पंजाब के संगरूर में घग्गर नदी का कच्चा किनारा टूटने के बाद लगातार नदी का पानी मूनक इलाके के खेतों में घुस गया और करीब 1000 एकड़ से ज्यादा किसानों की धान और सब्जी की फसल बह गई. ये पानी लगातार बढ़ता जा रहा है और अपने साथ खेतों और उस पर लगी फसल को भी बहा कर ले जा रहा है. हालांकि स्थानीय लोग प्रशासन के साथ मिलकर टूटे हुए किनारे पर मिट्टी की बोरियों से एक बांध बनाने की कोशिश में लगे हैं. स्थानीय प्रशासन के साथ एनडीआरएफ की टीम और भारतीय सेना की टीम भी मौजूद है लेकिन अब तक इन लोगों को घग्गर नदी से लगातार तेज बहाव के साथ संगरूर के मूनक कस्बे के खेतों में घुस रहे पानी को रोकने में कामयाबी नहीं मिली है और लगातार ये खतरा मंडरा रहा है कि कहीं ये पानी गांव के रिहायशी इलाके तक ना पहुंच जाए.
