The Veterans Housing Act allows the Department of Veterans Affairs to guarantee a home or mobile home loan. While eligibility is still determined by VA, the benefits vary depending on when you served in the military and the type of service. While those currently or previously on active duty are allowed benefits after serving anywhere between 90 days to 24 months, depending on the year, reservist and national guard members never called to duty, will need to contact VA to determine eligibility.

If you've recently moved from Hawaii to the mainland and shipped your car as well, it's a good idea to have your car detailed as soon as possible. The elements of weather and nature in Hawaii can wreak havoc on vehicles in so many ways. Harsh Conditions for Vehicles in Hawaii

• Salt. The salt in the air and sea spray from the ocean can cause significant damage to your vehicle's hard surfaces. Salt can eat away at the clear coat, paint, and undercarriage. Extensive rust is commonly found on vehicles in Hawaii. The salt can also leave residue which causes spots on the glass, so your windows, mirrors, and lights may have mineral spots on them that need to be carefully removed so as not to scratch the glass. 
• Sand. When living on an island, sand can get into every nook and cranny. Even if you religiously cleaned your vehicle at a neighborhood carwash, there's probably sand somewhere in your vehicle. If some sand is in your wheels, it can damage your brake pads and wheel bearings. 
• Soil. Volcanic soil is corrosive. Therefore, any soil from Hawaii remaining on your car can cause corrosion. Ask the car detailing service to pay particular attention to the undercarriage and wheel wells to remove the soil and the corrosive residue from the soil. Also, volcanic soil has a dye-like substance, so you'll want to have the detailing service give the interior a deep clean as well. 

Focus Attention Everywhere 

When detailing a car that has been in Hawaii for an extensive period of time, attention needs to be focused pretty much everywhere the salt air has touched to remove salt and salt residue. The detailer should also remove all sand, soil, and soil residue. Be prepared to replace the floor mats, as they may have discoloration on them from the dye-like substances in the volcanic soil. Also, be sure to have the trunk of the car detailed as well, especially if you placed items in it from excursions to the beaches, parks, and volcanos.

If we want to see God, where do we begin? Archimandrite Aimilianos says that we must begin with what we can do. We can seek; we can come to God with longing. In other words, if you want to see God, you have to want to see God. I’m not being redundant. There is wanting, and then there is wanting. I can want to become a doctor, for example; but if I don’t want to become a doctor more than I want to play video games, more than I want to hang out with my friends and more than just about anything else, I will never become a doctor. There is wanting, and then there is really wanting: wanting so much that it is pretty much all I want. And so we might say that if you want to see God, you have to want to see God more than just about anything else.

“The line between good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being.” The key difference between the Pharisee and the Publican rooted in their hearts and was not simply a matter of their outward behavior or how they appeared to others. Even the despised traitor and thief remained in the image of God and was able to embrace divine mercy when he humbly confessed the truth about his personal brokenness. The Pharisee also bore God’s image, but was so blinded by his slavery to the primordial sin of pride that his spiritual practices lacked integrity and did his soul more harm than good.

We have everything that we need to follow in the path of the apostles and saints in humbly obeying our Lord. That is how we can become radiant with the divine glory and obey the Savior’s calling: “Follow Me.”
