Ankita Singh has always dreamt of a career in singing, but her family was against it.

Neha Kakkar turned to Instagram and shared some throwback photos with Aditya from their Indian Idol times.

They say nothing succeeds like success, and singer Neha Kakkar could be the best example of that. Right from Cocktail that came out in 2012 to Simmba in 2018 to a lot of other films, she has become a singing sensation and is loved by her fans immensely and dearly.

However, this success has been anything but easy and a cakewalk. Not only for her but even for brother Tony Kakkar, times weren't fruitful. In a live chat with Zoom, she spilt the beans on what she and her brother did to pay their school fees. She revealed that they used to dance at jagrans and perform there so they could use that money to pay for their school fees. Neha also revealed that she began working at an early age to help her family amid their financial crisis.

Today, both the siblings are immensely successful and doing extremely well for themselves. On the work front, Tony recently unveiled his single, Chand Ka Tukda and evening shared this news with his fans on Instagram along with the link of the song. Neha Kakkar has seen a lot of highs and lows in her personal and professional life. Talking about the former, she was in a relationship, and a rather strong one, with Bollywood actor Himansh Kohli, but fate had other plans and they broke up. After her relationship with the actor ended, she declared publicly that she was depressed.

She even broke down multiple times on Indian Idol every time she saw a singer perform on stage with all heart. It reminded her of those magical moments she spent with Kohli. But now, it seems she's not going to weep or cry anymore, she has now come up with something called the Move On Challenge and it's for all the girls out there and not just her.

In a video that she uploaded on Instagram, she urged all the girls not to cry over their exes. The video starts with her breaking down and suddenly transforming into a bold, confident lady flashing her contagious smile. This moment suggests she's happy being independent and herself. The video has a montage of multiple girls doing the same.

This is indeed an innovative and imaginative initiative the singer has come up with. Now the one thing that will be exciting to see is whether any other Bollywood or Television celebrity uploads such a video or becomes an active part of this challenge or not.

Neha Kakkar has been on a roll ever since she began her career in Bollywood. She has belted out hit after hit lately, including "Dilbar", "Garmi", "Sunny Sunny", "Aankh maarey" and "Badri ki dulhania". Neha Kakkar, who is one of most successful singers in the industry, says she had never thought she would reach where she has today.

"It feels great. I always tell people that I am still living in a dream. How can this happen? A small town girl from Rishikesh went to Delhi and then Bombay. It (the journey) has been good. Never thought about where I have reached today," Neha told IANS.

Neha, who was born in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, doesn't want to stop here. "It feels amazing and I think even now I have to make it even bigger in life," added Neha, who rose to prominence with the song "Second hand jawani" in the 2012 film "Cocktail".

Long before cracking Bollywood, Neha in her childhood days used to sing bhajans at religious events. "I started singing at the age four and till 16 I was only doing bhajan sandhyas," the singer, who has been crowned as the remix queen in the industry, told IANS.

From religious songs to party numbers, how did the shift happen? "If you see my Jagran footage, I used to sort of party there, too. I would dance and sing bhajan's as a little kid and people used to… paagal ho jaate the (go crazy). I have been partying since then," said Neha, whose siblings Sonu and Tony Kakkar are in the industry, too.

On the work front, Neha recently featured in a song with rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh titled "Moscow suka". The number is a mix of Punjabi and Russian languages. The track currently has garnered a whopping 26,304,948 views since its release in April.

Since all of us have been locked inside our homes due to the nationwide lockdown after the Coronavirus pandemic, we all are majorly missing meeting our colleagues, friends, and even beaus.
