Extreme Networks Aerohive HiveOS 11.x Denial Of Service

Extreme Networks Aerohive HiveOS versions 11.x and below remote denial of service exploit. An unauthenticated malicious user can trigger a denial of service (DoS) attack when sending specific application layer packets towards the Aerohive NetConfig UI. This proof of concept exploit renders the application unusable for 305 seconds or 5 minutes with a single HTTP request using the action.php5 script calling the CliWindow function thru the _page parameter, denying access to the web server hive user interface.

The first request for proposals (RFP) seeks partners to add batteries to existing APS solar plants in rural Arizona, storing their power for use after the panels stop producing each day. A second partner is being sought to develop a large (100-MW) solar plant paired with an equal amount of storage, to bring more clean energy to customers after dark. Both of these projects will provide APS customers with more solar after sunset, serving their evening energy needs with an even cleaner resource mix.

After 25 years of devoted service as a program officer and participant services officer assisting East-West Center’s international students, Rose Nakamura didn’t slow down.  Her retirement from the Center in 1989 opened up new avenues of service.  As Hawaii’s senior population continues to grow and many are isolated, living far away from family on the U.S. mainland, Nakamura saw a need in the community to create a program that provides volunteer assistance to homebound frail elderly and disabled persons to ensure their independence and dignity.
