By default, a dielectric must separate each pair of conductor layers in the cross-section of a design. In rare cases, this does not represent the real, manufactured substrate.

If your design requires you to have conductor layers that are not separated by a dielectric (such as, for half-etch designs), there is a variable that needs to be set in Allegro X APD. You must set this by enabling the variable icp_allow_adjacent_conductors. This entry, and its location in the User Preferences Editor, are shown in the following image.

The Objects on adjacent conductor layers do not electrically connect together, automatically. A via must be used to establish the inter-layer connections.

When enabling this option, it is recommended to exercise caution because excluding dielectric layers from your cross-section can lead to inaccurate calculations, including the calculations for signal integrity and via heights. It is important that your cross-section accurately reflect the finished product to ensure the most accurate results possible. Any dielectric layers present in the manufactured part need to be in the cross-section for accurate extraction, 3D viewing, and so on.

My Virtuoso and Spectre Version: ICADVM20.1-64b.NYISR30.2
I plot an eye diagram using a built in function. I want to see the data-dependent jitter. I want to measure the eye diagram edges at zero crossing (width of that diamond part) shown in the pic by vertical and horizontal markers. I can put a marker and read the numbers there and get what I want. But now I want to run Monte Carlo and I can't do this for all samples. I wish I could write an expression for this. Unfortunately, I see that the function "cross" is not working on the eye diagram. Basically, when I send the eye diagram data to a table, I see that it actually is just the prbs data and not the eye diagram data. Is there a hack that can help me achieve my goal which is: having an expression to measure the edges of the eye diagram at zero crossing?
There is a script that Andrew wrote (https://support.cadence.com/wps/mypoc/cos?uri=deeplinkmin%3AViewSolution%3BsolutionNumber%3D11395772). This is a good script but it puts all edges on top of each other. I want to distinguish the two edges. In the attached pic (two-period eye diagram) you can see what I mean by the two edges (diamond shapes). I want to measure each of the two and take the maximum. Having all the edges on top of each other won't give me what I want. All edges together will lso include DCD. I purely want to measure DDJ. DCD is measured separately. I have very little experience with writing scripts and could not modify Andrew's script.

I have a sensitive trace on layer 2 and I would like to prevent any routing along or across it on adjacent layers (L1 and L3).

My idea was to use a route keepout shape on L1 and L3, however that also removed the ground pour on those layers and I would like to keep the ground pour.

Can I get around this somehow or should I use something else than route keepout?

This single-center, single-arm, phase II trial (ChiCTR2100050057) investigated the ability of ¹⁸F-labeled fibroblast activation protein inhibitor ([¹⁸F]AlF-NOTA-FAPI-04, denoted as ¹⁸F-FAPI) PET/CT to predict the response to neoadjuvant camrelizumab plus chemotherapy (nCC) in locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (LA-ESCC). Methods: This study included 32 newly diagnosed LA-ESCC participants who underwent ¹⁸F-FAPI PET/CT at baseline, of whom 23 also underwent scanning after 2 cycles of nCC. The participants underwent surgery after 2 cycles of nCC. Recorded PET parameters included maximum, peak, and mean SUVs and tumor-to-background ratios (TBRs), metabolic tumor volume, and total lesion FAP expression. PET parameters were compared between patient groups with good and poor pathologic responses, and the predictive performance for treatment response was analyzed. Results: The good and poor response groups each included 16 participants (16/32, 50.0%). On ¹⁸F-FAPI PET/CT, the posttreatment SUVs were significantly lower in good responders than in poor responders, whereas the changes in SUVs with treatment were significantly higher (all P < 0.05). SUV_max (area under the curve [AUC], 0.87; P = 0.0026), SUV_peak (AUC, 0.89; P = 0.0017), SUV_mean (AUC, 0.88; P = 0.0021), TBR_max (AUC, 0.86; P = 0.0031), and TBR_mean (AUC, 0.88; P = 0.0021) after nCC were significant predictors of pathologic response to nCC, with sensitivities of 63.64%–81.82% and specificities of 83.33%–100%. Changes in SUV_max (AUC, 0.81; P = 0.0116), SUV_peak (AUC, 0.82; P = 0.0097), SUV_mean (AUC, 0.81; P = 0.0116), and TBR_mean (AUC, 0.74; P = 0.0489) also were significant predictors of the pathologic response to nCC, with sensitivities and specificities in similar ranges. Conclusion: ¹⁸F-FAPI PET/CT parameters after treatment and their changes from baseline can predict the pathologic response to nCC in LA-ESCC participants.

Contrary to what you may have heard, the Inflation Reduction Act’s (IRA) inflation rebates for Medicare Part B drugs do not always save money for seniors.

As we document below, a growing share of Part B drugs have inflation-adjusted coinsurance rates that have been increasing, not declining. In many cases, the coinsurance rate declines only briefly before rebounding back to the standard 20% rate. What’s more, these fluctuations have triggered huge jumps in patients’ out-of-pocket obligations for some drugs—even when a drug’s costs were falling.

Chalk off these coinsurance surprises to yet another unintended consequence of the IRA. Seniors who are expecting to see costs drop may find they are instead being taken for a rollercoaster ride.
