We can't thank you enough for the amazing week we've had. The Jungle Dome looked great on the website, but it is only when you arrive that you realize what a special place it is. It's rare to find a place in such a beautiful setting with so many places to see and activities to do in such a close distance.

We enjoyed every second; from the horseback ride through the jungle, boat ride down the river, the Black Hole Drop, cave tubing, etc. Also, we are so glad that we spotted a comment in the comment book about David's night time jungle walk- it was brilliant. The overnight stay in the cave was loads of fun too.

Most of all, thank you to Andy, Simone, David, Mynor & the rest of the staff here for making us feel so welcome, comfortable & part of the Jungle Dome family during our stay. Every aspect was amazing and - like I said at the start- we can't thank you enough. You have a special place & we will spread the word in England for you.

 It is sad to leave, but nice to go knowing that we have made so many new friends!

Wow! What an amazing week! Jungle Dome far exceeded all of our expectations and the bar high for the rest of our trip. The staff here are amazing and truly made the experience for us. It felt like we were among friends, not resort staff, all week.

The food was incredible, the lodge is beautiful, and the experiences in the jungle were life changing and unforgettable! We will definitely be recommending this place with raving reviews to our friends and family, and hope to make it back here in the future!

On Sunday, about 100 Atlanta Film Festival audience members gathered at Dad's Garage Theater for a somewhat surprise screening of the Ondi Timoner project. "We planned this 48 hours ago," said Timoner. "It makes perfect sense for us to be here because Jimmy's from Atlanta." Timoner's camera follows Jimmy Stice, a small staff of mostly Americans, and a few hundred millennial interns who are building a sustainable town called Kalu Yala from scratch in the middle of the jungle. Kalu Yala means "sacred village" in the Kuna language. "We're building a town to look for the best ways we can live in terms of compassionately treating each other in a global community. Access to food access to healthcare access to socioeconomic mobility that's actually beneficial to the environment," said Stice in the show’s trailer . <strong>EXPECTATIONS</strong> With the soundtrack of <em>Junglee</em> arriving on the day of the film's release, there has hardly been any awareness around the music. Moreover, the film is a jungle adventure and hence at best one expects composer Sameer Uddin to have come up with situational numbers. <img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-967442" src="https://www.bollywoodhungama.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Junglee-2.jpg" alt="" width="720" height="450" /> <strong>MUSIC</strong> There are only three songs in the album, and the first one is written by Anvita Dutt. Titled <strong><em>'Fakeera Ghar Aaja'</em></strong>, this one is about a man's homecoming and makes for a situational setting. With a decent sound to it, it has some functional rendition by Jubin Nautiyal and just about passes muster. Next to arrive is Kumar Suryavanshi written <strong><em>'Garje Gajraj Hamare'</em></strong> and this one is an ode to elephants. It tries to be all cute and nice with a child accompanying Vidyut as they go around the village. However, the end result is hardly the kind that would make you feel like playing this Navraj Hans, Hamsika Iyer, Abhishek Nailwal and Gulshan Kumar sung number on loop. Kumar Suryavanshi is also the lyricist for last number in the album, <strong><em>'Dosti'</em></strong>. This one actually turns out to be better of the lot with Mohan Kannan's vocals adding to the song's appeal. This one has a kind of setting that Pritam puts together for many a Mohit Chauhan numbers and actually makes for a pleasant hear. <strong>OVERALL</strong> The music of Junglee is by and large forgettable. <strong>OUR PICK(S)</strong> <em>‘Dosti’</em>

A group of 22 people from Mumbai and Thane district went for a picnic at Tandulwadi Fort in Palghar district where they lost their way out of the jungle in the dark. They called up the police control for help and the local Safale police of Palghar district rushed to their rescue and escorted them out safely.

According to the Safale police sources, "A group of 22 people from Mumbai and Thane district visited Tandulwadi Fort situated in Safale Palghar district for a trek on Saturday where they decided to walk through the jungle around 7:30 pm but after sunset, they lost their way out of the jungle.

Fearing of being lost, they contacted the police control for help and senior inspector Sandeep Sanap from Safale police station despatched a team of officers to their rescue. Constable SU Solkhe, SB Bhavar, NL Dhongde reached the spot at around 9 pm and rescued the group. Their respective parents were contacted after which they were returned home safely," said Hemant Katkar PRO of Palghar district police.

As technological advancements slowly distance younger generations from nature, the need for activities that take kids back to playing outdoors instead of shooting random avatars in multi-player online games becomes more evident.

“All human beings are born wild. It is only as you age that you grow detached from the outside world. This disconnect has many repercussions on the developmental growth of children. Research shows that syndromes like ADHD and restlessness stem from the lack of outdoor play,” explains Shardul Bajikar, naturalist at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, where adventure activities were included in workshops for children in 2018. The green lungs of the city will play host to Be a Mowgli in the Jungle workshop this Sunday, which includes zip-lining, rappelling, rock climbing and commando bridge for seven- to 14-year-olds.

“We want to introduce adults as well as young residents of Mumbai to the various possibilities of exploring the outdoors,” says Bajikar, mentioning how there are natural sports outside the world of cricket. Group outdoor activities also help kids develop their social skills at a young age, teaching them the meaning of teamwork, he adds.

Other activities and workshops like bird watching, gardening, walks on history and archaeology are also conducted regularly at the SGNP. The aim, Bajikar explains, is to change the perception of people when someone brings up a national park, which is usually seen through the lens of watching wild animals on a safari ride.

There may be a relevant message lying at the heart of Junglee's story, but the wafer-thin plot renders director Chuck Russell incapable of translating it into a thought-provoking film. Poor execution and bad acting makes this Vidyut Jammwal-starrer a mere comedic watch.

This wildlife adventure revolves around Raj (Jammwal), a vet working in Mumbai. He shows his extraordinary Kalaripayattu skills by taking on a bunch of goons who are torturing a stray dog. While his relationship with his father may be strained, the two harbour a shared passion - their love for elephants. Raj's trip to the elephant sanctuary owned by his father turns all the more interesting when he meets female mahout Shankara (Pooja Sawant) and a journalist-animal rights activist (debutante Asha Bhat). However, our mighty hero has little time for romance - trouble looms large over him as he has to protect the elephants from poachers (led by Atul Kulkarni) who trade their ivory tusks for moolah. How Raj saves the pachyderms from the hunters forms the crux of the story.

Russell appears to be well-acquainted with the strengths and weaknesses of his protagonist. So, you have a script that has little plot and more frills. You will be sold at the good ol' hand pummeling, as Jammwal spices up the desi maar dhaar with mixed martial arts. As for the rest of the cast, Kulkarni's poker-faced bad guy act is something one doesn't expect from a seasoned actor. Sawant is convincing while Bhat as the babe in the jungle is completely wasted. Akshay Oberoi as the forest ranger and Makrand Deshpande are sincere.

On the upside, Mark Irwin's cinematography keeps you hooked to the screen. He captures every moment in the lush jungles with sincerity. But that doesn't save the film from sinking. With a runtime of 115 minutes, this thriller feels longer than it should. You will miss the deft direction that Russell displayed in his previous outings, The Mask and The Scorpion King.
