The control level can be fed back to control the gain of the duplicate VGA until the target gain is reached. The control level can also be fed to the actual VGA to control its gain. By performing gain control on the duplicate VGA without interfering with the output signal path of the actual VGA, the actual VGA's gain can be accurately controlled without impacting its bandwidth.
