“Sri Lanka has been a very big market for us. In recent times, we have seen some large volumes out of that market,” Munjal told ET on Monday.

It further added that with improvement in the currency situation and in the consumer sentiment, its volumes are gradually picking up.

"XPulse (concept) that we showed today is in that (premium) segment. There are other products that are under development currently," Munjal said.

Following the record hike in excise duty on petrol and diesel, the total incidence of taxation on auto fuels jumped to 70 per cent of the retail price. But the retail prices are not impacted as the hike completely wipes out the fall in crude prices.
