Rescinding a 2014 ban, the planting of genetically-modified crops and the use of neonicotinoid pesticides are allowed in U.S. national wildlife refuges again.

The department currently has a fleet of 810 drones, which are used to monitor federal lands. Of those, 786 are Chinese-made and 121 come from DJI, the leading provider of consumer drones. DJI denies that its technology poses a threat.

The Justice and Interior Departments today completed the first in a series of national level training courses, “Criminal Jurisdiction in Indian Country” (CJIC), designed to strengthen the ability of tribal and local law enforcement to participate in the investigation and enforcement of federal crimes in Indian country and fulfill a key training requirement under the Tribal Law and Order Act of 2010 (TLOA).

The Justice and Interior Departments this week launched a new training seminar for tribal and federal law enforcement on investigating and prosecuting sexual assault cases on tribal lands.
