By Gunjan Sharma New Delhi, May 1 () The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, which has become the first academic institute to develop a COVID-19 testing method, is planning to give non-exclusive open licence to companies for commercialising the test but with a price rider. While over 40 companies have reached out to the premiere institute after it got an approval from the ICMR for the test, IIT will be giving the licence to the companies which meet its quality criteria and the test is expected to be in market within three weeks. IIT Kharagpur Director V K Tewari has said central institutes like the IITs and NITs have a major role to help the micro, medium and small enterprises (MSME) by guiding them to manufacture personal protective equipment, parts of diagnostic kits and other products required in the Covid-19 era. Tewari advocated creating mobile apps for the MSMEs, hit hard by the novel coronavirus triggered lockdown, to provide them with training by the institutes. "For instance, if we provide them (MSME units) with designs of gloves, masks meeting certain guidelines, they can come up with products in 3-4 months. Similarly, these enterprises can be roped in for making parts of diagnostic kits and PCR machines... after required training," he said. आईआईटी इंदौर के प्रोफेसर कोरोना की दवा खोजने के लिए सीवियर अक्यूट रेस्पिरेटरी सिंड्रोम (सार्स) को फैलाने वाले सार्स कोव-2 वायरस का अध्ययन कर रहे हैं। संस्थान के बायोसाइंस और बायोमेडिकल इंजीनियरिंग के प्रोफेसर इस काम में जुटे हैं। आईआईटी अमेरिका, नॉर्वे, स्वीडन, फ्रांस, डेनमार्क के रिसर्च ग्रुप के साथ मिलकर स्टॉप कोविड-19 पैंडेमिक प्रोजेक्ट पर भी काम कर रहा है। नॉर्वेजियन रिसर्च काउंसिल इस प्रोजेक्ट को फंड कर रही है। देश के कई संस्थानों के इस इंडियन रिसर्च ग्रुप के प्रमुख आईआईटी इंदौर के डॉ. अविनाश सोनवाने होंगे। आईआईटी के डॉ. अमित कुमार ने बताया- हम सार्स कोव-2 वायरस के 16 तरह के प्रोटींस पर अध्ययन कर रहे हैं। इसके जरिए एक साल में कोरोना की असरकारक वैक्सीन तैयार की जाएगी।
थ्रीडी प्रिंटिंग से बना रहे दोबारा उपयोग किए जा सकने वाले मास्क
पुलिस और मेडिकल स्टाफ के पर्स, मोबाइल और चाबियों को संक्रमण रहित करने के लिए आईआईटी, आईजी विवेक शर्मा के सुझाव पर स्टरलाइजेशन चैंबर भी बना रही है। इसमें 254 एनएम की यूवी किरणों से सामान को डिसइंफेक्ट किया जा सकेगा। संस्थान के डॉ. आईए पलानी और डॉ. इंद्रसेन सिंह थ्रीडी प्रिंटिंग मशीन के जरिए कपड़े के मास्क तैयार कर रहे हैं। डॉ. विपुल सिंह और डॉ. पलानी ने ऑप्टिकल टेंपरेचर सेंसर तैयार किया है। मरीज के कपड़ों पर लगाने से शरीर के तापमान पर लगातार नजर रखी जा सकेगी।
विशेष ईंटों से बने कमरों में ट्रकों का संक्रमण भी होगा दूर
बड़े सामान, मशीन और हर बड़े आकार की चीजों को संक्रमण रहित करने के लिए आईआईटी ने विशेष प्रकार की ईंटें और मोर्टार बनाए हैं। सिविल इंजीनियरिंग विभाग के संदीप चौधरी और राजेश कुमार ने बताया, ईंट और कोटिंग वाले मोर्टार से बनी टनल में सामान को यूवी लाइट से संक्रमण मुक्त करेंगे। इसमें सामान से परावर्तित किरणों को विशेष ईंट सोख लेंगी।

कोरोना से लड़ने के लिए स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों के अलावा साइंस और टेक्नोलॉजी से जुड़े देश के उच्च संस्थान भी एकजुट होकर काम कर रहे हैं। एक तरफ भारत सरकार ने आरोग्य सेतु जैसे कोरोना ट्रैकिंग ऐप लॉन्च किया वहीं दूसरी ओर इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ साइंस (आईआईएससी) और इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी (आईआईटी) जैसे संस्थानों ने मिलकर 'गो कोरोना गो' और 'संपर्क-ओ-मीटर' जैसे ऐप्सतैयार किएहैं, जो कोरोना से बचने और सतर्क रहनेमें लोगों की मदद कर रहेहैं।

गो कोरोना गो ऐप

गो कोरोना गो ऐप को आईआईएससी ने डेवलप किया है, जो पता लगाता है कि कहीं यूजर ने कोरोना संक्रमितों या संदिग्धों के साथ यात्रा या रास्ता पार तो नहीं किया। ऐप इस काम के लिए स्मार्टफोन के जीपीएस और ब्लूटूथ के अलावा नेमपिछली कन्वर्सेशन को इस्तेमाल करता है। आईआईएससी के फैकल्टी मेंबर तारुण रंभा ने बताया कि ऐप दूर के संपर्कों के लिए संक्रमित होने की संभावना को समझने के लिए बैकएंड में टेम्परेरी नेटवर्क एनालिटिक्स का इस्तेमाल करता है। इससे यह बीमारी फैलने और सबसे ज्यादा जोखिम वाले लोगों की पहचान करता है। उन्होंने आगे बताया कि ऐप आईसोलेशन और प्रॉक्जिमिटी स्कोर अलर्ट देता है साथ ही सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग बढ़ने में भी मदद करता है। इसमें जियो-फेसिंग फीचर भी है जो खासतौर से उन लोगों के लिए जो खुद को क्वारैंटाइन किए हुए हैं। इसके अलावा ये उन लक्षणों के बारे में भी बताता है जिससे संक्रमित होने की संभावना हो सकती है।

संपर्क-ओ-मीटर ऐप
रंभा ने बताया आईआईटी रोपड़ के ए.बी. टेक स्टूडेंट्स ने संपर्क-ओ-मीटर बनाई है। ऐप मैप के जरिए उन जगहों की जानकारी मुहैया कराता है, जहां कोरोना से संक्रमित होने की सबसे ज्यादा संभावना है। यह ऐप कई सारे मापदंड़ों के आधार पर रिस्क स्कोर जारी कर यूजर को एहतियाती उपाय करने के लिए अलर्ट करता है जिसमें सेल्फ आइसोलेट और डॉक्टर से परामर्श लेने शामिल है।

कोरोनटाइन (CORONTINE) ऐप
आईआईटी मुंबई के स्टूडेंट्स ने मिलकर भी कोरोनटाइन ऐप डिजाइन की है। ऐप क्वारैंटाइन जोन छोड़ने पर संदिग्ध व्यक्ति को ट्रैक करने में मदद करेगा, जो कई लोगों को संक्रमित कर सकता है। इसे ऐप को ऑथोराइज्ड एजेंसी द्वारा संदिग्ध व्यक्ति के फोन में इंस्टॉल किया जाएगा। ऐप समय समय पर यूजर की जीपीएस लोकेशन की जानकारी सुपरविजन कर रही एजेंसी के सर्वर पर पहुंचाती रहेगी। जैसे ही संदिग्ध जियो फेसिंग किए गए क्वारैंटाइन जोन को छोड़ेगा, यह तुरंत उसे ऑटो डिटेक्ट कर लेगा।

आईआईटी दिल्ली के छात्रों ने भी ऐसी ऐप तैयार की है, जो ऐसे लोगों को ट्रैक करने में मदद करेगी जो कोविड-19 पॉजीटिव कें संपर्क में आए हैं। यह ब्लूटूथ की मदद से काम करता है। ऐप उन यूजर्स को अलर्ट करेगी जो बीते दिनों में संक्रमितों के नजदीक गए हों।

आईआईटी रुड़की ने भी ऐसी ऐप तैयार किया है। इससे संदिग्धों की निगरानी की जा सकती है साथ ही उनके आसपास जियो-फेसिंग तैयार की जा सकती है। जिसे ही क्वारैंटाइन पर्सन इस जियो फेसिंग को तोड़गा, ऐप तुरंत सिस्टम को अलर्ट कर देगा। जीपीएस के काम न करने की स्थिति में यह एसएमएस के जरिए अलर्ट करता है।

As the number of asymptomatic Covid-19 patients is increasing across the country, two professors from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Goa, are in the process of devising a rapid test to detect such cases.

IIT Bombay, for the first time, will evaluate its student based on their past performances, said a professor who attended an internal meeting of the institute last week where this decision was made.
