The Secretary-General attended the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FM&CBG) Meeting and the International Monetary Fund/World Bank (IMF/WB) Spring Meetings. He also presented the OECD Scoreboard on Financing SMEs and Entrepreneurs and attended a series of meetings and other events.

The Secretary-General was in Washington to present the 2016 OECD Economic Survey of the United States. He also delivered a keynote speech on inclusive cities, delivered remarks on improving opportunities for women in the United States, and attended the Bretton Woods II At Sea Event.

The Secretary-General participated in a number of events including the UN General Assembly and the UN Summit for Refugees and Migrants. He also presented the OECD International Migration Outlook 2016 as well as the OECD African Economic Outlook and the publication "States of Fragility 2016".

The Secretary-General attended the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group. He also delivered remarks at a number of other events including a keynote speech on the “The Integration of Migrants and Refugees: Challenges and Opportunities” at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, and the launch of the Model G20 Program at American University.

The latest OECD Economic Survey of Canada, to be published on Monday 13 June, discusses how the Canadian economy is adjusting to the fall in commodity prices. The Survey assesses future growth and employment prospects as the economy shifts toward non-resource-based activity, including policies for accompanying this transition.

The Secretary-General attended and made remarks at the Conference of Montreal “Shaping a New Era of Prosperity”, organised by the International Economic Forum of the Americas. He presented the 2016 OECD Economic Survey of Canada, alongside Mr. William Francis Morneau, Minister of Finance of Canada, and released a report on employment in Montreal with Mr. Denis Coderre, Mayor of Montreal.

Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Montreal from 13 to 15 May 2018 to attend the OECD Ministerial Meeting on Social Policy where he delivered remarks on Social Policy for Shared Prosperity: Embracing the Future and the OECD Policy Forum where he delivered remarks on The Future of Social Protection.

Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will be in Whistler on 1-2 June 2018 to attend the G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting. He will deliver remarks on growth that works for all and on adapting the economy to technological transformation. He will also update the Ministers on latest developments regarding international taxation.

Mr. Angel Gurría will be in Quebec, on 8-9 June 2018, to attend the 2018 G7 Leaders’ Summit. The Secretary-General will deliver remarks at the G7 Outreach Leaders Working Session on Oceans.

Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, visited The Hague on 23 and 24 April 2014 to present the 2014 Economic Survey of the Netherlands as well as the OECD Review of Innovation Policy and the Territorial Review of the country. During his stay, Mr. Gurría held bilateral meetings with HRH Queen Maxima, Prime Minister Mark Rutte, various members of the Dutch government, and business and trade union representatives.

The High-Level Commission on Health Employment and Economic Growth, chaired by H.E. François Hollande and H.E. Jacob Zuma, today delivered its final report and recommendations to United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Mr. Gurría presented the 2015 OECD Economic Survey of Japan, held several meetings including with the Prime Minister, took part in the launch event for the Education 2030 project and delivered a keynote speech at the International Symposium on Corporate Governance and Japan’s Growth Strategy.
