A moveable divider divides the dose chamber into a primary space and a secondary space, movement of the divider expanding one space at the expense of the other. A gravity feed system is contemplated with one or more of an initial filtering stage(s), a settling stage, a UV treatment stage, and an ozonator stage. A stand-alone power system with solar power needing no infrastructure is contemplated to enhance purification. The system can improve the worst of water quality, including for small groups; and under some conditions to end up with clean water of a quality found in developed countries with mature water systems. For water to the site in communities with low precipitation, the water brought in would be emptied into the initial stage of the water cleansing system, and the person who brought the water would draw from the last stage most or all of the amount of water carried in.

A valve unit includes a valve member that moves relative to a valve seat in response to a magnetic field generated by a coil. An input signal to the coil controls the extent of movement of the valve member relative to the valve seat, to control a gas flow rate therethrough. A portable device to compress a bow comprising a pulley system with a block and tackle and fixed pulleys which, by wiring, are connected to a set of fastening supports with fastening ends. The fastening ends fasten and pull the ends of the arms or limbs of a bow, under traction exerted by the block and tackle. The block and tackle has a drive portion and a brake controlling the traction and release of the cables connected to the fastening supports. Upon pulling the drive portion, the block and tackle produces the approach between the first and the second pulleys. This displacement between the pulleys acts on the cables which, through the fixed pulleys, cause the approach between the fastening supports. This displacement of the fastening supports overcomes the resistance of the bow and compresses it. Once the desired compressive level is reached, the brake or blockage is actuated.

The present invention consists of a lathe attachment for installation on a portable bandsaw mill, for turning round shafts from wood blocks on the portable bandsaw mill. The lathe attachment has an elongated chassis, a tailstock and a headstock mounted on opposite ends of the chassis for holding and rotating a wood block along the chassis. Bindings are provided to retain the chassis to the cross beams of the portable bandsaw mill. In another aspect of the invention, a number of symmetrical facets are firstly sawed along the wood block prior to turning the wood block. The turning of a round shaft on the bandsaw mill is preferably effected while the alignment of the wood block or shaft makes an acute angle with the direction of movement of the bandsaw head.

Solid state light emitting devices including adjustable melatonin suppression effects

Solid state light emitting devices include multiple LED components providing adjustable melatonin suppression effects. Multiple LED components may be operated simultaneously according to different operating modes according to which their combined output provides the same or similar chromaticity, but provides melatonin suppressing effects that differ by at least a predetermined threshold amount between the different operating modes. Switching between operating modes may be triggered by user input elements, timers/clocks, or sensors (e.g., photosensors). Chromaticity of combined output of multiple LED components may also be adjusted, together with providing adjustable melatonin suppression effects at each selected combined output chromaticity.

Portable dispenser assembly

A portable dispenser assembly for dispensing disinfectant to a user. The assembly includes a main housing defining a cavity for receiving a container in an inverted position. The main housing defines an opening into the cavity through which the container is inserted in the inverted position so that a stem of the container is directed downwardly in the main housing. The main housing including a bottom wall, a side wall, and a nozzle fixed with respect to the walls. The nozzle defines an inlet opposite the opening for receiving the stem of the container in the inverted position and the nozzle defines a discharge aperture configured to direct the disinfectant fluid from the container toward the user when the user depresses the container relative to the main housing to dispense the disinfectant fluid from the container.

Safe portable sprayer

A safe portable sprayer comprising a reservoir for storing clean water that can be carried on the back or attached the shoulders, including a large nozzle on the upper face thereof, a small nozzle with a water pump adapted thereto, and a small neck that is provided with a cap. The cap is screwed on the nozzle, and includes a recipient that fits into the nozzle. The cap is provided with vertical holes that pass through a channel. The holes are provided with inner threads for receiving corresponding valves having lower tapered ends. Inside the recipient, flexible containers of chemicals are attached to the holes; the containers are kept immersed and compressed by water inside the recipient from the pump, such that the pressure generated by the water impels the water and chemical toward the channel of the cap, and to the spraying gun through the pipe.
