project ECB Interest Rate Forecast: Deutsche Bank's 7 reasons for projecting a lower terminal rate By www.forexlive.com Published On :: Tue, 12 Nov 2024 23:19:39 GMT Deutsche Bank has revised its forecast for the European Central Bank’s (ECB) terminal rate, lowering its central-case projection from 2.25% to 1.50%. The bank now anticipates the ECB’s policy rate will dip slightly below the neutral rate by the end of 2025, rather than returning to neutral by mid-year as previously expected. This shift in outlook is driven by several factors, including the potential for new tariffs from a Trump administration, which would likely impact trade, along with weaker macroeconomic performance in Europe and the increasing risk of inflation falling below target. According to Deutsche Bank, the uncertainty surrounding these dynamics is considerable, especially given the unclear timing and effects of U.S. tariffs and potential European responses. Reflecting this uncertainty, the bank has outlined a broad target range of 1.00% to 1.75% for the ECB’s terminal rate.Deutsche Bank notes that the terminal rate’s trajectory and ultimate level will depend on key influences such as:European fiscal policy, the economic health of Germany, developments in China, and fluctuations in oil prices. The bank further suggests that the global economy may be entering a new phase, with Europe potentially experiencing increasingly divergent economic conditions compared to the U.S. This article was written by Eamonn Sheridan at www.forexlive.com. project Viral Video Class Project (Update) By choirteachers.blogspot.com Published On :: Thu, 03 Jan 2013 15:48:00 +0000 Last year I had this crazy idea - Creating Viral Videos (A Classroom Project) Well we did it and the kids absolutely loved it! I think it was their favorite part of the year. I have had kids asking me all year "Mr. G are we doing the viral video thing again this year?" And yes we are. I am going to tweak a couple things and give better expectations but overall I will stand behind the original idea of I am staying out of the way and let the kids creative sides come out. Here is the video that got the most views during our allotted time frime, thus the winner. Though now there are videos that actually have more views. This is the same two kids who inspired the project, pretty cool. If the contest ended today this video would have actually won. And the likes won for sure. This one did really well and was one of my favorites. The video quality could be an actual music video. This girl wrote her own original song. This is a fun one where they went to a mall and interacted with the workers. Full Article
project Noose Film Project By guitarticles.blogspot.com Published On :: Fri, 22 Jul 2011 17:47:00 +0000 Today I received an email from some old acquaintances informing me that some of the chaps from The Dead Matter movie that I helped with are looking to raise $5,000 for a shoestring budget film called Noose. These guys are really cool and know their stuff and have a wonderful idea for a meager budget film that would be in the style of Dario Argento, probably the greatest Italian horror film director of all time and one of my all time favorite filmmakers. As described in the video that you can find on the pledge page here, they are looking to shoot something very colorful and psychological along the lines of Suspiria and Deep Red, two outstanding Argento films. As I mentioned before, the guys behind this project are cool as shit, extremely talented and unfortunately do to the economy, getting the funding for a feature length motion picture in the states of Ohio and Michigan has become increasingly more difficult. These people hover together like families and have great connections back to California, but have decided to go more independent a number of years ago to produce great thriller/horror films. It's unclear to me at this time whether or not they are intending to shoot a feature length script or make a short, but regardless -- even these days short films can cost a lot of money, but I've always been a fan of making my own short films with no capital, and I really want to support Noose, because I know in my heart that you can make great movies with very little money, and if these guys are intending to make a fairly lengthy film -- then this could be a great inspiration and "role model piece" for young film students. So, if you like movies (and many of us do), love horror movies, are interested in filmmaking and enjoy supporting this form of the arts, I recommend that you make a small pledge. They have until August 27th to reach their goal of just $5,000, and all you have to do is contribute at least $1.If you guys are interested in this, I'll try to keep you posted with any details that I receive, but it would be great to get these guys launched to a great start and support really solid entertainment.Again, here's the page where you can make the Pledge for Noose.Dead Matter Trailer Full Article film

project #390: Dmitry Alexandrov on Microservices, Project Helidon, and Building the Community By traffic.libsyn.com Published On :: Wed, 10 Feb 2021 13:49:47 +0000 In this episode Jim Grisanzio talks with Dmitry Alexandrov about his session at Jfokus 2021. Dmitry is a well known speaker at Java conferences globally, and at this month's Jfokus he ran a live coding session on Project Helidon, which is a collection of Java libraries for writing microservices. Dmitry covered the performance improvements and new features in Helidon 2.1. See his session abstract here. But Helidon is not just a Java engineering project for writing microservices. It's also an Open Source project. So developers can contribute globally via the community on GitHub. This is the real power of the technology -- the people sharing their experience and contributing to the project. And this is where Dmitry really gets emotional when he talks about Helidon. As a software developer, he loves the technology, but there's something special about his tone when he talks about the people he meets in the community. Dmitry has been a Java Champion for several years now, and he recently jointed Oracle in Bulgaria. Get him on Twitter @bercut2000. The trainees, judges-lecturers of five regional branches of the School, enhanced their knowledge of anti-corruption legislation, including national regulations and relevant international conventions, major aspects of judges’ ethics, including the identification and prevention of real and potential conflicts of interest, and judicial review of corruption-related disputes. The purpose of the session was to create a pool of experts able to deliver training courses for their peers at the National School of Judges on a regular basis. According to the Judicial Education Concept adopted by the School, the training methodology was based on interactive techniques and included discussions, case studies, mini-lectures, various exercises and role plays, and screenings of short simulation videos on the topic. To ensure the sustainability of OSCE efforts, the training course on anti-corruption will be submitted for institutionalization at the National School of Judges by the end of the year. This course will form part of the School’s mandatory curriculum for every judge appointed to the post. The training session was part of a project by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine to enhance the quality of judicial education and training.Related StoriesOSCE launches first distance human rights course in Ukraine for judgesOSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine trains social entrepreneurs on social media marketingOSCE supports Ukrainian legal education practitioners in developing human rights-oriented approaches to their work Full Article OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine Economic activities Eastern Europe News
project OSCE-implemented project on small arms and light weapons and conventional ammunition in Kyrgyzstan positively assessed By feeds.osce.org Published On :: Wed, 13 Apr 2016 13:55:34 +0000 KOY-TASH, Kyrgyzstan, 13 April 2016 – A two-day donor assessment of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek’s ongoing programme on small arms and light weapons (SALW) and conventional ammunition (CA) concluded today in Koy-Tash village of Kyrgyzstan. The assessment coincided with the launch of disposal facility for SALW, jointly organized by the Kyrgyz Armed Forces and the OSCE Centre. A delegation comprised of representatives of the embassies of the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and Finland, as well as members of the EU Delegation to Kyrgyzstan, OSCE Secretariat, OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Trust Fund. Representatives of Kyrgyzstan’s government administration, the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the State Defence Committee also joined the visit. The main goal of the programme is to increase the capacities of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces, focusing on effective management and disposal of SALW and CA, improving the relevant normative framework, enhancing the security of the storage warehouses for weapons and ammunition and capacity building among military staff. According to Colonel Adyl Kurbanov, Deputy Chair of the State Defence Committee, the Kyrgyz Armed Forces and the OSCE Centre in Bishkek successfully implemented the measures stipulated in the memorandum signed in 2013. He stated that, in the long-term, the contribution of the OSCE Centre will enhance the potential of the Armed Forces and ensure physical security of military depots. “Within the OSCE-implemented programme, Kyrgyzstan will receive modern warehouses that meet all security requirements and safety standards.” “Some of the major achievements of the programme include the establishment of an electronic record-storing and tracing database, which will significantly help to manage the stockpiles of SALW and ammunition available in the Kyrgyz Republic,” said Sergey Kapinos, the Head of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek. “The database will be the only one operating in Central Asia and it will reflect best practices of the SALW and ammunition management adopted in the OSCE area.” Rodney Robideau, Grants Officer at the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, reassured the Kyrgyz Armed Forces and the OSCE Centre in Bishkek that additional funds in the amount of USD 100,000 will be allocated in 2016 for the construction of a new warehouse for rockets and artillery in the Buzhum village of Batken oblast. The donors familiarized with programme activities, and visited warehouses where construction and refurbishment works are ongoing, and where the SALW disposal facility is established and equipped. The representatives of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces organized a demonstration of the destruction of unserviceable weapons through the use of a special hydraulic shear that is considered to be one of the most efficient tools in this field. Donors also visited the training centre for electronic database for SALW and CA record-storing and tracing. The OSCE Centre in Bishkek has been implementing this programme since February 2012 with the financial contributions of the USA, United Kingdom, European Union, Germany, Finland and Kazakhstan.Related StoriesTo mark World Day against Trafficking in Persons OSCE Centre in Bishkek supports public awareness raising campaignOSCE Centre in Bishkek supports summer school on topical issues of police reformOSCE Centre in Bishkek trains defence lawyers and prosecutors on right to liberty and freedom from arbitrary arrest or detention Full Article OSCE Centre in Bishkek Arms control Central Asia Press release
project OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine trains social entrepreneurs on social media marketing By feeds.osce.org Published On :: Wed, 27 Jul 2016 08:12:25 +0000 Andrii Dziubenko Ways to increase the sustainability of social businesses by using social media marketing tools were discussed at a training session organized in Kyiv on 26 July 2016 by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine. The event gathered representatives of three social businesses that were established with the support of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine so that they can provide job skills for people vulnerable to human trafficking. The social businesses also simultaneously serve as revenue sources for local NGOs working on anti-trafficking. The training course focused on widespread social networks and ways of using them for increasing social enterprises’ profit, including the best use of social media to attract customers and gain their positive feedback. The participants had a chance to practice their digital skills and communication abilities during the hands-on exercises aimed at producing high-quality content for social networks. Natalia Myakushko, Head of the Rukomysli Social Enterprise in Lviv, thanked the OSCE Project Co-ordinator for its continuous support. “The innovative idea of social business requires innovative tools for its development and this training helps us to use modern communication channels in an efficient way for the benefit of people vulnerable to human trafficking,” she said. This is the first of three training sessions which will help social entrepreneurs develop a strategy for interacting with new media. The training sessions are part of a project on preventing human trafficking in Ukraine through the economic empowerment of vulnerable persons, which is being implemented by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in co-operation with the Ukrainian Ministry of Social Policy, and with the support from the Canadian Government and Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project aims at the establishment of and support to social businesses that work to prevent human trafficking by providing beneficiaries with sufficient and sustainable income at home, giving them genuine and viable livelihood options, and therefore decreasing the likelihood of persons taking up deceptive job offers where they may be exploited. So far, 52 people at risk of human trafficking, including 14 internally displaced people, two victims of domestic violence and one ex-combatant, as well as six people who were formerly subjected to human trafficking have already benefited from the job skills’ courses within these social businesses.Related StoriesOSCE launches first distance human rights course in Ukraine for judgesOSCE supports Ukrainian legal education practitioners in developing human rights-oriented approaches to their workSpot Report by OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine: SMM threatened at gunpoint near Lobacheve in Luhansk region Full Article OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine Combating human trafficking Eastern Europe News

project OSCE Project Co-ordinator to assist Ukraine in strengthening democratic control of defence and security sectors By feeds.osce.org Published On :: Fri, 15 Jul 2016 11:08:03 +0000 KYIV, 15 July 2016 – The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine today opened a new sphere of project assistance to Ukraine – improving democratic control of defence and security sectors – with a presentation of international experience and best practices at a conference in Kyiv. The event, co-organized with the Parliament and the Ministry of Defence, brought together more than 120 parliamentarians, military and civilian representatives of various ministries, experts, and civil society activists to learn about the basic principles in this area, as well as practical examples from other countries. During the conference, the OSCE Code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security and the OSCE Security Sector Governance and Reform Guidelines were presented. Ukrainian translations of these documents can be found at www.osce.org/fsc/41355 and www.osce.org/uk/secretariat/253156, respectively. The participants discussed in detail the national models of parliamentary and civic control over the defence sectors of Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, and Norway. “The ability of Parliament, and of society at large, to exercise control over its security services is a true litmus test for democracy and rule of law,” said Jeffrey Erlich, Senior Project Officer at the OSCE Project Co-ordinator’s Office. “Such oversight contributes to a much more effective security sector by rooting out corruption, and by strengthening the bond between society and the armed forces.” Igor Dolgov, Deputy Minister of Defence, said: “For me there is no question of whether it is possible to simultaneously deal with current crisis and implement reforms in defense sectors, including strengthening mechanisms of democratic control over armed forces. It is needed and it is already happening.” Until the end of the year, the OSCE Project Co-ordinator will provide expertise in developing a concept paper and implementation plan for democratic oversight; assist in promoting dialogue between the military, parliamentarians, experts and civic activists; and contribute to raising awareness among the public by publishing relevant online resources. Further assistance efforts will continue after 2016. In partnering with the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of the Armed Forces (DCAF), the project will also draw on their expertise.Related StoriesOSCE Project Co-ordinator promotes best practices of democratic control over defence and security sector in UkraineOSCE Project Co-ordinator to mark 20 years of Ukraine’s constitution with discussion on constitutional reformOSCE Project Co-ordinator trains new Ukrainian neighbourhood police Full Article OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine Reform and cooperation in the security sector Eastern Europe Press release
