No, Council President Stuckart should not be deleting important voicemails about city business

When City Council President Ben Stuckart told Attorney Laura McAloon he would not be willing to support her for city attorney this week, he cited two reasons: The first was her interactions with the independent investigator looking into the city's police chief scandal, which partly led to the investigator watering down key findings from her report. But the second was a "nasty" voicemail that McAloon sent to Stuckart's personal cellphone, where she allegedly called him a liar.

In other words, a single voicemail had become a crucial part of the story.

On August 2, the Inlander made a records request intending to obtain that voicemail, and other recent voicemails from or to McAloon from city leaders during that period…

Ursula Bogner - Recordings 1969-1988 (Faitiche)

While on a flight a couple years back, electronic musician Jan Jelinek started talking to a fellow by the name of Sebastian Bogner. He worked for a pharmaceutical company, and after some discussion disclosed that his mother used to like to "play around with synthesizers." As it turned out, that was kind of an understatement, because his mother (Ursula Bogner) actually was so into electronic music that she had a room in their house when he was growing up that was dedicated to playing. Over time, his mother (who was also a scientist within a pharmaceutical company) recorded different tracks and they pretty much went unheard.

How to Change the Default Notification Alert in iOS

Join Thomas Domville as he explores the new feature in iOS 17.2. that allows you to modify the default notification alert.

Previously, users were restricted to Apple's default notification sound. However, with iOS 17.2, Apple has added a new “Default Alerts” section in the “Sounds & Haptics” settings. This feature enables you to choose the sound for all incoming notifications, except for texts, mail alerts, and calendar alerts, which already had customization options.

You now have the freedom to use any of the text tones as your notification sound. This is a major update for those who have always desired to choose a sound.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to change your default notification sound:

Launch the Settings app.
Select “Sounds & Haptics.”
Select “Default Alerts.”
Choose your preferred text tone from the list.
Enjoy your new personalized notification sound!

You also have the option to alter the default haptic feedback. Apple made some adjustments to the default haptic alert in iOS 17, but now you can revert it or customize it if the update didn’t quite meet your expectations.
