A firearm for implementing an improved 9 mm cartridge is provided, wherein the improved 9 mm cartridge includes a 9 mm bullet associated with a 45-9 cartridge casing, wherein the 9 mm bullet weights at least 90 grains and wherein the 45-9 cartridge casing is configured to contain a propellant sufficient to propel the 9 mm bullet to a velocity of at least 1600 feet per second. The firearm may include a barrel, wherein the barrel is configured to operably interact with the 9 mm bullet and a chamber, wherein the chamber includes at least one chamber portion sized and shaped to operably associate with the 45-9 cartridge casing and a free-bore, wherein the free-bore includes at least one free-bore portion sized and shaped to operably associate with the 9 mm bullet.

The present invention also provides epitopes, compounds and compositions relating to these methods.

Apparatus and method for extinguishing fires in a multi-floored building

An improved apparatus for treating a fire in a multi-floored building where the fire is located on an upper floor vertically displaced from a lower floor from which the fire is treated, and where the upper and lower floors each have a selectively openable environmental access along an external wall of the multi-floored building. The improved apparatus includes a tubular structure having an inlet, an intermediate portion, and an outlet and a bracing system. The bracing system has a frame, a first pivot point, and a second pivot point. The frame provides support against a sturdy surface. The tubular structure is supported on the first pivot point and rotates thereon to elevate or hoist the outlet towards the upper floor environmental access. The tubular structure is further supported on a second pivot point and further rotates thereon to elevate the outlet.

Improvements in a fire escape having a structure of a Helix/Spiral Cylinder shape. It's a building within a building. It provides a quick and safe evacuation for all fire victims, including the A.D.A., the injured and the elderly. Its spiral design can accommodate a large number of floor levels. It eliminates the hazards acquainted with stairs and elevators. It has the capability of removing some of the smoke from the high-rise fire by way of a metal Ducting System. It draws the smoke into the center smoke shaft. The spiral is a two-way traffic pathway, which offers Fire Department personnel and their equipment a method of upward transportation to any floor-level they need for fighting this fire incident. My design can be retrofitted to any existing building.

A machining tool assembly for manufacturing a firearm lower receiver includes a first and second side jig which are configured to be disposed on opposite sides of the firearm lower receiver and configured to removably attach to one another securing the firearm lower receiver therebetween. A drill block jig is removably attachable to the first and second side jigs disposed above the top surface of the firearm lower receiver, wherein the drill block jig comprises a plurality of through holes. A template spacer jig is removably attachable to the first and second side jigs disposed above the top surface of the firearm lower receiver, wherein the template spacer jig comprises a spacer aperture disposed through a template spacer thickness. A first and second pocket templates are removably attachable and disposed onto the template spacer jig. A router support plate is disposed onto either the first or second pocket templates.

The present invention comprises an assy PH base at the bottom, a gas combination valve, a reducing bushing unit, a PH perforated cylinder, a tubing unit along with the pilot assembly, PH pan head, a gas combination control assembly, a gas liter unit, a burner assembly and an assy PH emitter grid assembly. A reflector is mounted at the top of the assy PH emitter grid assembly. The present invention provides an automatic ignition system along with ON/OFF switch and the device also has an inbuilt transformer which provides the safety to the user(s). Hence, the present invention is very easy to operate and user friendly.

Gas fired radiant emitter having a premixing chamber for preparing a premix of gas and air; a perforated ceramic plate acting as burner deck; and a pilot burner having a premix gas supply flow tube and two electrodes. The premix gas supply flow tube of the pilot burner extends from the side of the perforated ceramic plate where the premixing chamber is located, into a through hole in the perforated ceramic plate. The premix gas supply flow tube has a gas exit in the through hole in the perforated ceramic plate or at the combustion side of the perforated ceramic plate. The gas fired radiant emitter has features so that in an area of the perforated ceramic plate around where the premix gas supply flow tube extends into a through hole in the perforated ceramic plate, no premix gas flows through the perforated ceramic plate.

A monitor for a natural gas-fired appliance is provided. The monitor comprises: a natural gas cycle-monitor interface configured to receive cycling signals from one or more of: the appliance; and a monitoring device located in the appliance and/or proximal to the appliance; a processor, in communication with the interface, configured to monitor cycles of the appliance based on the cycling signals; one or more indicators, in communication with the processor, configured to provide an alarm when the processor determines that the cycles of the appliance meets a threshold value; a first reset device configured to temporarily reset the one or more indicators to turn off the alarm when actuated, the one or more indicators again providing the alarm after a given time period following a temporary reset; and, a second reset device configured to reset monitoring of the cycles at the processor when actuated.

A fire starter includes a casing made from a first material a first material having a first time associated therewith that defines a length of time that the casing burns after being ignited. A second material disposed in the casing has a second time associated therewith that defines a length of time that the second material burns after being ignited. An igniter, disposed in the casing and adjacent to the second material, generates a first thermal event to ignite the second material wherein the second material combusts to define a second thermal event that ignites the first material. An actuator is coupled to the igniter and is positioned outside of the casing for activating the igniter to generate the first thermal event.

Fire Safety Oxygen Mask

Provided herein are fire safety face masks and systems comprising the same for displacing excessive oxygen away from a surgical area. The face mask comprises a body portion, an exhalation conduit fluidly connected to the body portion and an in-flow tubing in a fluidly connecting relationship with the body portion. The fire safety face mask may further comprise a gas sampling port disposed on the body portion to facilitate monitoring of inspired and exhaled gases via a multi-gas analyzer. Also provided are methods for preventing fires in an operating theater during a surgical procedure utilizing the fire safety masks and systems disclosed herein.
