there has been such a reaction against the legalistic [i.e. 7th Kingdom (wordly, self focus) of this world] approach of preaching holiness that we have moved into another one-sided fad? I remember a sermon against cowboy boots because wearing them would make the person proud. There was a time when two trips to the altar was the norm with little focus on a relationship with Christ or a life to be disciplined. There was more of a focus on legalistic rules to follow, most of them in the negative. -- Today we hear life sermons. They emphasize how to live first, but there is not much emphasis on the divine work of grace to empower and enable one to live a holy life. Could it be that the time is right for us to bring the two approaches together? We need the message of living a holy life, but we need to receive the divine experience and be filled with the Holy Spirit who gives us the grace to live out God's plan for holy living. -- We can't live a holy life alone in our own power. Yes, we can discipline ourselves, but it is always with an inner struggle. God put in place a plan for us to to be set free from the bent toward sin. We need the kind of doctrinal preaching that will lead people to receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit so they can have a holy relationship with a holy God. Let's use the Biblical terms like Sanctification [8th Kingdom - The Eternal Kingdom of Jeus Christ] so people will understand them when they read about them in the Word. There has never been a greater need for the church to preach the wonderful message of [8th Kingdom] holiness. Let's proclaim it! ~ Dr. Louie E. FeedForAll Mac Now in Beta
A 'Beta' release of our FeedForAll Mac software product has been released. This means that the product is stable, but does not yet contain all the features planned for the final release. Nor does it contain all the documentation. It's purpose is to get feedback from users about the way the product works (general look and feel), and to get feedback concerning the features that are included (or should be included) in a final release. When the feature-set is finalized and at least preliminary documentation is available, then the product will be released in a second 'Beta' version.

There is minimal documentation so feel free to ask questions! We welcome criticism, and feedback! The aesthetics are still in progress so the look will improve! The power and extendibility of RSS in its simplest form is also its achilles heel. The expansion capabilities of the RSS specification, specifically the "enclosure" field which has launched the podcasting phenomenon, is where the vulnerabilities lie. The enclosure field in itself is not the problem, in fact the majority of RSS feeds do not even use the enclosure tag. The enclosure tag is essentially used to link to file types, things like images, word documents, mp3 files, power point presentations, executables and can be thought of in similar terms to email attachments.

Happy New Year everyone! I've worked hard and really customized Wordpress to look and work exactly as I'd like. It's ready to go as soon as I get the rest of the site up.

One of the next tasks was to replace the mailing software that I was using to send out my Behold News to people who had purchased or downloaded Behold. You might have noticed that you didn't receive a mailing for my last version in November. I didn't send one out because I had problems back in August with my mailings. My software kept shutting down every few hundred people and I'd have to restart it quite a few times. I wasn't sure if everyone had received it, and I'm sure some people received it twice. I didn't want that to happen again, so I didn't send one out in November.

I was thinking of switching to phpList to be my mailing program. But in the last couple of days, I found out the real problem and phpList wouldn't be any better than Spd E-Letter would.

There are three ways of sending Mass Mailings:

1. From a program running on your website. This is what Spd E-Letter and phpList do. What I discovered the trouble here is that webhosts limit the number of mailings you are allowed to make in an hour. This is to prevent spamming. My number of mailings is now getting large enough that it would take quite a number of hours to send them all out at the limits they allow. If I had 10 times the list size, it would take days. So this is no longer a solution for me for the future.
    
2. From a program running on your computer. Unfortunately this has the same problem. The limit instead is imposed by the ISP who you get Internet service from.
    
3. From a company on the web that provides e-mailing services. This appears to be my only option. My research indicates the way to go is to stick to one of the top two: AWeber or GetResponse.

But next it's off to Vanilla and finishing up the rest of my "new" site.

The final EUBrazilOpenBio newsletter for November 2013 is now available. The  newsletter presents the final press release showcasing the main results of 2 year collaborative work, namely: the innovative, web-based working environment designed to serve biodiversity scenarios; the new version of the Catalogue of Life cross-mapping tool developed in the i4Life project; the provision of the Ecological Niche Modelling tool as a service through the openModeller extended web service, and its application in collaboration with BioVeL; the EUBrazilOpenBio Joint Action Plan.

This newsletter highlights:

• EUBrazilOpenBio Joint Action Plan - drawing on policy strategies, analysing  current progress in contributing to international targets and defining actions for future collaborative research. It defines common actions with the aim of contributing to relevant Aichi Targets in the years ahead.
• EGI federatec use case on ecology - Over the last two years, BioVeL and EUBrazilOpenBio have joined forces to make openModeller ready for cloud deployment. Work within the EGI Federated Cloud Task Force has led to considerable success in enabling the openModeller service on the EGI Federated Cloud.
• EUBrazilOpenBio results - EUBrazilOpenBio Technical developments, training materials and sessions, publications and papers, media spotlights and policy results all collected in one page.
• A vision from the Experts - "The Crossmapper itself is a great tool, and an ideal way to identify errors and updates". Dr Christina Flann is one of the experts providing their vision on EUBrazilOpenBio story.

The SUSTAIN EU-ASEAN project aiming at establishing a more sustainable and integrated research and innovation cooperation between the EU and the ASEAN region in the areas of climate action, resource efficiency and raw materials has now published its first project newsletter.

This first issue of the SUSTAIN EU-ASEAN Newsletter contains information about the outcomes from the first project Networking and Cluster Session that took place on 23 January 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand, as well as features a news item about the forthcoming sessions scheduled for 28 Match 2014 in Brussels, Belgium. The SUSTAIN EU-ASEAN coordinating action will focus on climate action, resource efficiency and raw materials issues and will aim to enhance collaboration between researchers in the EU and the ASEAN region. Addressing these issues in a coherent way is vital for sustainable development that leads to economic prosperity, social cohesion and environmental integrity. Both regions have developed innovative ideas to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, to adapt to climate change, improve resource efficiency and manage raw materials.

The third issue of the EU BON newsletter is now out.

This issue contains information about our new associated partners, alongside news from the project, interviews and articles from international and project meetings, as well as announcements for future events of interest.
