Meanwhile, several retailers have reported an increase in sales of their private labels, which filled the gaps as supply lines from other manufacturers were disrupted.

“Bee-washing” hurts bees and misleads consumers

Bee populations are declining because of pesticides and other human-generated activities. Some studies estimate that more than 40 percent of insect species' numbers are falling and that the numbers of insects at large decrease by 2.5 percent per year. While best known for their honey and wax, the practical value of bees as pollinators is enormously greater than the value of these products.

Systematic over-estimation of lattice thermal conductivity in materials with electrically-resistive grain boundaries

Energy Environ. Sci., 2020, 13,1250-1258
DOI: 10.1039/C9EE03921J, Paper
Jimmy Jiahong Kuo, Max Wood, Tyler J. Slade, Mercouri G. Kanatzidis, G. Jeffrey Snyder
The inverse trend between carrier mobility and lattice thermal conductivity is found to be an artifact of grain boundary electrical resistance. A two-phase transport model is required to properly account for the effect.
