Say it & Mail it version 1.4 was submitted to the iTunes Store today. It should be released in a couple of weeks and will be a free upgrade. You will be able to send a voice memo, picture and map location to an iPhone as an instant message. Pretty cool!

A free LITE version of 'Say it & Mail it' has been submitted to the iTunes store and should be available in a week or so.

There have been several requests to create a MacWise iPhone app. Unfortunately, that would require a jail-broken iPhone and a year of programming time. But the next best thing is actually very cool and has advantages over a limited-function iPhone app. It uses Virtual Network Computing (VNC) to let you see and control your Mac screen from anywhere on your iPhone. It's just as if you were sitting in front of your Mac using MacWise via your iPhone.

Say it & Mail it is the quickest and easiest way to email a voice memo from your iPhone or iPod Touch to yourself or to others.

This new version lets you 'Shake it & Mail it'. You can optionally shake your iPhone or iPod touch to start and stop recording. Then just one tap to email a voice memo.

Many web sites have not been able to play QuickTime movies during the past few days.
The symptom is that you click to play the movie and the movie window turns black and never plays the movie.
Here is a temporary fix for web site developers.

Many host computers are programmed to instruct the client app to save and restore screens.
MacWise 12.0 or later supports three sets of escape sequences commonly used by PC clients.

MacWise can now display pictures.
The pictures can reside on the Mac or a server.
Windows PC drives on the network are also supported for storing pictures.
Pictures can be placed anywhere on the screen under host control.
They can also be sized and scaled to specific dimensions or can retain their original aspect ratio. Accuterm escape sequences are supported for displaying pictures...

When PCL commands are included in the print job sent from the host to MacWise, the host can control printer features such as bold text, lines per inch, margins and much more. When this option is enabled in Printer Setup under the FIle Menu, the standard Mac Print dialog box is bypassed and the print job is sent directly to the Mac default printer...

If you select "Function Key Sets" from the Emulate Menu in MacWise, it will open a Finder window with several sets of keys.
There is a set called "VT220 Fkeys W/Do Key"
Double click on that to load the fkey set.

Older versions of the 3ivx video codec may cause MacWise to crash.
Install the latest version of 3ivx to prevent crashes...
