The winding box features a worm gear that engages the translational sprocket. A handle bar can be rotated with a drill to cause rotation of the worm gear. Rotation of the worm gear causes rotation of the translational sprocket and ultimate winding of the torsion spring.

The positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery has a layered structure and comprises at least nickel, cobalt and manganese. Further, the positive electrode active material satisfies requirements (1) to (3) below: (1) a primary particle size of 0.1 μm to 1 μm, and a 50% cumulative particle size D50 of 1 μm to 10 μm, (2) a ratio (D90/D10) of volume-based 90% cumulative particle size D50 to volume-based 10% cumulative particle size D10 of 2 to 6, and (3) a lithium carbonate content in a residual alkali on particle surfaces of 0.1% by mass to 0.8% by mass as measured by neutralization titration.

Electro-mechanical and electronically controlled access devices are described for controlling access to a building, premises or area in a secure manner such that a subject who is deemed ineligible for access will be barred entry and may be optionally retained. The devices can contain multiple rotatable door panels, which can be positioned behind one another. The door panels can be controlled by mechanized arms or other control devices in order to control the passage through the device. The direction of flow through a device according to these embodiments is electronically controlled and may be changed at any point in time. At any instant in time, the flow through the device is unidirectional. Multiple devices can be stacked together to form clusters, which can be controlled according to traffic, time of day, or other factors.

Security shutter assembly

An invention is provided for a security shutter assembly. The security shutter assembly includes a shutter door having a plurality of operable louvers pivotally mounted between vertical stiles. A locking element is attached to the first vertical stile, and can be set in a locked position that secures the shutter door closed, and an open position that allows the shutter door to be opened. The locking element includes a louver flange portion that extends over the louvers when the louvers are in the closed position and the locking element is in the open position. However, the louvers block the louver flange from being positioned over the louvers when the louvers are in the open position, thus preventing the locking element from being placed in the open, and unlocked, position while the louvers are in the open position.

Seal with primary and secondary sealing lobes for use in roll-up door applications

A roll-up door seal that may be monolithically formed from a single material of uniform density. The seal is sized and adapted to assemble to a standard roll-up door frame without a separate or dedicated frame structure. The seal provides redundant sealing surfaces, positioned to cooperate with both the door and door frame, which ensure an effective and durable fluid tight seal between the cargo space enclosed by the roll-up door and the ambient environment. The seal may be produced by extrusion from a flexible, weather resistant material such as EPDM, thereby providing a low cost solution for sealing roll-up doors having industry standard door frame constructions. The seal is firmly engageable with the door frame, such that the seal may be installed with little or no secondary fixation.

An engaging apparatus that incorporates a first armor structural plate combined with a first structural cylinder having a pair of first slots and a connecting bolt shaft, which first structural cylinder inserts into a conventional door knob bore hole with the bolt shaft passing through the existing door latch assembly in concert. A second armor structural plate combined with a second structural cylinder that matingly connects to said first structural cylinder from the opposite side of the hinged door, allowing the penetration of the connecting bolt shaft through the second armor structural plate bolt hole which will conjoin the two devices with a security fastener, thus sandwiching and securing the hinged door and door jamb between the two armor structural plates.

A method of manufacturing a lithium-ion secondary battery electrode sheet disclosed herein includes the step of preparing powder 220 of granulated particles. In this step, the powder (220) of granulated particles (240) including active material particles (241) and a hinder (242) is prepared. The powder (220) is deposited on a strip-shaped collector foil (201) that is being conveyed. Then, the powder (220) is removed from widthwise center portions (202) and (203) of the collector foil (201), and a squeegee (106) is brought into contact with the powder (220) remaining on the opposite sides of the center portions (202) and (203) of the collector foil (201), thus adjusting the thickness of the powder (220). Subsequently, the powder (220) remaining on the opposite sides of the center portions (202) and (203) of the collector foil (201) is pressed.

Disclosed is a silicon-based anode active material for a lithium secondary battery. The silicon-based anode active material imparts high capacity and high power to the lithium secondary battery, can be used for a long time, and has good thermal stability. Also disclosed is a method for preparing the silicon-based anode active material. The method includes (A) binding metal oxide particles to the entire surface of silicon particles or portions thereof to form a silicon-metal oxide composite, (B) coating the surface of the silicon-metal oxide composite with a polymeric material to form a silicon-metal oxide-polymeric material composite, and (C) heat treating the silicon-metal oxide-polymeric material composite under an inert gas atmosphere to convert the coated polymeric material layer into a carbon coating layer.
