Mineral, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, agricultural, nutraceutical, and other compositions are produced using a mineral composition containing minimal concentrations of cadmium, lead, arsenic, and mercury and containing relatively high concentrations of micro and macro mineral elements, of rare earth elements, of calcium, and of silica. The mineral concentrations are produced by processing naturally occurring clay soil to concentrate mineral elements naturally occurring in the soil.

The present invention relates to compositions and methods to increase the output of a high quality product from the precipitation liquor crystallization process exemplified through the aluminum hydroxide recovery processes such as the Bayer process. The invention is a method of increasing the size of precipitates from a liquor. The invention in one embodiment relates to the use of a crystal growth modifier compositions added to the precipitation process to increase the particle size distribution of the precipitated alumina trihydrate.

A process for the production of sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate out of trona, comprising crushing trona ore and dissolving it in a leaching tank containing a solution comprising sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate, and an additive selected from the group consisting of: phosphates, phospholipids, carboxylates, carboxilic acids, and combinations thereof, saturated in sodium bicarbonate, in order to produce solid particles suspended in a production solution comprising sodium carbonate, the solid particles containing insoluble impurities and at least 65% by weight of sodium bicarbonate. The solid particles are separated from the production solution containing sodium carbonate. At least part of the production solution containing sodium carbonate is taken out of the leaching tank.

The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of articles of manufacture made of or based on sulphur, which comprises cooling of liquid sulphur in a volume of containment until the sulphur mass solidifies and forming of the product, characterized in that elastic pressure waves are applied to the cooling mass of liquid sulphur to produce a crystalline suspension of solid sulphur in liquid sulphur.

Process for the combined regeneration of at least two soluble salts contained in a residue of an industrial process comprising heavy metals, comprising: adding an amount of reactive aqueous solution needed to completely dissolve the salts which are desired to be regenerated to the residue; subjecting the resulting aqueous suspension to a separation to obtain an aqueous production solution on the one hand and insoluble impurities on the other hand, which are removed; successively subjected the aqueous production solution to at least two selective crystallization steps intended to crystallize, separately, the at least two soluble salts which are desired to be regenerated, which are washed, dried and regenerated separately; and adjusting the concentration of at least one of the soluble salts to be regenerated in the aqueous production solution, at the moment when such solution is subjected to the step of crystallization of this salt, to give rise to the selective crystallization of this salt, by addition of a controlled amount of this salt to the aqueous production solution upstream of the crystallization step.

Titanium dioxide which includes particles having a large major-axis length in a large proportion and comprises columnar particles having a satisfactory particle size distribution. A titanium compound, an alkali metal compound, and an oxyphosphorus compound are heated/fired in the presence of titanium dioxide nucleus crystals having an aspect ratio of 2 or higher to grow the titanium dioxide nucleus crystals. Subsequently, a titanium compound, an alkali metal compound, and an oxyphosphorus compound are further added and heated/fired in the presence of the grown titanium dioxide nucleus crystals. Thus, titanium dioxide is produced which comprises columnar particles having a weight-average major-axis length of 7.0-15.0 μm and in which particles having a major-axis length of 10 μm or longer account for 15 wt. % or more of all the particles.

Provided is a method and an apparatus for purifying potassium nitrate from the solid waste produced by a chemical glass-strengthening process. In the method, the solid waste is melted into a liquid waste at first. Potassium nitrate of various purity grades can be obtained by batch processing the liquid waste through stepwise cooling processes of cooling the liquid waste to a first temperature facilitating the potassium nitrate contained in the liquid waste to be crystallized at a first rate and then cooling the liquid waste to a second temperature close to the freezing point of the potassium nitrate at a second rate that is slower than the first rate. The recovered potassium nitrate from the solid waste can be recycled and reused.

The central cylindrical combustion chamber includes a system for the control of combustion air to the combustion chamber. The second concentric cylinder includes a system for the flow of cooling water through the first annulus between the central cylindrical combustion chamber and the second concentric cylinder. The kiln includes a system for the feeding of the agricultural waste into the central combustion chamber. The kiln includes a temperature sensing device to measure and display the temperature within the central combustion chamber during the combustion of the agricultural waste. The kiln includes a system for the recovery of ash from the kiln. In operation, the temperature of combustion is controlled to between 550° C. and 650° C. by a combination of increasing the supply of combustion air when the temperature in the central combustion chamber falls to near 550° C. and the introduction of cooling flowing water when the temperature in the central combustion chamber approaches 600° C.

An electric machine of a motor vehicle, in particular of an adjustment drive or of a radiator fan, has a rotor which is mounted so as to be rotatable about a machine axis. An impact sensing device including a plurality of accelerometers orthogonally oriented with respect to each other and attachable at a body location, each capable of producing a signal indicative of an impact. An integrated circuit is configured to determine the magnitude and direction of the impact based on the signals and operative to activate an indicator when the magnitude exceeds a selected threshold based on the direction of the impact. A head injury coefficient is determined based on the magnitude and a duration of the impact, and the threshold level of acceleration is expressed in terms of a head injury coefficient value. The head injury coefficient value is determined by empirically correlating a head injury coefficient measured at the body location and a head injury coefficient measured at the center of mass of a human head resulting from an impact.

A building panel, such as a flooring panel or wall panel and a method of assembling the same into a floor, wall cladding, etc. The panel is provided with a locking means in the form of groove (6) and tongue (7) forming a tongue/groove joint for assembling of the panels. In a preferred embodiment, the groove (6) and the tongue (7) are made of water resistant material and fanned with a snap-together joint.

An assembly including a joining element and an object, the object having a first outer layer, a second outer layer, and a middle layer between the first and second outer layers. The present invention provides in one aspect for a bracket for use with insulated forms for concrete walls. The bracket has an attachment plate for overlying the exterior of the insulated form to provide for a means of attaching the header or rim joist to the bracket. The bracket is provided an anchoring plate extending from the attaching plate for insertion into the interior of the insulated form. The present invention also provides for a method of attaching a header or rim joist to a concrete wall formed using insulated forms. The method involves cutting a vertical slot in the insulated form and inserting a bracket into the slot. The bracket has an attachment plate for overlying the exterior surface of the insulated form and an anchoring plate extending from the attachment plate through the slot into the interior of the insulated form. Concrete is poured into the form and allowed to set, after which the header or rim joist is attached to the brackets.

A dovetail anchoring system for cavity walls is disclosed and includes a sheetmetal dovetail anchor and one-piece sheetmetal dovetail veneer tie. The anchoring system is used in conjunction with building structures that have a masonry outer wythe anchored to a poured masonry inner wythe. A thermally-isolating coating is optionally applied to the high-strength veneer tie, which is interconnected with the wall anchor. The thermally-isolating coating is selected from a distinct grouping of materials, that are applied using a specific variety of methods, in one or more layers and cured and cross-linked to provide high-strength adhesion. The thermally-coated veneer ties provide an in-cavity thermal break that severs the thermal threads running throughout the cavity wall structure, reducing the U- and K-values of the anchoring system by thermally-isolating the metal components.

Thermally-isolating wall anchors and reinforcement devices and anchoring systems employing the same are disclosed for use in masonry cavity walls. A thermally-isolating coating is applied to the wall anchor, which is interconnected with a wire formative veneer tie. The thermally-isolating coating is selected from a distinct grouping of materials, that are applied using a specific variety of methods, in one or more layers and cured and cross-linked to provide high-strength adhesion. The thermally-coated wall anchors provide an in-cavity thermal break that severs the thermal threads running throughout the cavity wall structure, reducing the U- and K-values of the anchoring system by thermally-isolating the metal components.

The invention concerns a half shell element (10) for the production of a hollow body with an identical further half shell element (10), with at least one guide (20 . . . 20'″) for the further element (10), which is constructed in the region of a first half periphery (11) of its encircling edge (12), so that the further element (10) can be pushed onto the half shell element (10) from the second half periphery (11') of the edge (12) lying opposite this first half periphery (11) and guided on the edge (12) and held in a final position. The hollow bodies which are thus produced can be both inserted into steel cages and also connected with each other via bars and built into concrete layers.

The invention provides an arrangement and methods for thermally insulating aircraft, particularly but not exclusively for when the aircraft is operating in extremely hot or cold conditions, and describes an aircraft skin construction including a foam-stiffened CFC sandwich panel forming part of the aircraft outer skin mounted to an underlying load bearing aircraft structure, wherein the panel at the mounting to the structure includes two outer layers of CFC material with an inner layer of foam material sandwiched therebetween.

In certain example embodiments, a system and/or method of guiding transitions between therapy modes in connection with the treatment and/or diagnosis of a patient for a respiratory disorder is/are provided. Respiratory disorder treatment according to a first therapy mode is provided. Input indicating a second therapy mode to be transitioned to following provision of the first therapy mode is received, with the second therapy mode being different from the first therapy mode. At least one default treatment parameter suitable for the second therapy mode is assigned or calculated. Each default treatment parameter of the second therapy mode is presented, with each default treatment parameter being adjustable by an operator during the presenting. Transitioning from the first therapy mode to the second therapy mode is performed by providing respiratory disorder treatment in accordance with the second therapy mode and each default treatment parameter and any adjustments made thereto prior to the transitioning. Advantageously, the chances of a patient being disturbed by transitioning from mode-to-mode are reduced.

The present invention provides an inhalation device for controlled delivery of medicament to the lungs of the user. The inhalation device comprises an elongated housing enclosing a mouthpiece/nasal-piece in fluid communication to a narrow cylindrical tube, the narrow cylindrical tube having diameter substantially similar to the lumen diameter of human bronchi. The other end of narrow cylindrical tube is fluidly connected to a reservoir containing the medicament suspended or dissolved in the propellant. The flow of propellant from reservoir to the narrow cylindrical tube is regulated by a one-way valve, which could be electrical/electronic or a mechanical valve. The invention is advantageous by providing positive airway pressure to keep the constricted air passages of the user open, which is combined, with laminar flow of medicament suspended/dissolved in the propellant, thus, resulting in efficient deposition of medicament to the target tissues of the lungs.

A nozzle received by a patient. The nozzle has at least two portions. A first portion that has an upper end and a lower end in which a central aperture extends between the upper and lower ends of the nozzle. The central aperture terminates at the opening of the lower end of the nozzle. A second portion that has two ends, the second end is rounded. There is at least one support arm joining the first and second body portions but holding the second body portion a set distance from the first body portion.

A method and a control program for operating an anesthesia apparatus, as well as an anesthesia apparatus (12), which operates according to the method are provided. The anesthesia apparatus includes a breathing gas feed unit (22) intended for displacing a breathing gas volume in a breathing circuit (10). A piston (23) brings about the displacement of the breathing gas. Switching over between a first mode of operation and a second mode of operation during the return of the piston (23) allows for a presetting of a corresponding piston return velocity. The piston return velocity depends on a volume flow in an exhalation branch (34) of the breathing circuit (10) in the first mode of operation. The piston return velocity depends on a minimally necessary piston return velocity in the second mode of operation.

Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described that indicate an amount at which various gas flow rates should be manually adjusted in order to achieve targeted total flow rates and concentration levels.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a transmission device that includes a transmitter that generates a first electromagnetic wave to convey data. A coupler couples the first electromagnetic wave to a single wire transmission medium having an outer surface, to forming a second electromagnetic wave that is guided to propagate along the outer surface of the single wire transmission medium via at least one guided wave mode that includes an asymmetric or non-fundamental mode having a lower cutoff frequency. A carrier frequency of the second electromagnetic wave is selected to be within a limited range of the lower cutoff frequency, so that a majority of the electric field is concentrated within a distance from the outer surface that is less than half the largest cross sectional dimension of the single wire transmission medium, and/or to reduce propagation loss. Other embodiments are disclosed.

A multilayer electronic component includes a body and a coil. The body includes a plurality of sheets each containing magnetic powder particles. The coil includes an uppermost coil pattern disposed on a top surface of an uppermost sheet among the plurality of sheets, a lowermost coil pattern disposed on a bottom surface of a lowermost sheet among the plurality of sheets, and side coil patterns disposed on edges of central sheets disposed between the uppermost sheet and the lowermost sheet in a central portion of the body. The magnetic powder particles have shape anisotropy, and a major axes of the magnetic powder particles are aligned with each other within the body. A multilayer chip antenna can include the multilayer electronic component.

The present invention relates to an RF tag comprising a magnetic antenna for transmitting and receiving information using an electromagnetic induction method, and an IC mounted to the magnetic antenna, wherein the magnetic antenna comprises a magnetic core and a plurality of coils formed on the magnetic core; the coils each have an inductance L1 satisfying the specific relational formula, and are connected in parallel to each other in an electric circuit and disposed in series on the magnetic core; and a combined inductance L0 of the magnetic antenna satisfies the specific relational formula. The RF tag of the present invention is used as a magnetic antenna for information communication using a magnetic field component which is capable of satisfying both reduction in size and improvement in communication sensitivity.

An antenna assembly includes a looped but open metallic antenna and a flat ceramic antenna within the loop of the metallic antenna. The metallic antenna includes a first end portion and a second end portion at two ends. The ceramic antenna is surrounded by the metallic antenna. The first end portion is connected to the ceramic antenna and the second end is a free end, and the output power of wireless signals thusly radiated is increased at given frequencies.

A waveguide device includes a first electrically conductive member having a first electrically conductive surface; a second electrically conductive member having a second electrically conductive surface which opposes the first electrically conductive surface; and a ridge-shaped waveguide member on the second electrically conductive member. Discussed herein is an optical sheet and a display device having the same. In the display device, a fixing portion for fixing optical sheets is provided in the active area of a liquid-crystal panel, and the fixing portion is fixed to a buffer region for evacuation of the panel corner provided in the guide panel, thereby reducing the number of processing steps, and addressing the limitation that components are visible at some viewing angles.

This disclosure relates to the technical field of display apparatus, and in particular to a display apparatus and a vehicle utilizing the same. The display apparatus comprises a transmitting device for forming privacy images on a front windshield of a vehicle body and polarized glasses for viewing the privacy images. In the above technical solutions, privacy images are formed on the front windshield of the vehicle body by the transmitting device, such that the formed images will not interfere with the driver's driving. Meanwhile, the passengers can view the images on the front windshield by wearing the polarized glasses. By using the above transmitting device to form privacy images on the front windshield, an area of display is enlarged to facilitate the passengers' viewing. Passengers sitting in the rear portion of the vehicle can clearly view the images, and the visual effect during the passengers' viewing is improved.

A liquid crystal display (LCD) panel, a display device and a fabrication method of the LCD panel are provided. The LCD panel comprises a first substrate, a second substrate opposite to the first substrate, a liquid crystal (LC) layer sandwiched between the first substrate and the second substrate, a first alignment layer disposed on the first substrate, and a second alignment layer disposed on the second substrate. The first alignment layer is in contact with the LC layer and provides a first pre-tilt angle α to LC molecules in the LC layer, and the second alignment layer is in contact with the LC layer and provides a second pre-tilt angle β to the LC molecules in the LC layer, where α>β.

The disclosure provides a liquid crystal display panel, an array substrate and a manufacturing method thereof. In the method, controllable resistance spacer layers are formed on at least one of a source doped region and a drain doped region of a low temperature polysilicon active layer, wherein when a turn-on signal is not applied to the gate layer, the controllable resistance spacer layers serve as a blocking action for a flowing current, and when the turn-on signal is applied to the gate layer, the controllable resistance spacer layers serve as a conducting action for the flowing current, such that a contact region formed of the controllable resistance spacer layers is connected the corresponding source layer and the corresponding drain through the controllable resistance spacer layers. Therefore, the disclosure is capable of effectively decreasing a leakage of a thin film transistor.

Disclosed herein is a display panel in which a space between a color filter substrate and an array substrate is filled with liquid crystals. The cell gap between the color filter substrate and the array substrate is maintained by a column spacer and a filling pattern with which a contact hole is filled. Accordingly, it is possible to stress damage to an alignment film by the movement of the column spacer even if the display panel is deformed by external force. In addition, the contact hole is filled with the filling pattern, thereby suppressing overcoming the problem of insufficient or excessive amount of liquid crystals.
