new Revival Now Pt2: A New Prayer Movement By www.preachtheword.com Published On :: Sun, 31 Jul 2022 17:10:02 GMT In Part 2 of 'Revival Now' as we contemplate the type of revival we might need in our day, David now considers how we need 'A New Prayer Movement'. What kind of praying is needed for revival? In this age of innovation, what 'old paths' of prayer might we need to rediscover in what God is doing anew? Be inspired to pray for revival through this message! This message is available at https://www.preachtheword.com now in MP3 audio format... Full Article Religion & Spirituality
new Revival Now Pt3: A New Holiness Movement By www.preachtheword.com Published On :: Mon, 15 Aug 2022 10:10:02 GMT In Part 3 of 'Revival Now', we ask: what is the holiness that we are called to as Christians? It has been misrepresented and misunderstood by many in the church. In this message, David first establishes what holiness is not and then goes on to consider what is this holiness and most importantly how do we get it? In a day when sin and compromise is rampant in the church, we need 'A New Holiness Movement'. In 2021 we need a revival in true holiness. new Revival Now Pt4: A New Freedom Movement By www.preachtheword.com Published On :: Thu, 01 Sep 2022 10:10:02 GMT The church very often cannot receive the message of revival because it is so bound. Like Lazarus, the church may be 'alive', but spiritually bound. Many Christians as individuals are in this position and need deliverance and freedom. In Part 4 of 'Revival Now', David talks about how we can be set free as individuals, and the incredible impact that one soul saved and set free can have, even on a whole community. We need to rediscover the message of freedom in the Gospel of the Kingdom. We need 'A New Freedom Movement'! This message is available at https://www.preachtheword.com now in MP3 audio format... new Revival Now Pt5: A New Word and Spirit Movement By www.preachtheword.com Published On :: Thu, 15 Sep 2022 10:10:02 GMT Very often in some streams of Christianity there is an emphasis upon the Word of God, as opposed to the Spirit of God, or vice versa. At times these strands are even in contention with each other. This is not the way New Testament Christianity is meant to be. It should not be a case of 'either or' but 'both and' as regards the Word and the Holy Spirit. In Part 5 of our 'Revival Now' series, David explores this disparity and how we desperately need a new movement of the Word and the Spirit: The Word with the Spirit - not the Word without the Spirit; and the Spirit with the Word - not the Spirit without the Word. There is great power when the Word and the Spirit are together. Join us for this challenging exhortation, which is available at https://www.preachtheword.com now in MP3 audio format... new Revival Now Pt6: A New Unity Movement By www.preachtheword.com Published On :: Sat, 01 Oct 2022 10:10:02 GMT In Part 6 of 'Revival Now' we see our need for 'A New Unity Movement'. If scriptures like Psalm 133 and the High Priestly prayer of Jesus in John 17 put such a high value on unity as a key to blessing, why is it so elusive in Christianity? David suggests two reasons for this: first, the devil's agenda at all costs to divide and conquer, and second, our fear of false unity. In this message, David considers what false unity is and also why we should not be afraid of true unity in Spirit and in truth. One thing is certain, God wants the body of Christ everywhere to be united for His Kingdom cause. If that much is clear, what difference should that make to our attitudes to others and our behaviours? This message is available at https://www.preachtheword.com now in MP3 audio format... new Revival Now Pt7: A New Christlike Movement By www.preachtheword.com Published On :: Sat, 15 Oct 2022 10:10:02 GMT Can we have a move of God that doesn't resemble Christ? Obviously not, but is Christ-likeness our emphasis in the church and as individuals? Do we look like Jesus? Do we sound like Jesus? In Part 7 of 'Revival Now', David Legge, using two fruit of the Spirit - Gentleness and Kindness - shows that what the church and the world most needs are Christians that look like Christ and exhibit His attributes to all, even our enemies. We will see real change in the church and society when people see Jesus in us through 'A New Christlike Movement'. This message is available at https://www.preachtheword.com now in MP3 audio format... Full Article Religion & Spirituality
new Revival Now Pt8: A New Disciple-Making Movement By www.preachtheword.com Published On :: Tue, 01 Nov 2022 10:10:02 GMT Along with preceding prayer, the next most common external feature of historic revivals is probably the preaching of the gospel. Renewal in the church may not necessarily feature many souls being saved but revival certainly does. In Part 8 of his 'Revival Now' series, David Legge emphasises the need for the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom in Holy Spirit power. We need to get back to preaching the good news of Jesus with passion and urgency. However, public preaching is only a part of what it means to spread the gospel; David also exhorts that we must be making disciples. He shares how simple disciple-making movements are spreading the flame of revival in some of the most persecuted countries on the planet and how this might well be a divine blueprint for us in the West to follow. This message is available at https://www.preachtheword.com now in MP3 audio format... Full Article Religion & Spirituality
new Revival Now Pt9: A New Revival And Reform Movement By www.preachtheword.com Published On :: Tue, 15 Nov 2022 10:10:02 GMT In this concluding message of 'Revival Now' we see the need for 'A New Revival And Reform Movement', as David considers the difference between revival and reformation. From Matthew 9, he shares how revival is like the new wine God pours out from heaven, but the wineskins need to be fit for purpose to preserve and distribute the wine, otherwise the wine is spilled and wasted and the wineskins are ruined. God is wanting to reform the church again so that she is fit for purpose for the 'new thing' He wants to do among us. God is calling the church back to original New Testament Christianity, so therefore we must remove all obstacles in the way of this move of God. Perhaps that's part of what this current shaking in the church is all about? This message is available at https://www.preachtheword.com now in MP3 audio format... Full Article Religion & Spirituality

new Our new school room! By thehutchinsonfamily.blogspot.com Published On :: Thu, 23 Jan 2014 16:17:00 +0000 Rick has been suggesting for years that we move our school room downstairs and we finally did it over the Christmas break! I LOVE it. Previously, we had everything in our dining room and while it was perfectly fine, I was shuffling stuff all day long. We eat every meal at our dining room table so we would eat breakfast, clean up, get school stuff out, clean up, get lunch out, clean up, get school back out, clean up, eat dinner, and then clean up. Whew! I know it is a luxury to have a separate place to keep our school books and work on our formal lessons and I am very thankful for it. I don't have a picture but the other side of this room is our playroom so I can have everyone down here with me and occupied. :) Full Article

new SQL*Plus error logging – New feature release 11.1 By www.orafaq.com Published On :: Fri, 02 May 2014 14:39:27 +0000 articles: SQL & PL/SQLOne of the most important things that a developer does apart from just code development is, debugging. Isn’t it? Yes, debugging the code to fix the errors that are raised. But, in order to actually debug, we need to first capture them somewhere. As of now, any application has it’s own user defined error logging table(s). Imagine, if the tool is rich enough to automatically capture the errors. It is very much possible now with the new SQL*PLus release 11.1 A lot of times developers complain that they do not have privilege to create tables and thus they cannot log the errors in a user defined error logging table. In such cases, it’s a really helpful feature, at least during the unit testing of the code. I made a small demonstration in SCOTT schema using the default error log table SPERRORLOG, hope this step by step demo helps to understand easily : NOTE : SQL*Plus error logging is set OFF by default. So, you need to “set errorlogging on” to use the SPERRORLOG table. SP2 Error Copyright (c) 1982, 2010, Oracle. All rights reserved. In addition to above, if you want to be particularly specific about each session’s error to be spooled into a file you could do this - SQL> set errorlogging on identifier my_session_identifier Above mentioned IDENTIFIER keyword becomes a column in SPERRORLOG table. It would get populated with the string value “my_session_identifier”. Now you just need to do this - SQL> select timestamp, username, script, statement, message 2 from sperrorlog 3 where identifier = 'my_session_identifier'; To spool the session specific errors into a file, just do this - SQL> spool error.log SQL> select timestamp, username, script, statement, message 2 from sperrorlog 3 where identifier = 'my_session_identifier'; SQL> spool off Full Article

new New Orleans Begins Counting Its Dead By political-football.blogspot.com Published On :: Thu, 8 Sep 2005 16:14:00 -0700 Too Little, Too Late?President Bush declares a state of emergency as New Orleans begins gathering up and counting the dead across a ghastly landscape awash in perhaps thousands of corpses. As the floodwaters recede and the search for the dead begins, there are grim signs that authorities predict a "staggering death toll" from Hurricane Katrina."It is going to be about as ugly of a scene as I think you can imagine," the nation's homeland security chief warned. As authorities struggled to keep order, police shot and killed at least five people Sunday after gunmen opened fire on a group of contractors traveling across a bridge on their way to make repairs."In New Orleans' Garden District, a woman's body lay at the corner of Jackson Avenue and Magazine Street, a business area with antique shops on the edge of blighted housing. The body had been there since at least Wednesday. As days passed, people covered the corpse with blankets or plastic. By Sunday, a short wall of bricks had been built around the body, holding down a plastic tarpaulin. On it, someone had spray-painted a cross and the words, "Here lies Vera. God help us."Categories: blog bloke, daily fisk, political Football, news, in the news, current affairs, current events, opinion, rant, ramblings, random thoughts, news and politics, politics, political, society, new orleans, katrina, hurricane katrina Full Article
new U.S. Can't Ban Media Coverage of New Orleans By political-football.blogspot.com Published On :: Sat, 10 Sep 2005 11:17:00 -0700 CNN Wins the Right to Cover the Search for Bodies of Katrina Victims: On the one hand we're fed up with government trying to sanitise the carnage. They do this not for our benefit but to minimize public outrage. In explaining the ban, Ebbert said (the city's homeland security director), "we don't think that's proper" to let members of the media view the bodies. But on the other hand the media want to cover it because they know that drama and horror sells."In an e-mail to CNN staff, CNN News Group President Jim Walton said the network filed the the lawsuit to "prohibit any agency from restricting its ability to fully and fairly cover" the hurricane victim recovery process."And the political left want to exploit it for the "Perfect Political Storm".Unfortunately that is the world that we live in. The public are but pawns in this political game. Either way the dead and the suffering lose.Categories: blog bloke, daily fisk, political football, news, in the news, cnn, current affairs, current events, opinion, rant, ramblings, random thoughts, news and politics, politics, political, katrina, hurricane katrina, new orleans Full Article
new Media blamed for New Orleans debacle By political-football.blogspot.com Published On :: Sun, 2 Oct 2005 19:41:00 -0700 Hollywood meets the news; Drama + Hype = Ratings Dan Rather was taken to task by Mark Steyn of the Chicago Sun-Times over his comments on the 'Larry King Live'' show about the Katrina news coverage. Personally I like Dan, but ever since Rathergate he does seem to be in a habit of putting his foot in it:"They took us there to the hurricane," he told Larry. "They put the facts in front of us and, very important, they sucked up their guts and talked truth to power." According to Steyn, the media got it all wrong:"Er, no. The facts they put in front of us were wrong, and they didn't talk truth to power. They talked to goofs in power, like New Orleans' Mayor Nagin and Police Chief Compass, and uncritically fell for every nutso yarn they were peddled. The media swallowed more bilge than if they'd been lying down with their mouths open as the levee collapsed. Ten thousand dead! Widespread rape and murder! A 7-year-old gang-raped and then throat-slashed! It was great stuff -- and none of it happened. No gang-raped 7-year-olds. None."Dan Rather: "That frickin' Superdome," he raged. "Five days watching dead bodies, watching hooligans killing people, raping people." Stein:"But nobody got killed by a hooligan in the Superdome. The problem wasn't rape and murder, but the rather more prosaic lack of bathroom facilities. As Ben Stein put it, it was the media that rioted. They grabbed every lurid rumor and took it for a wild joyride across prime time. There was a real story in there -- big hurricane, people dead -- but it wasn't enough, and certainly not for damaging President Bush." Stein:"How appropriate that it should be Dan Rather, always late to yesterday's conventional wisdom, to bless the media's fraudulent coverage of Katrina." He makes a good point doesn't he? CNN is the worst. It's a good thing we have bloggers to keep them in line.tags: political football news in the news news headlines headline news current affairs current events opinion rant ramblings random thoughts news and politics politics political katrina hurricane katrina new orleans afghanistan Full Article
