China's tech industry has prioritised developing an operating system that is not dependent on US technology, and OpenKylin is one of several under development that could replace Microsoft's Windows and Apple's MacOS. Notably, the system provides reliable fundamental software services and ensures security in critical areas such as government affairs and finance.
