OSCE New Media Accreditation Procedure begins on 15 April 2015

Bona fide representatives of the media - print media, photo, radio, television and film, news agencies and online media - can now apply for yearly accreditation to OSCE events in Vienna.

For the yearly Media Accreditation, applicants need to provide the following:

  • Completed accreditation form
  • A letter of assignment on official letterhead of a media organization
  • A valid press card (national or international)
  • Scanned image of passport/national ID card

Journalists, who agree to the terms of accreditation and guidelines on media access to the OSCE, should fill out the Accreditation form and submit it with the attachments by E-mail to: press@osce.org.

Media credentials are issued by the OSCE free of charge. 
 

Delivery of badges will begin on 15 April 2015 and take place Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 16:00 at the Hofburg.

Yearly accreditation at the OSCE is not mandatory.  Journalists holding a valid press ID, but not holding an OSCE Media accreditation badge will be able to attend access media events in the Hofburg Congress Centre by registering in advance, as specified in the media advisories ahead of such events.

The issue was first noticed about a year ago. MySpace have confirmed that all the music is lost and cannot be recovered. "Due to a server migration files have been corrupted and unable to be transferred to our updated site."

This is a post I originally put only on Facebook in January 2015.  Click here for background.

And the first pizza of the January 2015 #PizzaADayDiet comes from Hoboken Pie! A thin crust sausage, mushroom, and green pepper -- all the ingredients were fresh and in abundance. The sausage and sauce were slightly spicy and the crust was really thin. It could have had a tad more body, but I liked the fact that it didn't feel like I was filling up on bread. Delivery was prompt and the pizza was warm out of the box. I will definitely order from them again.

Day 8 of ‪#‎PizzaADayDiet‬ is another thin crust, this one from Southside Flying Pizza. They call it “Neapolitan style,” which I guess is a really thin crust. I chose the whole wheat crust and it was pretty good – it stood up to the ingredients but I wouldn't have minded if it had been a tad crisper. The cheese was thoroughly melted and excellent, though, as were the toppings. The sausage had a good flavor and the peppers were nicely al dente. And the side salad was really good, as well.

Today's ‪#‎PizzaADayDiet‬ occurred at Home Slice Pizza -- Don Tate joined me for the sausage, mushroom, and green pepper pie! This was the thickest thin crust I've had so far, and was sufficient to be not -floppy, yet not doughy, with a good, chewy texture. The cheese was flavorful and the toppings were each present in every bite.


Altogether, a most excellent pizza -- and they put the leftovers in a tinfoil swan (I've never seen that before in real life :-)).

Short breaks in 2015, an uncertain future

Short breaks are among the most fundamental services for supporting families with disabled children. By providing breaks from caring and positive experiences for children and young people, they allow parent carers to focus on relationships with other children, or to have time to themselves or with their partner, leading to lower levels of psychological distress, higher levels of life satisfaction and better health. As a result, fewer parent carers reach ‘breaking point’ and fewer children require access to emergency provision or enter the looked after system. This report, commissioned by Every Disabled Child Matters, looks at the current provision of short breaks to families of disabled children in England.
