Wacoal Holdings has reported revenue of ¥90,167 million (~$586.1 million) in H1 2024, down by 5.2 per cent YoY. Gross profit fell 4.9 per cent to ¥51,056 million (~$331.86 million). Domestic revenue dipped 4.8 per cent to ¥45,006 million, while overseas revenue declined 1.4 per cent to ¥34,549 million. The company’s business profit was ¥2,304 million, down 39.6 per cent YoY in its overseas segment.

Gokaldas Exports has reported an 85 per cent YoY revenue increase in Q2 FY25, with total income reaching ₹941.8 crore (~$111.6 million) and PAT at ₹28.2 crore, a 19 per cent rise. The right photo effect can transform an ordinary image into a work of art. Adjustments to lighting, color balance, and texture help you create the perfect mood for your project.

If you own an AirPort base station, you can use the Timed Access feature to control the days and times when users access the Internet. This could come in handy in a variety of situations. For example, if you own a cafe and provide free wi-fi access, you can configure the AirPort to block all access to the Internet when your business is closed. And if you have children, you can set time limits for specific devices in your home.

There are two ways to use the timed access feature. You can create a default allow policy to allow all devices to access the Internet at any time, and then specify custom schedules for specific devices. Or you can create a default deny policy to prevent all devices from accessing the Internet according the schedule you specify, and then exempt specific devices by creating custom schedules.

Here's how to control AirPort network access with time limits:

1. Open the AirPort Utility application. (It's in Applications → Utilities.) The window shown below appears.
   
   
2. Click the AirPort Extreme's icon. The status pop-up window appears.
   
   
3. Click Edit. The settings window appears.
   
   
4. Select the Network tab. The window shown below appears.
   
   
5. Select the Enable Access Control checkbox.
   
   
6. Click Timed Access Control. The window shown below appears.
   
   
7. Select the Unlimited (default) option. By default, this allows all of the devices connected to your AirPort to access the Internet all day, every day, but you can change this to block Internet access for all devices (except the ones you specify later) during the times you set.
   
   
8. If you'd like to limit the days and times that a specific device can access the Internet, click the + button under the Wireless Clients field. The window shown below appears.
   
   
9. Enter a name for the device in the Description field.
   
   
10. Enter the device's MAC address in the MAC Address field. You can use the following tutorials to find the device's MAC address.

    • How to Find Your iPhone's MAC Address
    
    
11. Use the + button under the Wireless Access Times field to create a schedule for this device's Internet access.
    
    
12. Once you've added all of your devices and customized the schedules, click Save.
    
    
13. Click Update. The AirPort will restart to apply the changes.

Congratulations! You have successfully set time limits for the devices connecting to your AirPort network. The schedule you created is effective immediately.

Stuart Smith is currently investigating the use of mobile technologies as part of his work for MIMAS, a national data centre based at the University of Manchester. MIMAS hosts large and varied data sets including repositories of learning materials. Stuart is involved in giving usability advice to colleagues delivering learning materials in both the Higher and Further Education sectors and views mobile technologies as highly significant in the future of learning. Stuart has 10 years experience in Web development and has published papers on Accessibility. As well as working in the academic sector he has experience in information management and public relations for a national charity and has worked in the mobile phone sector. Stuart facilitated a workshop session on "Portable Devices for Learning: A Whistlestop Tour".

Stuart Church is a user experience consultant based in Bristol, UK. He runs his own business, Pure Usability, and has worked on a variety of usability, accessibility and information architecture projects for clients such as JISC, The University of Bristol, Microsoft, BOC, Bayer, Lexus, The University of Cambridge, The Tribal Group, Process Management International, the Office for Fair Access, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Futurelab and Becta. In 2005, he helped to set up and organise the Cambridge Usability Group, before relocating to Bristol. In addition to his consultancy work, Stuart teaches user-centred design on the Diploma in Web Design and Development course at Birkbeck College, University of London. He is also a member of the Usability Professionals Association. In his previous life, Stuart was a lecturer and research fellow in Animal Behaviour, Visual Ecology and Biostatistics at the Universities of Bristol and Southampton. He has a degree in Zoology from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Animal Behaviour from the University of Southampton. Ian Bartlett has worked in the student recruitment field at UCL since 1992. Based in the Department of Educational Liaison, which covers all aspects of UK and international student recruitment from first point-of-contact up to the point of admission, Ian's role is to structure, develop and maintain the student recruitment section of the UCL Web site (see http://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/. By working closely with the student recruitment publications team at UCL (with whom he shares an office), he is able to use the ready-audited text of printed publications in order to ensure that the content of the Prospective Students site is accurate and regularly updated. However, with the growing volume of information now expected and needed by prospective students, he is keen to ensure efficient use of staff resources and is working with Jeremy Speller on a system of parallel publishing tied in with a CMS interface to speed production of printed and Web materials. Ian and his colleague Jeremy Speller gave a plenary talk on "Publish and Be Damned: Re-purposing in the Real World".

Peter Gilbert is a SharePoint evangelist and "developer" working at UWE. He works in SharePoint technologies using C#, InfoPath, Skelta and blog about their good and bad points. In his "spare" time he is an artist and photographer and helps organise the Southbank Bristol Arts Trail as well as running other arts events throughout the year. Peter will be giving a plenary talk entitled "The impact of SharePoint in Higher Education" with James Lappin, part of the Doing the Day Job session.
