Ahead of the film's release, Vikrant made a surprise visit to Godhra railway station on Monday, the site where the Sabarmati incident happened

Vikrant Massey said, "That was the miscommunication, and I should have been a little more careful"

The actor, who stars in the upcoming film ‘The Sabarmati Report’, based on the 2002 Godhra train burning incident, emphasised his secular credentials while saying that his perspective on the state of the nation has shifted in the last ten years

The 12th Fail actor is being heavily criticised for his recent stance on the safety of Muslims in the country. He also referred to India as the most livable country in present times.

Ahead of the release of his upcoming film "The Sabarmati Report," actor Vikrant Massey made a surprise visit at Godhra Station, which inspired the movie.

Vikrant Massey: এক সাক্ষাত্‍কারে বিক্রান্ত বলেন, "আমাদের বুঝতে হবে যে আমরা একটি খুব তরুণ জাতি। আমরা ফরাসি, ডাচ এবং মুঘল এবং অবশেষে ব্রিটিশদের দ্বারা আক্রমণ ও শাসিত হয়েছিলাম। শত শত বছর পর নিপীড়নের শিকার হয়ে অবশেষে আমরা পেয়েছি 'সো কলড স্বাধীনতা', কিন্তু আসলে কি সেটা স্বাধীনতা?" 

Vikrant Massey admitted that he was disappointed with the death of his character Bablu Pandit in Mirzapur. He also recalled saying yes to the show due to a miscommunication.
