component Opening An Automatic Car Wash? Components That Are Used By flamintiki.com Published On :: Mon, 26 Sep 2022 11:29:02 +0000 If you are opening an automatic car wash, it can be helpful to know the components that are used. Below is information about this, so you can have a better understanding of how your automatic car wash works. Conveyor The first component you see with an automatic car wash is the conveyor. When a car pulls up this is what they drive up onto. It then pulls the car into the car wash. A correlator is used to align the vehicle's wheels with the conveyor track. An infrared sensor then measures the vehicle, and the rollers and sprayers automatically adjust to fit with the vehicle. This ensures the entire vehicle is washed as it is going through the car wash. If the vehicle has an automatic transmission, it should be put in park when placed in the automatic car wash. If the vehicle has a manual transmission, it should be placed in neutral. Nozzles Once the car rolls through the automatic car wash, a series of nozzles pop out to spray the entire car. Plain water is not used to do this. Instead, a pre-soaking solution that loosens dirt and grime on the vehicle is used. This makes it much easier to clean as the vehicle goes through the car wash. There are also nozzles that pop out on the side of the automatic car wash to spray down the tires and rims. This removes brake dust and dirt that may be on the tires and rims, as well as makes the tires shiny and clean. Once the entire vehicle has been sprayed down it goes through a mitter curtain to remove excess moisture on the vehicle. Foam and Scrub Equipment The cleaning foam is sprayed on the vehicle. A scrubber is then used to clean the car. What is used for the foam depends on the car wash as this is your choice. The scrubber spins fast as the car passes through. The scrubbers will become very dirty over time, so it is important that you clean them regularly. If too much dirt and debris stick on the scrubbers, they will not clean as well and can even scratch the paint on the vehicles. Rinse, Wax, and Dry Once the car is cleaned it goes through a rinse which sprays water onto the car to completely remove the foaming solution. The sprayer uses high-pressure water to ensure it gets to all areas of the car. This includes the exterior of the car, under the car, and the tires and rims. Once the foam is rinsed, wax is automatically sprayed onto the car. This not only makes the car very shiny but can also fill in small scratches to hide them. The last component used is the dryer which blows warm air onto the car to remove any leftover moisture. You may also have employees that help dry the vehicle as it leaves the automatic car wash. You need to learn how to maintain these components, so they last a long time for you. For more information, contact a local company like Better Car Wash Equipment and Supply. Full Article

component An Aspect-Oriented Framework for Weaving Domain-Specific Concerns into Component-Based Systems By www.jucs.org Published On :: 2011-05-06T16:03:36+02:00 Software components are used in various application domains, and many component models and frameworks have been proposed to fulfill domain-specific requirements. The general trend followed by these approaches is to provide ad-hoc models and tools for capturing these requirements and for implementing their support within dedicated runtime platforms, limited to features of the targeted domain. The challenge is then to propose more flexible solutions, where components reuse is domain agnostic. In this article, we present a framework supporting compositional construction and development of applications that must meet various extra-functional/domain-specific requirements. The key points of our contribution are: i) We target development of component-oriented applications where extra-functional requirements are expressed as annotations on the units of composition in the application architecture. ii) These annotations are implemented as open and extensible component-based containers, achieving full separation of functional and extra-functional concerns. iii) Finally, the full machinery is implemented using the Aspect-Oriented Programming paradigm. We validate our approach with two case studies: the first is related to real-time and embedded applications, while the Full Article

component The Application of a Knowledge Management Framework to Automotive Original Component Manufacturers By Published On :: 2017-12-15 Aim/Purpose: This paper aims to present an example of the application of a Knowledge Man-agement (KM) framework to automotive original component manufacturers (OEMs). The objective is to explore KM according to the four pillars of a selected KM framework. Background: This research demonstrates how a framework, namely the George Washington University’s Four Pillar Framework, can be used to determine the KM status of the automotive OEM industry, where knowledge is complex and can influence the complexity of the KM system (KMS) used. Methodology: An empirical study was undertaken using a questionnaire to gather quantitative data. There were 38 respondents from the National Association of Automotive Component and Allied Manufacturers (NAACAM) and suppliers from three major automotive OEMs. The respondents were required to be familiar with the company’s KMS. Contribution: Currently there is a limited body of research available on the KM implementation frameworks for the automotive industry. This study presents a novel approach to the use of a KM framework to reveal the status of KM in automotive OEMs. At the time of writing, the relationship between the four pillars and the complexity of KMS had not yet been determined. Findings: The results indicate that there is a need to improve KM in the automotive OEM industry. According to the relationships investigated, the four pillars, namely leadership, organization, technology and learning, are considered important for KM, regardless of the level of KMS complexity, Recommendations for Practitioners: Automotive OEMs need to ensure that the KM aspects are established and should be periodically evaluated by using a KM framework such as the George Washington University’s Four Pillar Framework to identify KM weaknesses. Recommendation for Researchers: The establishment and upkeep of a successful KM environment is challenging due to the complexity involved with various influencing aspects. To ensure that all aspects are considered in KM environments, comprehensive KM frameworks, such as the George Washington University’s Four Pillar Framework, need to be applied. Impact on Society: The status of KM management and accessibility of knowledge in organizations needs to be periodically examined, in order to improve supplier and OEM knowledge sharing. Future Research: Although the framework used provides a process for KM status determination, this study could be extended by investigating a methodology that includes KMS best practice and tools. This study could be repeated at a national and international level to provide an indication of KM practice within the entire automotive industry. Full Article

component The ABC toxin complex from Yersinia entomophaga can package three different cytotoxic components expressed from distinct genetic loci in an unfolded state: the structures of both shell and cargo By journals.iucr.org Published On :: 2024-05-01 Bacterial ABC toxin complexes (Tcs) comprise three core proteins: TcA, TcB and TcC. The TcA protein forms a pentameric assembly that attaches to the surface of target cells and penetrates the cell membrane. The TcB and TcC proteins assemble as a heterodimeric TcB–TcC subcomplex that makes a hollow shell. This TcB–TcC subcomplex self-cleaves and encapsulates within the shell a cytotoxic `cargo' encoded by the C-terminal region of the TcC protein. Here, we describe the structure of a previously uncharacterized TcC protein from Yersinia entomophaga, encoded by a gene at a distant genomic location from the genes encoding the rest of the toxin complex, in complex with the TcB protein. When encapsulated within the TcB–TcC shell, the C-terminal toxin adopts an unfolded and disordered state, with limited areas of local order stabilized by the chaperone-like inner surface of the shell. We also determined the structure of the toxin cargo alone and show that when not encapsulated within the shell, it adopts an ADP-ribosyltransferase fold most similar to the catalytic domain of the SpvB toxin from Salmonella typhimurium. Our structural analysis points to a likely mechanism whereby the toxin acts directly on actin, modifying it in a way that prevents normal polymerization. Full Article text
component Supramolecular architectures in multicomponent crystals of imidazole-based drugs and trithiocyanuric acid By journals.iucr.org Published On :: 2024-07-01 The structures of three multicomponent crystals formed with imidazole-based drugs, namely metronidazole, ketoconazole and miconazole, in conjunction with trithiocyanuric acid are characterized. Each of the obtained adducts represents a different category of crystalline molecular forms: a cocrystal, a salt and a cocrystal of salt. The structural analysis revealed that in all cases, the N—H⋯N hydrogen bond is responsible for the formation of acid–base pairs, regardless of whether proton transfer occurs or not, and these molecular pairs are combined to form unique supramolecular motifs by centrosymmetric N—H⋯S interactions between acid molecules. The complex intermolecular forces acting in characteristic patterns are discussed from the geometric and energetic perspectives, involving Hirshfeld surface analysis, pairwise energy estimation, and natural bond orbital calculations. component Crystal structures of two different multi-component crystals consisting of 1-(3,4-dimethoxybenzyl)-6,7-dimethoxyisoquinoline and fumaric acid By journals.iucr.org Published On :: 2024-10-11 Two different multi-component crystals consisting of papaverine [1-(3,4-dimethoxybenzyl)-6,7-dimethoxyisoquinoline, C20H21NO4] and fumaric acid [C4H4O4] were obtained. Single-crystal X-ray structure analysis revealed that one, C20H21NO4·1.5C4H4O4 (I), is a salt co-crystal composed of salt-forming and non-salt-forming molecules, and the other, C20H21NO4·0.5C4H4O4 (II), is a salt–co-crystal intermediate (i.e., in an intermediate state between a salt and a co-crystal). In this study, one state (crystal structure at 100 K) within the salt–co-crystal continuum is defined as the ‘intermediate’. Full Article text

component Episode 87: Software Components By feedproxy.google.com Published On :: Thu, 21 Feb 2008 20:06:22 +0000 In this episode, Michael and Markus talk about software components. We first looked at a couple of attempts at defining what a component is. We then provided our own definition that will be used in the rest of the episode. We then looked at the promises of component-based development: why are components useful? We then discussed some of the typical metadata components should specify to make them useful. We discussed to some extent typical variations in component models. The next topic was the separation of concerns between the component functionality and functionality provided by the component's execution environment (aka. container). We then compared components with other (more or less) related technologies such as OO and SOA. We concluded the episode with the notion of architecture as language, where you use a formal DSL to describe a system's architecture. Components are the basic building block for this approach.
